I’m jumping on the bandwagon by starting a diary to keep track of my progress in PE
Sunday, 02/12, marked my 3 month anniversary in PE, and what a great day it was! Not only did I unlock RDA, but Gryffon and I got a nice HoF just before the end of the 10k Peds in 10 Days event.
November 12th feels like ages ago. I remember browsing through CNN and finding an article about a virtual space station being sold. So I Googled Project Entropia, saw that it was free to play (yeah right!) and hit the download button. I convinced Gryff to do the same and we arrived in Fort Troy in nothing but our aesthetically pleasing orange jumpsuits and spent the next hour or two figuring out how to move and how to sweat. There were many CND noobs (as Gryff calls us) dropped on Calypso that weekend. I remember many orange jumpsuits running around with a mob or two or three or four (you get the point) trailing behind them. Once we got the basics down it did not take us long to realize the best strategy is to follow the hunters or to run for the river when the mob is giving chase. I did the sweat thing for.. uhm.. an hour or so when I decided I needed a gun. Found the transfer link on the login page, made a deposit, and have been wearing that link out ever since And so my path as a hunter begun.
After 2 months freelancing I decided that it was time to join a Society. Gryff and I wanted to be in the same one, so we started asking around and checked the forums. We came up with a short list of Socs that piqued our interest and after a recommendation decided, HU it is. We started tracking BadBoyz down in every forum we could find and pestered him until he let us in It’s been a little over a month now since we joined and we’ve had a blast participating in those fun and crazy soc hunts and chats.
I started the usual route of the opalo but at 2.5K rifle I decided to switch to handgun (as my primary) as soon as I’d reached 3K. After a comment from Gryff, I realized that it fits my playing style better – I’m a bit of a cowgirl. I reached my goal early last week and started skilling with my pistol right away and I love it.
Well, that’s my 3 month PE life in a nutshell.
