Melee Durability Amplifier III (L)



Tested on Genesis Stingury T6 at each Tier level with Damage Enhancers.

Its looking from these fruit tests that you come out worse off using the durability amplifier when you take into account the weapon decay saved and the amp decay added on.
Its reducing the decay by 18% as it says but it costs more than that to use it.
Plus you can see that at no matter what DPS level or Decay level you use it at it the Amp decay increases accordingly so you will always come out behind by roughly the same amount.

This is completely counter-intuitive isnt it?


I will post the full fruit tests for all these decay values so they can be checked also in the next post.

Might be my ignorance but what is wrong with that? Isnt the amp supposed to prolong the life of the blade (which it does)? Surely the amp decays itself, but thats what amps do.
I might be missing something, as maybe the sword has less swings with this amp attached (you can do 1000clicks with sword without amp, but 900 with amp)? Probably just misread something, so if i am wrong, i am apologizing in advance.

You're right, I just wasnt looking at it the right way....

Just for numbers sake....
1000 swings @ .24070 = 240.70ped
1204 swings @ .19738 + .0025 = 240.65ped

So yeah thats a bit more dmg for the ped spent.

Makes complete sense now :dunce:

Yeah I'm just trying to get my head around whether there is an advantage either way with going for more swings (Durability Amp) or less swings with higher damage per swing(Trauma Amp) and exactly how this affects MU.

I just cant seem to explain it to myself atm:scratch2:


Wondering if theres any value in getting the decay numbers for the Melee Trauma Amplifier III (L) for a comparison or once again I'm completely missing the point.

The durability amp lowers damage per pec (bad), but transfers decay from the weapon to the amp. As such, it is only good to use if MUweapon >> MUamp.

The regular amp can increase damage per pec (which is often the case), increase damage per second but very often in the case of (L) amps also carry more MU than the weapon. In this case it's however it can still be worthwhile to use one despite MUamp > MUweapon
 
high swords

Durability amps are excelent if u need to tier up some HIGH tier uber sword. like Sparkbite. so u can get it to higer tier.
