New Mining Log (with actual results :) )

It's been a fair while, my friends. As is par for the course, this miner took a long break from the game to recalibrate. Was able to make a $2k USD withdrawal in January (which was pretty cool - first time ever withdrawing with profit - was +35,500 peds from mining during the last log but spent a good bit hunting for fun) and then took some time off as I had started a new role at work and figured it was time to take a break from the nightly mining grinds.

Since coming back, the returns have been rather bleak. Tried amping a little bit and going un-amped on Arkadia as well, but I haven't been able to generate much in MU and the TT returns have been rather low. So...... *Insert wild loot theory here* .......time to start journaling again since 1) it's rather fun and 2) has never hurt my returns hehe.

As with my last log, I will be recording the results for every 5k ped ($500 USD) cycled, + or - a little bit. Standard rules apply:

1) All markup cost will be recorded immediately.
2) TT cost and outcomes will be clearly outlined.
3) MU will be displayed as recorded when sold, so MU will show with a small lag.
4) I will share the planets where I am mining. The rest is up to you to discover.

This first part of the log is a little higher than 5k peds because I just recently decided to restart writing about how things were going. Future cycles will hover around 5k peds. I try to share as much data as I can in terms of numbers - logs without raw numbers strike me more as "commentary" than true "logging", and I don't want to be disingenuous about my results.

Hope you enjoy!

Run 1:

TT Cost - 6894.30
TT Return - 6380.26 (92.54% TT)
MU Cost - 104.00
MU Output - 187.60
TT + MU % - 95.27%
All-in % - 93.76%

Expect the next update towards the end of August or the start of September. Taking things pretty slow and mostly unamped to start. Also don't have the time/energy to grind like I did in late 2023/early 2024.

First update to the log is coming a little sooner than I had expected. Was able to mine a fair bit over the past week and a half, so providing an update a little sooner than planned.

Run 2: Rocktropia

TT Cost - 8416.78
TT Return - 7711.58 (91.62% TT)
MU Cost - 213.00
MU Return - 804.72
TT + MU % - 101.18%
All-in % - 98.65%

This series was unfortunate. It's tough seeing TT returns this low on untaxed or 1% taxed lands on such a high cycle. Hopefully this next run proves to be better. Roughly breakeven due to low TT returns and only 46.22% of materials have meaningful (>110%) markup.

Im sitting about the same TT return (on crafting tho) since september of last year (11 months by now).
Just get yourself prepared that... it might be like that for quite some time. Plan accordingly and dont get yourself discouraged. Eventually... (hopefully) it will come back to "normal".

Thanks for sharing your results / numbers, good luck with your mining activities!

Bruh, how many mining logs have you started, and then abandoned?

Things looked a little better this time around.

Run 3: Rocktropia

TT Cost - 4600
TT Return - 4737.98 (102.99% TT)
MU Cost - 124

About to sell some markup from the last run and from this run as well, so still waiting on MU results. But you can at least see that the after-MU cost result on this run was positive. Wagering that MU output return will be between 7-9% after auction fees.
