Question: Skill kill bonus

Many years ago the skill kill bonus “contained” skills from all weapon types that you had used on the mob. Thus it was advantageous to use different weapon types on the same mob: e.g. a laser main weapon and a melee finisher.

Is this still the case?

I never tested this but are you sure you actually received more tt skills from the kill bonus, by using several different weapon types? I would assume the kill bonus tt likely got split among them instead.

This was circa-2005 and as far as I remember there was no easy ways to determine skills tt value. However there was an apparent advantage overall, as the secondary weapon skill was “dragged” along quite quickly.
This may have simply been due to the difference in progression rate between skills at very different levels.
