socsite.eu: get a subdomain for your soc

i was bored at work the other day, so i got an idea and bought the website socsite.eu (society.eu and societies.eu was taken).

the plan was to give easy access to all the different society websites, and maybe create a some kind of society portal. i havent created the main website yet (a miracle is needed to get my ass into gear), but i have a temporary and very very very basic page for now.

so heres the offer:
if your soc wants an easy url and/or want to be a part of the portal you can pm me or post in this thread. what i will do is to create a subdomain that is related to your soc (in my case nos.socsite.eu) and setup a url forward, ip forward or a CNAME. if you have your own mailserver i can also set up a MX record or even a NS record if you want to control it yourself with your own nameserver.

your subdomain will then be listed on the main site, and i will possibly add the opportunity to create a profile and other relevant information like tags saying recruiting/not recruiting/top50 position ect.

if you have any usefull links (tools/websites that can benefit the community) i can also put those up on the website.

this is of course free of charge and no strings attached.

use this link to get all the soc's people want you to share. i don't think they'd have given the links if they didn't want people to know about them so i doubt permission would be a problem

Hi, I was bored at work too. So I have created our soc forum. We are a new french soc of 6 active members. We are playing for more than 6 months now. A noobs soc . The forum need lots of work for the personalisation but now it exists.

i'm very sorry to have to do this sob but could you please remove our soc (jb.net) from your website? it has recently come under attack from spammers, and i want to take our soc out from under the spotlight in hope that it dies down.

has anyone else experienced the same problems we are currently having? if so, please post as it will help narrow the source of the problem down.
