The "500 internal server error" is a standard HTTP response code. It's kind of a catch-all code for when there is a server-side problem that they don't have a trap for or don't want to explain to the user.
The rest of the garbage is ASCII representation for some sort of core dump data that their server coughed up when it puked on your request.
