So, have you ever got yourself in a bidding war over a rare or high quality rated BP or one you just really just wanted RIGHT NOW? And then, once you finally won did you wonder if now you've wasted all your PED and are going to regret buying this possibly useless thing only to fill another gap in your Component Book?

Well I got in a brawl last night and finally won a Standard Plate IV BP with a QR of 90.7 and the following is a couple runs I made with it.

Standard Plates Crafting Results (Followup)

After all of this standard plate grinding my blueprint achieved a 100qr. Having become disallusioned with the item having not received any global sensation, I loaned it to a friend to learn with. Wouldn't you know that in about 20 minutes he globaled off the thing :eek: !!

Anyway, I do plan to begin a similar thread on an alternate blueprint. I am taking suggestions, so if anyone has something they would like to see please let me know.

so you lost about 30ped in 7x112 ped turnover, that is quite stable for the "gambling profession". maybe try next with a sib bp of the same level?

Indeed. I have much cause to fear the sib bps costs. But i think if I find one that has a QR similar to the plates it might not hurt as bad as building a 1qr sib bp. Any ideas on a specific bp? My profession levels are:

Mechanical Engineer = 11
Metal Engineer = 11
Attachment Engineer = 10.5 (would rather do component research than attachment :eek:)
Electronics = 10.3
 
Would recommend Springs I, low MU for materials and a bit MU for the final product. Also good to have a high QR BP because you will need them to make Springs II.
Would not recommend any SiB BP which you just unlocked, way to high initial losses.
 
Do you think a 44qr springs bp would be high enough to begin testing or should I seek the 75-90qr range?

You should already have a quite high CoS on it because of your skills, still if you can find a higher QR one for a reasonable price it would save you a few PEDs in the long run. From my exprience qith a QR above 75 it might pay-off a bit better to experiment with the condition bar a bit, below that one might get only more ressidue (which from Simple Plastic Springs I has almost no MU at all).

gathering materials for a 1000 click test on 44qr simple I springs now (much more expensive of a test than plates :) . If you want to donate I would appreciate it. Otherwise I'll be buying animal eye and muscle oil from this little Weapon ACU in PA auction house.

I will begin the Springs threads once I gather enough for the first run.
