Finally decided to start my own diary... more for my own records than for entertainment but feel free to read


So the story so far (quick version)

Used to be quiet well known for hair and beauty - quit. Sold skills. Returned. Am a born again noob


So now, here I am, having spent all the money I made in profit last time I played on a new 40" HD TV, a PS3 and a new computer.
I dont have the cash to put large amounts of ped into the game, so got a few basic skills chipped in to start me off and am making semi-regular small deposits to keep me playing.

Many people have been asking if I will be going back into beauty, but the answer is no. There are just too many people doing it these days, and unless you are number one, (or damn close to it) I honestly dont believe there is any point. All the gels and sprays etc have gone through the roof in price and I am content i sold out at the right time.

That does leave me with a dilema though, what should i do now? For the moment, I am just doing a little hunting, brinig the skills back up to where I was - The price of boar went up 3k peds in the 3 months I was away, so cant even hunt big mobs any more... I dont want to find myself getting bored so need to find myself a new business venture. Watch this space on that one. I have a few ideas, but nothing concrete just yet. I will stick to my own guide though - dont attempt to make money from MA, only try from other players... I need to find something unique that no one else is doing and become the market leader....

I am happy to be back in my old society Terra Verde who welcomed me back with open arms (I figure they were drunk). I am also happy to say during my three month absence it seems a whole load of people deleted me from their friend list (from back in the days of hair styling) - its nice to get a global without having to stop hunting for 10 minutes to answer all the PMs

Mr 711 was nice enough to give me my old job of EF reporter back (after minimal begging) so am in the process of writing my first (this time around) article.

Other than that, for the first time since buying my new PC i experienced bad lag today - Arokh tried helping me by giving me instructions to ping various things in DOS and loads of numbers came up. Made no sense to me at all, but hey, we cant all be computer geniuses (is that the plural of genius?)...

Anyway, cutting a long story short, I gave up in the end and went to watch the final of Big Brother on TV

I think for my next diary entry i will get some photos like Donald does for his diary - makes for a more interesting read!

Not played much over last couple of days - for some weird reason that lag I mentioned in my last post is still happening - doesnt matter where i go its the same

I checked my connection speed at half a dozen sites and on various servers across the world and I get anything for 2-8 meg download and 250-512 upload. so cant be down to that...


Still currently working on my article for EF front page - waiting on an email before i can complete it - I think it will be quiet interesting, but suppose i am biased lol

Only other news is I was shocked to hear a number of people in my society dont know what a Jaffa Cake is.. needless to say I have scolded the guilty parties and offer to sell them some for PED

Well, since last post, the lag problem dissappeared - no idea why

I finished the front page article which was published while i was in Amsterdam - had some lovely comments to come back to which was nice

I have also started the process of educating my fellow TV members on the joys of Jaffa Cakes, sending a pack off in the post this morning


In game not a lot going on. I think i will start saving up IRL to make a decent deposit so i can at least get my boar armor back (I miss it sooo much!)
I really need to start hunting more to build up my skills again. Since cashing out I really notice the low HP and inability to use a bloody decent gun... The (L) ones really help with this, the skills do go up noticably faster than without an (L)...

Starting to wonder if I actually have enough going on in my life to make a diary worthwhile lol

Made a little deposit the other day - was getting sick and tired of not being able to hunt...

The good news is, after setting out on a 300 ped longu hunt on the last 50 ped of ammo i hit a silent global, followed by a 104 ped esi yay me! This gave me a 750 ped profit on the hunt, so I treated myself and brought a boar harness. think i will slowly build my boar set back up piece by piece.

Struggling to find a new weapon atm - I currently use a svempa T5 and when i look at wiki, everything that should be the next step up is never available in auction. maybe the BLP route wasnt the right one... there are always more laser weapons available it seems...

Last night went on the first society event we have had for a while - a nice little 23 ped beacon - opallo only. Was still too easy even with opallo, so maybe a bigger one next time.. The loot was its usual terrible self - 78 ped total loots from the team for a beacon costing 200 ped. I honestly cant understand why these thing are so expensive in auction - i have never been on one thats actually profited.

We also have made plans to repair the society gremlin armour we have through a series of sweat events (or something similar) so we can build up a little armoury for the society. Will be nice to be able to lend stuff out to society mates that dont have the right sort of equipment for some events. - Will have to persuade the senior members to invest in Boar!


I need to find another front page story now, as nothing in the pipeline and Sir Odd has already "bagsied" the new VU story. Can anyone reading this (if anyone is reading it) pm me if they know of something interesting going on...


Thats about it for now - sat at work on my lunchbreak and need to build up my nicotiene levels to an acceptable amount to get me through the rest of the day. bye!

I am so crap at keeping a diary! Totally forget.

Ok, since last time, I am quiet happy with the way things are going - we recently completed the first full armour set for the society - a full Gremlin (F) set including the feet. Its my hope to build it into a decent stockpile of the more specialised gear that most people cant afford - in this case acid protection. The theory being if we get some acid plates everyone in the society would be able to take on Globsters or uber Fungoids... Yes, we could all afford gremlin, but most of us have better armour than that, and why buy a set just for two mobs types... you know what I mean?


Also got two hofs (one silent - Thunderbird feet) Its so freaky as i havent deposited for a bit and ran out of cash - then MA gave us the halloween gifts which i prompty sold and went hunting with the proceeds - now I have a decent amount of cash - even after getting boar shins (YAY!)

Have started mining - (that argo hof was an accident when the little bugger attacked me!) finding it very theraputic - nice to have time to chat whilst playing as opposed to hunting when i dont have time.

I dont think I could do it forever, but it make a nice change - seems cheaper to... not sure if it just feels that way though as its slower to spend the ped...



Will be depositing on Thursday so i hope to hold on to enough of my cash that the deposit will give me enough for another elusive boar part - maybe the gloves... Obviously i am going for feet last in the hope the price settles down.

Pinky back in Just read my last post - I solved the Gun problem I got the delta back - I know its shitty decay and i dont have the skills to use it, but its fun!! The plan is with my next deposit i will get another crappy Svempa T5 and use that for everyday stuff like longu but keep the delta for when I get bored or in trouble.

I am still convinced higher decay weapons give better loots. Those two hofs came after buying the delta...
