Weapon range enhancer thought..

Weapon range enhancers are useful to increase your range of your weapon,but then it hit me.. those enhancers are only useful when shooting beyond the weapons normal (w/o range enhancer) range.
It would work nicely on a tag weapon which you only use for taging, but if someone use this enhancer on their regular gun, aren't they risking to loose that enhancer each time they pull the trigger when they have no use for the enhancer at all.(read that as.. mob closer than base range of that weapon.)
Anybody thought of this?

I haven't used any enhancers yet so maybe Im off here..

Yes, the range enhancers are mostly useful for tagging or even more so for PvP where it means you get to shoot your opponent before he shoots you.

Presumably the opponent would close the gap after the first or second shot, so the rest of uses the enhancer would not be helping but could be lost anyway.
