The answer is Paycheck.

I attribute that lapse on the large dose of Perishers strips I took in earlier (boggles the mind). :o:

EDIT: Did not see your post while writing this. Thank you. As I said, Paycheck I was looking for––the story, that is (by Philip K. Dick). I also know the movie. It should have been an easy one.

One of my favourite books by that author. It was made into a PC game but not a film yet, still, I have time on my side. ⏳

If you haven't seen Tron Legacy, you are missing out.
