well the strangest thing has happened to me. the other day i was getting awesome loots of argos....the all of a sudden nothing. literally nothing, not even a pec. when i team hunt though, we get great loots still, but on my own nothing.....what are your thoughts on this? im kinda lost on what to do, and im on my last full repair with nothing else to sell, so any ideas would be welcome...
 
Im having the same....
ALone... killing a ton of armax etc... like up to 10 no loots in a row.... and when i do get, then like 34 pec off an armax bull mature....

Then I team up with a friend who's deposited lately... go out and kill some exarosaur youngs (1 shot with my ep45)... and get 3ped plus loots consistently ... with him not actually hunting.....

So I think they nerf loots if you havent deposited in a month.... I have other friends who have noticed this as well......Deposit big... and go get a ton of loots... towards the end of the month.... deposits start dropping of.... deposit again... and loots get better....

coincidence?? maybe..... but who can be sure its not the truth ?
 
change the area, pray or weapon....

I am always huting with 3 diff. weapons axe, handgun and rifle, if after 10 kills I gain no loot i change the mob. If the other mob in this area is not looting than I change the area.

My problem is that I am almost looting nothing when hunting in team, but allone, I can brake even or make even some profit.

Nice places to hunt: Argo + mollisk (S of Hadesheim outpost) Cornu, Feffoid (E of phoenix) Mollisk, Ubranoid (W of Medusa) Allophyle, Estophyle (S of Limandian) Atrox, Maffo, Merp, Fauc. ( SE of Zychion) Snargs Tethys.

Those places and mobs have been shown for me as the best hunting combinations, I had 2 Globals and a uberhof in Tethys Kreek in just one week.

Also it happens that when I hunt a type with hg I gain no loot, when i Hunt it with the axe, a gain some loot, and when i kill it with the riffle I gain more loot (this was just an example, the combinations are endless)

thanx for the replies, i noticed that for awhile i was getting good loots off feffs and drones, then they dissapeared too.......as for the depositing bit, my huinting buddy and i used to buy peds thru paypal, so im not so sure thats it....

i hunt basically with a valor and a marber to tag when in groups, but i just sold my marber...lol

ill try some of the places mentioned, only prob is while i do enough damage to kill mobs like atrox and allos, my armor doesnt give me much protection from em, and i cant afford to get new armor just yet.....

*sigh* hope i make some decent loot coz i wont be able to deposit for a couple of weeks still lol
 
Another advise I can give to you if your armor doesnt give you enough protection is:

- hunt in the near of a rev. terminal
- move arround the mob while shooting
- Stay in one area for at lest a few hours, dont give up when they are not looting, every new spawn can bring more loot
- When U fight a mob u cant handle, take him as much dmg as possible until it killes u, after that run back and kill it (this is how i HoFed on a Snarg old in Full Goblin :p with a ewe 40 merc )
 
I am getting sometimes 25+ empty mobs in a row, this is not so bad as I still almost break ever, the problem I have is the psycologial feeling "no point in shooting it its gonna be empty" when I get proved right time after time after time after time..... I no longer enjoy the hunt, I get the "empty mob blues" even when I global its spoiled by the feeling of all the emptys! a gobal is no longer "cool, luv U MA :)" now its "I f***ing deserve it, I bet the next 20 are empty!"

like I said I still almost break even so all in all the loot system seems to work for me but NO I do not enjoy hunting in this VU
 
Ok somethings I have noticed....

Good loots move around.... and you can follow them....
I was once hunting at ithaca.... loots good... then they went sour... so I went east.... and found good loots again... went further east... loots bad.. came back west a bit... loots good for a bit, then poor.... then went east again and caught up with them.....
We're talking day by day here.... and with me spending a lot of time hunting (6 hours or more)... about 200 ped spent per day, and returning with up to 500 ped return.... <- sure that seems like a pure coincidence... but this was done over hours and hours... backwards and forwards... and it was def better in certain places... like 5-8x 10-40 ped feffoids in a row.... or 15-20 no looters, and then like 2 ped here and there....

Another thing.....
My sword gives excellent loot. Im not sure why, but the decay is too high, so I seldom use it... (Valor).

strangest thing of all is while im getting bad loots, my buddy is getting good loots at almost the same time....i think im just curesed lol

i have been hunting pretty hardcore in the past weeks, im on about 12 hours a day, hunting for most of em....i think im just gona try those spots :D thanx alot guys! any further advice is still welcome :D
 
maybe its a coincidance, but I made small experiment yesterday on cornu, had about 4 k ammo on my HG and 4k on my riffle, I was shooting one Old with my HG, and one with my rifle, the HG killed gave no loots, the rifled one gave 5 PED + some wool, I tried it on severel other cornu Old, and it was the same, I had smaller loot with my Hg than with my riflle.

Hrm, I´d say don´t hunt a mob you cant handle.. You might aswell give your peds spent on ammo to charity (to me for instance).

And yeah changing location seem to work for me too. If you dont get 10 "no loots" in a row, move to a different location with a different mob.
 
I find if Im having bad loots in one place, no matter where I go, the loots remain poor.... then all of a sudden they improve.... normally on my last few ped of ammo....get more ammo... loots bad again.....

hapenned something similar to me the other day
started the hunt very well 16ped from a cornunda young then spended allmost 5 axes with little or no loot, was going to get at least 50% loss, was already cusing myself for not stoping when i got the 16ped (already had hunted before and barely made even) when i started to attack the last one, a caudatergus young had to finish it off with jester since all the axes died and BAMM 24ped and a goblin harness saved my hunt big time.
not the first time it happened and i'm starting to get tired of it, i prefer constant smaller loots that spending 5 axes and getting 2 bigger loots

It's this kind of looting that people feel that Project Entropia has recently become Casino Entropia. I've had this happen now a number of times. It is usually one or two loots that save the day so you break even. Otherwise, a big loss in peds.
 
im still getting nothing off argos.....gona try feffoids now....maybe maffs 2...oh btw this isnt a respawn loot issue coz this is the 2nd day of no loots ;p i am wondering though if it has something to do with skills in anyway, bcoz u know that skills have to affect ur loot somehow.....i started not looting at about 1890 lb...any thoughts on this?

your skills don't have anything to do what kinda loots u get, trust me on this...
 
I think Ill go for some small Axe run just in the near of Phoenix, a little bit berry, some mollisk, and snabbles :p

Do anyone know where I can find some nice ammount of Tripoids???

never seen a whole spawn of them....

Tripudions, lots of em used to be found close at SC NE from Troy, dunno if thats the case anymore...
 
well, i just realized that looking through the other posts....saw some globals of players that im sure have alot higher skills than me on argos......so i wonder what it is?? coz it was so sudden....from great loots to nothing...

lol maybe im trying to rationalize too much, hehe, i guess i just want to understand why
 
There have been some big HoFs on Argo lately, so i dont think they will loot for some time this much, alas you could also change the area for hunting argos, u have some of them NW of Argus if I remember correctly, there also some S of Argus, but there are also, Atrox Old Domi and Guardians...

Maybe it s just the area you are hunting in,,...
 
ok i have some news lol

after the little update i started looting again! nothing too great but enough to keep me going....more molisks now then argos, before it was the other way around..

i wonder if the update had anything to do with it?? also there has been an increase in the maturity of argos around hades outpost....

West of Jason Centre is a large spawn of young/mature tripudions, mixed with foul young/scout.... watch out for the snargs tho, theres a couple providers mixed in.

theres also a lot of tripudions in the swampy area between PA and billys, with foul and some maffs mixed in.
