Is globalling linked to desposits?

Well, it's been bugging me for some time now....
I had my firts global (146 ped on atrox old) the same day I activated my credit card. Didn't give it too much thought at the time, but an IRL friend of mine, ingame known as Panther, had the same thing happen to him. This "chain" of coincidences stops here, but following my other thoughts ;), I couldn't help notice that every deposit I make (30$ or more at once), brings me a/a series of globals.
Further on regardig the matter, my highest was a 149 ped melchi deposit, so now I am thinking: 'Maybe if I deposited larger sums, I could get larger globals/Hofs'.

I am kind of testing my "insticts" with this thread, and maybe some insights about how the "globalling phenomenon" happens to you might bring some insight into this.....

I have no idea how it works but dont think its affected on how much u deposit. I hear ppl who never deposited making there way through the game without bigger problems. Donnu what to think about that but I could say like this I havent deposited for 1 1/2 month now and still things seem to be as normal. Some of my mates deposit all the time but dont seem to get better or bigger loot than me.

Big=global/hof
 
I have heared rumors about this as long as I have played.

What I believe is that when ppl deposit, they also hunt more then when they don't deposit. Chances for geting a globale is then higher also.
Pretty simple theory that I think is correct.

couple hours after a deposit i got my highest hof o_O
but my second highest i didnt deposit and i had several other globals without depositing so i'm doubting:p
 
I don't think that depositing affects globals. I have deposited large amounts ($50+) after activating my card, and have yet to get a global. I'm not sure what does determine it, but I hunt most of the time after such deposits and still nothing.
 
NO NO NO and i'll tell ya why my wife has never technically deposited ever. To MA it only apears that ppl have givin her money. and she has had like 10 Globals. I have been the one depositing and I have ZERO! nothing Nada.

I also have known some that have NEVER depositied and have withdrawn.

Some have sweated got some money got a 1k+ Hof and lived off that. recycling it over and over.

It's all RANDOM

I think i agree with Kjetil.
I recognised also that i globaled easier just after a deposit and im sure its because i hunt in a diferent way than.
I think its to holding out even if you got a lot of no loots,keep on and it will come
This is my two pec thoughts :)
 
I had an similar theory based on observations / Coincidences and did notice I was hofing more after I deposited.

But don’t think that is why after playing for so long..


I think what kjetil says about hunting more after deposit makes that theory seem correct.


Im also starting to observe that the HOF / Global’s seems to pop up for the most part 99% of the time faster then regular loot. This makes me believe that the Global’s / HoF are already assigned to that mob 99% of the time, and who ever kills this mob no matter what skill will get the hof.

I agree, I've had my biggest hofs when I'd not deposited in ages
 
Is globalling linked to desposits? *cough* Look at the mining ubers. 90K, 40K, 30K and so on.. Have they deposited alot? You bet ya they did...

Is globalling linked to desposits? Generally, no. Regarding mega-uber HoF's.. Maybe it is.

HunterZ I dont know personaly, But stormer is an IRL friend. Below 300$ ? Not a chanse..

I always getter better loots right after depositing. It has happend EVERY time i have deposit and vupty i get nice loots the same day and then it stops....
I dont care, for me PE is a game and i love it :D
 
HunterZ personally posted that he deposited only 150$. About Stormer is what I saw posted by smbdy. Btw, if he is an IRL friend, how much he deposited exactly? Anywhere close to 20 k $?

I am not gonna speak for somebody else. He has to answer that himself.
 
im quite sure kjetil is correct since i have had times with many deposits and no globals at all and then later after selling some stuff had alot of globals in short timeframe

I have to agree with that.. I usally dont go after one mob.. like the sunday hunting trip that I posted the screenies in t hof section..

I started in Nymph, ran south.. Killed few argos but they didnt loot any good so I tp'ed south into oilrig pvp, killed a few trox and checked out the rig.. ran south, killed few more trox, then 3 alphas decided it was time for lunch.. revived jumped west, landed on a spider, revived, jumped NW .. landed on 3-5 warriors .. Revived, jumped north, killed a few armax and had first global, ran west, global on cornunducauda, turned north, killed trax,longu,merp,berrys.. started running west again, found the huge tower, continued west, killed armax,longu,trax north of the outpost NE Jason center, global on a trax, jumped to the drone spot east Jason.. killed a few started running south, jumped to the umbs
used up most of the remaining ammo on them, started running SE to Twin, used up the last ammo on a few argos.. Jumped to Twin, TPed to Caravan
Rearmed, jumped south.. killed a few trox and globaled, jumped back up to caravan, tped to Zeus, Jumped east, 3rd neconu globaled..

Thing is that I had loads of ammo with me and I killed all red dots that I had on radar.. I dont share the views that many ppl have, in regarding certain mobs as crap mobs, sure they dont drop shadow armour, but its hard to beat a 1 shot 300 ped fuga or a 2 shot 560 ped pluma ..

i guess the point thats missing is this

deposting doesn't affect hofs/loots

but

spending money on repairs/ammo etc does .

my theory anyway :D
 
Ive never officially deposited but Ive had lots of hofs and globals.. once I had 10 globals/hofs under 40 hours... so no.. pretty sure it has nothing to do with deposits. funny though this rumor has been around since I started and proably even longer =P
 
I think there is no connection between deposit and loot or HOF/Globals.
My expierence is , after i deposited (not only one time) i get lower loot for 3..4 days until i wasted the deposited peds. Then its back to normal. Sometimes i think that it was a mistake to begin depositing. :rolleyes:
 
As Sharyn just said in the beginning, it happened to us just after we deposited (this for a couple of times) but not as a rule. Anyways, the global is not linked directly to the moment of the deposit but, logically if you deposit you spend and invariably you increase the chance to global/hof. So, if i deposit today maybe the global comes in a couple of days of spending (or maybe not).Best example: last deposit was low as ammount (not gonna` disclose the amount :) ), finished the money in a matter of hours and the next day, with no more than 12 ped left increased my ped-card-ammount to almost 400 ped.Do remember that it was a deposit made one week ago. So..my point is: if it`s linked the global will come in a matter of hours, if not..deposit,play and maybe :rolleyes: it will come.

Well, I've seen some of your answers and it got even more "cloudy" for me :rolleyes:

I must add that each time when I deposited, I firstly repaired quite a lot, so maybe the expenditure is what really counts.....heck if I know.....

I remember seeing a poll some time ago, asking about the skill status when globaling for the first time. I'm thinking now: "Would the sum of one avatar's skills be in some way a measure of the avatar's expenditure?"

Or maybe we should call it LUCK (I hate the concept, as I associate it with some kind of a 'random' implemented function in the system) ?

And it remains a mistery......;)

It has nothing to do with depositing. I deposit like 30 dollars in my hole playing time and i got more than 2000 dollar at the moment

I bet is random. Or, well, a controlled randomness;) But, still random in a great measure
