MA Chance Mining-System on CND and Calypso/Amethera?

Hi all,

today i droped 150 Bombs on CND and get only a Medium. Now is my question,
is this normal? It isnt posible, drop 150 Bombs and found only one claim.
Thats not the first day to have this angry result of mining. Now, we can
say: You have not enough Miningskills, but i think isnt so.

Same problem yesterday. I droped 400 Bombs get 2 Globals and some smal claims, but i lose 250.

Many times, i have problem to get a break even or make profit with my
mining profession. At the moment, profit i think is not posible. I try both version, mining with amp and without amp but the same result.

"Question to Marco, how is this posible to drop many Bombs and get only a
few coast back." Dont say: You dont find ore you search on the wrong postion. I chance all my mining locations. I never drop 400 bombs on the same position!

If the only reason that we more deposit - then i leave this game soon.

Whats your feeling and opinion?

Well, we're already in the philosphy area here. What means "normal"?

Yes, your situation is normal, but some smart-ass would come and say "hey, I am doing excellent on CND (with some aditional bragging)".

Mining on CND SUX, period. Is just gambling there. I had extreme variations there, like 100 peds back from 400 peds probes (so 800 tries) or like 120% return or even 1000% return... Exactly a casino, that is mining on CND.

Maybe mining Calypso might be better, I dunno. Becoz exactly moments like yours, I don't mine and I wait some change in the system.

The system is random.

Unfortunatly, you have been on the wrong place at the wrong time.

You can add a million things to the equation... but it wont matter.

Feels like the system is fixed.. but its not.

sorry for your loss.. we all had similar moments.

Keep trying.
 
The systems is in constant change. Therefore, what is good one day can be crap the next...
Totally normal and at times incredibly frustrating.. "Thats just the way it is. Things are never gonna be the saaaame"
Well, never is a strong word.. As we all know.. "Never say never"
 
Nothing changed on CND mining.
Be patient and soon system will "re-balance" your loss.

Here's the problem.

When you reach a certain level, the tool you are using no longer finds you deposits as before.

It has been discussed a lot, when people use tools and gain the skill bonuses, they find a lot of deposits...

Once the skillbonuses is over, you need a better tool with skillbonus to keep finding them.

Yes i am out of lerning with 105,211,213 and orefinder-214 ... what for a tool i have to use :)?

indeed, how would that even work? Whats the cycle of the rebalaning, does it balance over 1 week, 1 month, 1 year? would they track your profit/loss across all activities, so a hof on crafting would result in crappy hunting loot for the rest of the cycle?

Maybe thats where skilled people having longer and worse bad periods and longer and better good periodes come into play? The time it lasts?
Some think thats how it works anyways.. personally i have steady profit instead of goods and bads it seem..

Edit: The boring part of that is of course that i dont get much large hofs.. Its starting to suck.. I want to get a freaking 1k PED TT loot soon, one should believe youd earn it when youve played since beta.. 975 just AINT THERE!
P.S.: Thanks for the nice items tho MindArk.. I dont mind those either, but Its just pissing me off that i havent had a solo hof over 1k yet

nothing changed... u cant profit or break always, its part of the game to lose money... i got on sunday 2 globals and 250 ped profit

yesterday i hunted with way more money and lost ~250 ped

dont start always whining and complaining if u lose money ITS PART OF THE GAME
 
I went up to CND just over a week ago, so before the VU.

My mining returns have been much poorer since the VU (got 2 poor enmatter deposits last night :mad: )

Maybe MA altered something? Or maybe its just coincidence? Who knows?

Just try to minimise losses and ride it out ... same old, same old.

Also remember the same mining rules do no apply on CND as they do on Calypso so mining is a completely different animal up there. If I go to CND to mine its strictly a fun gamble much like going to a resort in Las Vegas. Its much riskier to mine there but the rewards can be very large if you hit the right spot at the right time. I have not been up since the new VU due to a bugged hanger but the last time I was up there I saw many many miners and the ore deposits were weak. There are a few miners who strictly mine CND and probably do quite well but I would think they have the ped to absorb the bad times to when it cycles to a good time. The domes are a small space and the finders range is limited but I think people still carpet bomb entire domes very quickly and who really knows how long and how many deposits will respawn in that dome. CND is waiting for that dome to have a fresh respawn with no other miners around :tongue2: which is rare these days.

So in a nutshell most of us have had a run similar to yours on CND hell I have even had them on Calypso and thats when I change what I am doing (scale back mining increase hunting) Eventually everyone has their day GL :)
 
I took 400 peds to CND the other week, Found 3 conciderables and left, as soon as i was back on endoria I had 3 globals and a hof.

I will never go back to cnd for mining, I have gone 4 times and always lost a load of ped I seem to do well on the planet though.
 
Yeah CND is just like a casino, you win bigtime or you lose much. My first trip I went profit 1200 ped on three days :D . But the next time I went up to CND I lost 300-400 ped and the third and last time I went up there I profited 200 ped so I was kind of lucky I guess.
 
I was going to give the standard answers of "wide variances at cND" and "biodomes are easily bombed out" but then I noticed that dan has fairly high mining skills. he should already know this.

dan, my advice to you would be to get your ass off of cND and see if you still suffer the same horror-show on calypso. I'd try on amethera rather than eudoria, first, as it's a bigger area and there are usually less miners running about.
 
I had not been to CND since the first week it opened, so decided I needed a change of scenery and up I went.

so far dropped 200 bombs, 2 poor hits... :eek:

needless to say, my mining equipment is now at the very very very bottom of my personal inventory....AND...i have removed said equipment from all my hot buttons.

maddox IV and Old Alpha Exo's for me until i cant stand it any more....

At least hunting im only losing 20 USD a day instead of what I was going to lose if i continued mining....

And remember Boys and Girls, this is not a bitch or a whine post...just information to add to the mix....

*stops typing long enough to deposit another 20 into the black hole of the EU universe.....*
