Hi
I was planing on making an addon (sweat bot), when I came onto this statement in the EULA:

" You may not analyze, hack into, interrupt, redirect or in any other way affect or interfere with any data and/or network communication to or from the Entropia Universe System, the Entropia Universe servers, clients, websites and systems, as well as not use any other software than the Entropia Universe Client to interpret or affect data sent to or from the Entropia Universe server and client systems. ..."

would a program that controls my avatar ingame be considered against this?? The program will be made from the software "AutoIt". It will not directly interfere with the EU client. It will "move the cursor", "click the mouse buttons" and "click the keyboard buttons" in a timely manner.

I'm hoping the answer would come from a developer or an admin and not based on guesses:),
thank you in advance

A sweat bot is illegal. There have been sweat bots created in the past. All have been banned.

Yes it will and will get you banned.

It has happened numerous times with bots of any kind, since EU is about real money.

Definitely against the EULA and this type of action has caused numerous players to be banned in the past. Using Doctor Evil style quotes will not alter the matter.

The answer is an obvious no-brainer. You will get banned as well as every account using it

In the future you should file these requests directly to support via your account management panel on www.planetcalypso.com or in game using the support option.

The forum is not a place to interact with support staff. A developer really doesnt need to answer this question. Support staff is more than capable here.

I can see the Entropia community is very strict about sweat bots. Thanks for the answers guys;)

Since sweat bots steal potential income from legitimate players and use server and bandwidth resources that someone actually playing could use, the community also keeps an eye out for suspicious activity.

so you're saying I should send a support ticket instead of asking on the forum??:)

Could you set some examples of suspicious activities asides from sweat bots?

Yeah I am. If you want clear answers the players arent the place to go. The support channel is.

I get the impression you're not actually looking for clear answers though. You strike me as a person who is looking to debate. You're trying to find a weak point in the structure and then settle yourself in and see how much you can get out of it before getting caught.

1) Read the TOU and EULA.
2) Anything that isnt clear there, ask support.

Here you will not get the definitive answers that you seek, your picture of the health of the ruleset of EU will be distorted, and you will settle into a niche that will get you banned very quickly. All the while you will be blubbering around about how it wasnt fair and how you were never told. The truth of the matter will be that you never actually did your research properly and asked the right people.

Obviously this is not allowed. If you wanted to make a hunting bot, mining bot or whatever, it would of course still be against the EULA, but you could argue that it shouldn't be, as it isn't free like sweating is.

In the end though, even if you made your sweat bot, you would gain much by it. I suggest getting a paper route instead.
