Petition: Restore old mining loot system

I have waited to better test the new mining system before doing this, and personally I don't find attractive at all mining with new system MA recently introduced.

Maybe before the TT return was too low, but at least there was the possibility to hit big hofs/towers at least, that now seems completely impossible.

Are you missing old mining system with less average TT return but with the possibility to hit big towers/hofs?

Its not that I do not like the new system, it's so boring...

Hopefully we are in the middle of a rebalanced and this is only the first stage.

I don't mine much but I'd like it too go back to the way it was. While they are at it I wish they'd put hunting back the way it was too.

It's not just mining though, seen any big hofs on crafting and hunting lately? (aside from the 25k and 80k on those event mobs, those don't count in my book since they cost a ton more to kill than regular mobs)

The new system's killed the fun in mining quite a bit for me too, before i could take a couple of lvl 5/8/10 amps to Foma and still feel like i could hit a nice surprise If it didn't work out there was always the next run Now you'll be most likely to hit a swirl accordingly adjusted to your amp, with a 1 in 100.000 chance of hitting something 1 or 2 classes above.

I vote for the old system - play EU gets more and more boring! The first days with the new system was nice. I got every day about 90-110% payback. But now we have a new system with the same payback as the old was, but no more hit a claim higher as VII unamped.

They made the new system that noobs get more payback, and so maybe go longer for mining. But i was more like the old system, where you had to invest in skills to get better payback!

The old system (the very old system) had some goodies also, like Alien space ships to find, and strange signals in finder. It always was a 50 ped bonus, and maybe a beacon inside the loot. We had also an extra ordinary in the loot. I never get this since weeks/months now.

Please MA, just put in the old system! With alien space ships and old claims, and the "find some thing extra ordinary" while mining.

You forgot "BORING" and that the improving only was in the first days, and now we are back to the old payback without geting any globals (unamped)!

New system based on knowing and skills (i know where i can find resources with great MU and go mining, and have a chance to loot any rare ore with my skills). 4 days ago i found Angelic Scales (SOOTO). So as result - planning ops and profit.
Old system was based on luck and random. Was a small chance get a tower unamped. Now - no chance.

But old system was better, because luck was interesting. Now - stupid planning.

Thats the `midle` solution that it was allready implemented since a week long now...
i mine lootable pvp areas only and fuck if i can score 90% tt return for more than a week..
Same NRF like old system and new claim size cap makes it perfect yeah...why the fuck ppl would risk theyr skins in lootable pvp if its like that..
oh and about your petition...i liked this new loot system while it worked as supposed ( 90-110% tt return) since mining is suposed to use your brain too beside your ingame skills...
Add strange signal, robot spaceship, UL amp drops and such from old system...yeah would be nice..

It is the avg returns which they have improved for most. You dint notice it because u were doing way way better then the rest and so the change was not really what u wanted. Perhaps take a generalist view next time rather then a stereoscopic view of things with yourself alone considered.

1st, generalization from overwhelming threads here and why do you play this game, why do you hunt big then sell you weapons all the time?Why does anyone?Why do people try to be eco?Why do people search for MV loot? = I believe to increase there money. I define that as gambling - putting X in and attemping to get more out.
2nd, I do not know other peoples returns I can only show from my experience, i do nothing speciall so most miners would probably see around that. I have also helped three miners archive constant 100%+ tt returns.
3rd. As stated on every single post I ever say, I can only say my own wants. Yes this system MAY hold people longer, but long term people will stop mining, this can be backed up by the evidence found on entropia life, which is not 100% accurate, but shows a general picture of the falling in mining globals/mining overall

The thing is that there were 10x more threads in the old system then there are in the new. The ones that complain of the new system however, dont stop mining by the way. They just complain how its boring but no one seems to stop mining. However in the earlier system , due to losses people had to stop. Bottom line is, do u think people prefer being bored or being broke

Secondly, yes 100%+ returns is no rocket science but what % of EU believes that, leave alone is able to get it. 95%+ of EU struggles to get 90% tt returns and there are 100x threads about that

Finally i do understand you can only speak for yourself but you have to understand that MA needs to think of majority and not a few.

100%+ returns in mining on the old system was relatively simple. Now it is doable, but would not be worth it due to time put in.

I agree MA need to think of the majority, to which they are doing now Yes..... But they are only thinking short term and not long term, long term it won't hold up. All I can say is mark my words

P.s.
- I think there are more people achieving 100%+ returns than we all think there are.
- I know off two people who have not deposited/claim they have not for a year, and I believe them. Everything they say matchs up.
- I also reckon I know of 1 maybe 2 others that are profiting on returns

My peds last longer and it doesnt feel anymore like jackpot-amp-casino so new system suits me a lot better.

I like the idea of a middle of the road system, but maybe some of the small amps up to lvl 2 0r 3 work the new way and the big amps work the old way, or have different series of amps/finders... maybe a new brand for the new loot system and the old ones for the old system or vice versa... The new Gambler series of finder/amps for old timer results....
