August Estophyl competition!!!

Starting from 1st af August competition will be held on OL 28.

Rules are simple. Hunt there or mine. Get globals/HOFs. Post screenshots with them in this thread. Screenshot must include global/HOF mesasge, coordinates and time( P and C buttons). Ending date is 30th of August. At that point all screenshots will be counted and person who will accumulate most PED in globals/HOFs will receive a prize. Which is

1000 PED!!!

Big gratz sherwood.

It seems like on the first day of the month you have already won the competition. Others will need 25 100+ globals to get the same result.

I warned Jolana about this 2 days ago, so she could change this competition to the system most others use (with the euromillions draw), but never got a reply.

I'll pass on this comp now and wait for the next one. Too bad :(

erm the month just started...esto guards should also have a good chance to drop hofs, so try to get your own. if not for competition, then for your own fame (and some jag) :)

but gotta agree...a competition with "most accumulated loot wins" aint motivating when you see what others had so far. better to upload pics AFTER end of august, or send them via EMAIL (like nostrop did on allo land) so it stays hidden.

Hope that you want try, august is a long month and estophyls drop HoF very often... I don't fell me sure with that HoF, for me is a lucky period yeah but don't know how much it could continue...

Don't wanna be a trasher, but contests like this are not good - And I'll tell you why :)

Let's say that Nakia didn't drop that one bomb on TI, that she dropped in here on this land isntead, then she would have gotten 38K ped to show in one go - Now Esto is a nice mob, and yes it can give alot of globals and HOFs - But who can say that they can global/hof more than 38K in one month on a mid lvl mob ?

Don't change it now, it's not a good thing to change it in the middle of a contes :) But make it global amounts, and not ped amount :)

I agree with you, another thing could be divide the prize in two prize of 500ped (one for the ped amount and another for global amount). I'd like hear what thing about it Jolana.

About posting the global pics, I'm to post them day by day and not olny at end mounth or by e-mail to the event organizer. It keeps the race alive and fun :)

There is a difference between keeping the race 'alive and fun' and 'stomping the competition in a single bound'. It's sort of like starting a race with your opponent having a 100m head-start on you... makes you feel like you've failed without even trying. Ever read threads of competitions where Stryker is a part of?... After seeing how many globals that maniac hunter gets (I mean that in a good way, Stryker! :D.), I don't bother trying to enter the competition.

And after seeing that HoF it almost made me *not* go out there. Granted, I'm glad I did (halfway decent drops and almost a global {short by 2 pec!}), but having to beat a 4 digit HoF in a month long competition when I'm lucky to see 500 ped *total* in globals in a month... that's asking a bit much :S.


BTW Jolana, very nice land area. Found plenty of Force Nexus & Sweetstuff (and I mean a *LOT* of it, lol!), but didn't do any ore mining so don't know what minerals are there..
Only suggestion I have to make the LA better is obvious - A Shopkeeper!
It's at least 5 jumps to the nearest TP, praying you don't hit a clump of argos (NE) or a few tripudion stalkers (S-SE) OR falling onto a chomper (W)... About the only reason I left when I did - ran out of ammo :(.

Anyway, good luck to all, and I hope to see many more globals & HoF's (specifically the latter :D.) for others!

Sherwood, I know you won't mind winning this competition, but maybe you should post your combined globals/hofs' once a week instead of once a day. That way a few of us might not feel like we are in a losing battle, mmk?

If you guys don't even try to get a hof like flu did, you just let flu win. That is your choice.
If I could take those esto's on I sure would try to beat flu :D
It would be fun, and since i hear those esto's loot good, not even a big loss of ped at all.

Im right there with you. Couldn't do these things alone and it looks like it's not for teams. Otherwise, I'd take my n00bier than me daughter out there and at least give it a heck of a try! :)

I agree with Tissue there: there are enough people ingame who can try and win this competition.
And besides, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em :D (oh and don't forget to press p / c as i did).


(i'm always too suprized to press p / c, so I asume this will be regarded as an invalid entry)
