What the hell is a FAP ?

The FAP (Fast Aid Pack) is a little toolkit containing useful healing material. The FAP monopoly is owned by Omegaton Industries, but crafters are allowed to make their own copies labeled as EMT Kits :)

How to use it ?

Nothing tough ;)

First, equip the tool. Then, left-click on another avatar to heal it or yourself if there is no one on the crosshair. You can use the right mouse button for better accuracy. A FAP is empty when its TT value is 0.

Where can I buy it ?

The beginner FAP (FAP-5) is available in TT for 15 PED. The decay on it is very low and the maximum healing power you can hit is 10 HP, so the FAP-5 is very useful for both skilling purposes and low-level mob melee hunting.

WARNING : Stand still while healing. If you don't, healing power will be divided by 4, unless you walk backwards or sideways and on a flat landscape.

Useful skills

Medical : Anatomy, Diagnosis, First Aid
General : Dexterity
Attributes : Intelligence

Hidden skills

- Medicine (Triggered at Capable Paramedic)
- Treatment (Triggered at 1500-2000 Medicine)
- Medical Therapy (Triggered at Remarkable Paramedic)

Links with other professions

Using a FAP makes you a better hunter/huntress (Anatomy), especially if you are hunting with a rifle, handgun or carbine (Dexterity as well).

This works both ways, so a hunter/huntress may heal very well even if he/she has never used any FAP.

you can allso run sideways and fap ;)

Very nice work on the FAP-chart.

:tongue2: They just keep comming. I have to say that awesome work & finally charts are the way they should have been from the start.

what is "Healing interval"?
Lower bound : Minimal healing power with no skills.
Greater bound : Maximal healing power with no skills.

If you want to get the actual interval for a FAP with your own skills, multiply your minimal healing with a FAP-5 by the interval.

Rough examples :

FAP-5 : Interval = [1;5] and maximum healing power = 10.
Mod FAP : Interval = [29;80] and maximum healing power = 160.

n00b healing 1-5 with a FAP-5 and 29-80 with a Modified FAP ;
Amateur Paramedic healing 2-10 and 2 x (29-80) = 58-160 with a Modified FAP ;
Qualified Paramedic healing 3-10 and 3 x (29-80) = 87-160 with a Modified FAP...

...and so on :)

Thanks to Devil Doll and Cindywood for pointing this out, you can fully heal sideways and backwards indeed, unless you are on a hill/mountain. Someone already told me on PlayMMO, but oh well, I forgot, as usual :scared:

thanks, that clears a lot.

one question though:
i do not have my "paramedic level" displayed - got sniper on all three prof standings.
How do i find my level?
my Fap skill is 1965

and with 2600 fap i do 42(max) about 70-80% and min is 24 or 14 not sure (will update)

perc has lots of good info about Project Entropia, i.e. check out this link, i hope it helps

perc

PERC won't give this answer. Candyman's website will in some way, though :)

Get the following skill values :
- Anatomy
- Dexterity
- Diagnosis
- First Aid

Add them up then divide the sum by 4 (to get the average), and then check the associated rank.

If you unlock any hidden skill, make sure you include them in the average... :)

Thanks for sharing this by the way. Could you share your Paramedic average as well ? ;)

being a tool crafter, i have to say im pretty pissed that the crafted med kits are not even as good as the looted faps... i mean, the fap-5 is way better than the ek-1000 crafted version....

WTF?!??! that was pretty freakin stupid! why on earth would you make something from the tt BETTER than something you can craft?!

=\

Because *cough* some company that owns a game that sounds like project enterapia wants $$? *cough* !!!!
Maybe....

Nice chart. Although Id like to see reload time instead of, Medium, Very slow and so on. And also Treatment is triggered way earlier then specialist paramedic. Im not specialist paramedic and I have 3k in Treatment. Its triggered, most often, when Medicine is between 1500 and 2000.

Well, this is because no one has the right reload... All the charts are using different values

If you know someone who has tested each reload in an accurate way, please tell :)

Thanks for pointing this out, Knoop, updating.

So, when is Master Franck's Unabridged Guide to Project Entropia :wise: coming out? :D

Thanks for another great resource guide, Franck!

well, looks like i am "trained", going to able

did not get min heal just yet(need to do some hunting :dunce: )

Mod fap heal intervals are definitely wrong. I have been healed 110 by a n00b avatar with a modfap, and I have heard from several sources that the intervals are around 80-120 ,-)

You should catch up on some reading about what he means my healing intervals and max heal etc.

Intervals are correct. And the healing "cap" is always twice the max of the healing interval. So 80 is apparently correct since mod fap has a healing cap of 160.

About the 110, either you were lagged and two heals were added. Or your little friend, whoever healed you, has a healing factor of atleast 1.375 (which IS very noobish).

And about your sources... They seem very unreliable. :)

fap intervals doesnt matter anymore after vu 7.4... u can now heal 15.1, 15.2, 15.3... it's totaly random now

by fap 5 u heal from your min to max heal rate which depends on skills

FAP-intervals also got some changed after VU 7.4
Still the basic is intact, but with more intervals.

Maybe I will post more information about it later.

/Kjetil :D

Thanx for this nice Thread

I'm think the list is kind of misleading myself. It is probably correct if your looking at efficiency but to me that only matters when you have time to heal. I guess for a complete guide I would also want to see the list in order of fastest healing potential. For example... The EK-2600 doesn't have that good of efficiency but it is also the 5th fastest healer in the game. For a price well under the comparable FAP-90 (and slightly faster), the 2600 is my fav for emergency situations.

His healing 'factor' is around 1.1 or so. When I said n00b avatar, I didn't say they were a n00b. They were a veteran who was bored or something :). Therefore, I am completely correct. I have heard from everyone who has used one that it 'works differently' to other faps. The formula which calculated the 29-80 does not apply to Mod fap.

7.4 Simply multiplied the number of intervals by a factor of 100 or so.

80 is definitly max interval for Mod FAP, but I haven't tried one yet myself so I don't know how many intervals there are for it.
Only way to show that is to let a completly noob avatar heal with it to show its minimum. I know for sure that a noob avatar heal 1i (1.00xinterval number) as minimum heal. If it start at f.ex 60, it should heal from 60-80 for a complete noob. With a little skills (Most got some skills before they get a mod fap) they heal more then 90hp each time and therefore more then their HP's.

For me it seems that VU 7.4 used some random variables added to the current intervals to not make the formula that easy to discover.
Still intervals are working and it is possible to see your minimal heal. (Lowest interval)

More information will come.

Nope, 80 is the minimum. With most faps it is Max Heal / 2 but ask anyone who has used one and they say it heals full well before any other fap.

80 can't be the minimum. I used Mod FAP a little while, but I heal 160 each time because I heal now near 7.0 as minimum with FAP-5

I will see if I can test later with a n00b avatar to see intervals for Mod FAP.
