I noticed that PE installed something (mini-patch?) yesterday when I logged in. Was I dreaming??? I find it a bit strange that MA publishes undocumented patches, all other software developers I know usually issue a list of changes/fixes with each patch.

Am I the only one that wants to know what was in that, what bugs were fixed, changes made?

If anyone has any information, please post it here.

Cheers :beerchug:

Lots of people are annoyed by their mini patches with no release notes and i have written about it aswell...

I know its been said before, I was just curious if anyone knows what was in this latest one...wishful thinking I guess.

Don't get me wrong, I really love PE, and I enjoy watching it evolve. I would just like to know that MA is actually fixing some of the problems instead of just adding eye candy.

The documented changes in the latest VU are great, but there is no mention of any "real" changes/fixes. Sure my name is displayed and remembered correctly now, and I can exit PE faster, but those thing were not a mojor problem for me.

The re-design of the cities are a good thing, i really like the new look of the service/auction houses.

The amplifiers for miners are also great, but why are they limited? The prices for those is already skyrocketing...

Anyway, I did'nt start this thread to whine, complain or bitch (maybe just a little). I just would like a bit more information.

Cheers :beerchug:

Usually, when there only are technical fixes, they are not associated with a notification.

Note in client loader:

"Mini-patch for solving minor issues with X and Y was applied"....

One line.. Thats all we ask.. Like I said in another thread, NO OTHER software developer releases a patch without a "fix list", seriously. If you know of one besides MA, let me know.

It's not about what was fixed, it about trust and relation with your costumers, US!! What if I for some reason don't agree with the content in the patch, how would I then know if I want to accept the EULA or not ? We are not mind(ark)readers.

And yes, I know what was in a few of the unlisted patches, I work with IT-security damnit, but it's not my job to post what was changed.

Also I suggest the patches should be RSYNCED or acctualy byte patched, instead of rolling out the entire .EXE again, it would save ALOT of bandwidth and server load. Atleast that's how I do it when I roll out updates to my clients at work.

I know and do not expect MA to announce detailed changes to loot distribution, decay, mining patterns, or other "secret" aspects of PE. It would just be nice to know that, as E-lite stated, minor issues with x or y were fixed.

It would give us the feeling that the patches actually fix known bugs, and not leave us with the feeling that the mysterious mini-patches are used to make "other" changes. I'd rather not go into that in detail but you can guess what it might mean.

I like to think that MA is doing its best to make PE a better and more enjoyable place for all of us, and a bit more communication about the important issues would make alot of very happy customers.

And then Marco decides not to answer no more???
