New mob: Globster

So this is what professor bartons bodyparts were for... a new mob! Excellent! Nice work to Deathifier for obtaining all the parts :)

Nice work also Mindbuster for getting it onto PEWiki so fast! +rep

Thanks for the pic! I have to admit I'm a little disappointed as I was expecting a gigantic red lobster. :laugh:
 
Sweet, I'll hunt it in about a year or two. But seriously new mobs are always nice.

With 120-130 damage a hit and all acid damage I think MA might create a new armor with some nice acid protection in the near future. Because at the moment you only have gremlin with 12 acid protection and plates 6C(L) with 13 protection.

MindBuster? Paolo added it and I made it possible by creating the system. I would of course have added it if Paolo haven't been that fast. ;)

yes they do..

we did a sochunt on them and looted Animal Hide, Durulium Stone and GSI so far...

I had a nice pre-planned news item ready to post after some basic details were determined.
Then I read the description from the scan (which does not show in the fertilizer station for some reason) and I need to rewrite it some to fit MA's plotline better :)

The little Globster is quite cute in its own way though, esp. when dead!

Some basic details:
Speed: Very Slow (You can usually outrun it).
Attack Speed: ~2 seconds.
Attack Range: ~20m
Damage Range: 60-130 (young).
Damage Type: 95% acid, possible 5% other types (unknown).
Health: ~2230 (young).


Will post official news item and update TI thread with it a little later once I've processed images and such :)

And yes, as soon as I saw the first global coming out (which BTW was a Team name in the mood of "DK tries Globster SW of TI TP" - nice clear indication of where to head, isn't it?!) I rushed there to see this new cutie...

But indeed isn't a cutie at all! It's an uber-spitting-Hogglo/Neconu/Snablesnot/Prof.Barton cross! :wise:
I wasted almost an hour to get an idea of the damage range, and in the meanwhile I've seen so many ubers die from this freak, that it just yells "revenge!" :handgun:

Well, if they weren't that small, we could also call a run from The Festival of FirePower! :p

BTW, you should say thanks also to AkiranBlade: I met him at the revival just after uploading the data, and he was going to do the same too! ;)

seems that gremlin,goblin and some plates prices going up :) shame i've tt'ed so many goblin parts some days ago.. :hammer:

quick everyone go to the Auctions and buy as much as you can then sell it for 300% more, everyone become a hated reseller :)
It's a joke now but give it about two days and it might be the truth, sigh

nice to see something come of that finger :) would have liked to see a mod I could hunt solo but I guess I can break out the gremlin and track down some of those acid (L) plates GL man :)

i would have saved them all up and seen if there was a offer from the government for the parts to revive the profesor with.

ow well atleast its nice to see the uber have a new mob thtas dificult for them to kill and will kill everyone else in one hit :laugh:

I expect that this mob may start droping barton parts itself. i can see the chaos if one of these could get into atlantis alive. :silly2:

anyways congrats. new mob. i whodner if there are more new mobs to find?
 
Yes, was amazing yesterday (at the UTC evening) hunting this new mob in a large team. Had not so much time but you were not able to hunt it alone.

It's right, it hits all the time with allmost 45-99 DMG at my Jaguar. The problem is the hitting speed. I could make 30% dmg on it and then I allmost did lose the Fap-Fight. :D

Tactics:
Three medium skilled persons like me (150 hp) with medium FAP EK-2600 can form a team: one is sho0ting and two are fapping. This is successfully.

Alternative:
200hp and IMP/MOD Fap :)

Alternative 2:
Run away as fast as you can :dunce:

That is a really amazing mob!

You would prefer not to have a fun new creature around, not to know what those dastardly bots are up to? :)

I don't think the fed's are offering up any rewards or they would have posted something to that effect prior to parts being found.

There are likely to be more mobs out there to be discovered for sure :)

and to think that I just sold most of my goblin armor yesterday :duh:

Good thing I still have mine lol . But I don't think goblin would be good enough for this mob, whats the next best thing armorwise against acid?
