Pet handler vs. tamer

One thing I did not realize that this VU brought out is that there actually are two pet related professions: pet handler and pet tamer.

I wonder if foing forward taming certain mobs is on purpose being made separate from being able to level them up...

I think Animal Tamer is more related to whip skills...

Not really no, pet handler and animal tamer are the professions, have nothing to do with whip skills as far as I can tell.

Makes sense, as it is two separate things: one is the ability to tame the animal the other is to train it up, same as RL.

I just didn't realize there were indeed two separate professions in EU.

i guess...

animal tamer > what size of mobs you can tame, e.g. lvl 1 tamer can only do snable youngs, lvl 100 tamer can do up to daiki stalker

animal handler > the ammount of active pets one can have, e.g. lvl 1 animal handler can only have 1 active pet at a time, lvl 100 animal handler can have up to 10 pets same time (fictive number)

I am not sure your numbers are right, I could do 4 pets at lvl 30 handler and could tame daiki stalkers at like lvl 20 tamer.

But yes the idea is probably that high lvl handlers will be able to handle 10 or more pets at a time (I am very much looking forward to that and high level tamers will be able to tame whatever the highest tamable mob is.
