Over 22K PEDs in Prizes!!
On behalf of Jay Beene Lee and GandalfSzary, I would like to invite all hardcore hunters to join in our Spring Hunting Competition! With five land areas and a wide range of mobs and maturities, hunters and miners of all skill levels have a chance to win.
The competition will begin at 00:01 April 1st and end at 11:59 June 30th (MA Time).
LAND AREAS:
OLA #04: Atrax Park
OLA #05: Beene's Longu Land
OLA #21: Formicacida Nest
OLA #26: Allophyl Pasture
OLA #34: Atrox Tundra
PRIZES:
1st Place: 10000 PEDs + 60% of Bonus Pool
2nd Place: 5000 PEDs + 25% of Bonus Pool
3rd Place: 2000 PEDs + 15% of Bonus Pool
4th Place: 500 PEDs
BONUS POOL:
For each global posted, 5 PEDs will be added to a bonus prize pool, which will be distributed as detailed above.
MONTHLY BONUS PRIZES:
In addition, there are prizes for the avatars with the most globals each month of the competition:
Most April Globals: 1st: 1000 PEDs 2nd 400 PEDs, 3rd 100 PEDs
Most May Globals: 1st: 1000 PEDs 2nd 400 PEDs, 3rd 100 PEDs
Most June Globals: 1st: 1000 PEDs 2nd 400 PEDs, 3rd 100 PEDs
RULES:
You must receive a global on one of the Land Areas listed above to receive an entry, each global counts as one entry.
A screenshot of the global must be taken which includes all of the following:
The global message in the chat window.
MA Time and Map Coordinates (press c then p before taking screenshot).
This screenshot must then be posted in this thread within 24 hours.
Mining globals follow the same rules as hunting, but should be taken in third person view, with the claim marker visible.
Teams: Teams are able to participate as well, however only the team member who posts the global receives an entry. All other rules apply, as above. Any prizes won by a team will be awarded to the person who posted the winning entry; it is up to the teams to determine how any prizes won will be divided. To make the administration of the competition easier, we ask that teams who plan on making alot of entries have the same person post all the globals. Teams are not eligible for the monthly bonus prizes, to keep things fair.
For the Bonus Monthly Prizes, MA time will be used to determine which month the global counts toward.
PRIZE DRAWING PROCEDURE:
Prizes will be drawn on Friday, July 6th, 2007 and awarded as soon as winners can be contacted.
Each global posted in this thread will be assigned a number. The first global will assigned the number 0, the next 1, and so on.
Using the modulo function a winner for each prize will be selected based on the Euromillions drawing on July 6th, 2007. The digits from the drawing, in the order they appear on the www.euromillions.be site, will be combined to form a random number. Then the total number of entries modulo will be used to determine the winning global entry.
Example: 1267 Globals, winning Euromillions numbers for July 6th: 3 11 25 32 48 5 9
31125324859 Modulo 1267 = 139
In this case, global entry 139 would be the winner.
Prizes will be drawn in descending order (1st place, then 2nd place, then 3rd, then 4th).
The other entries from the winner of the 1st place prize will then be removed from the master list, and the remaining entries will be renumbered accordingly, and a new modulo taken for 2nd prize. The same process will then be used to determine the 3rd and 4th place prizes.
Once an avatar wins a prize, that avatar is ineligible for additional prizes. (Note: The monthly bonus prizes are excluded from this rule.)
Monthly Bonus Prize Rules: The monthly prizes will be determined on the 3rd day of the following month (e.g. May 3rd, June 3rd, July 3rd) to allow time for all globals to be posted and counted. Winners will be announced in this thread and contacted via private message on EntropiaForum to collect prizes.
Stay tuned to this thread for further announcements. We may decide to "juice up the pool" a bit with spontaneous additional prizes!
Best of luck to all contestants!
