Oh no did that thread just get killed? That was great chatting about that 515k ath. Massive gratz to the looter.

I was in happy deep thought, how the system could pop that. Say the player was conditioned (system set) to skill gain on little kerbs, then out of character and out of the blue they run a few high end clicks on shrapnel.

Then all the stars align, due to fast ped input and system skill gain parameters, based on that players normalised behaviour.... so it maxes out an insane multiple. Love it.

Hunt merps for 2 days, then run some shrapnel. See what happens... haha.

Slot machine goes brrr, grats to the lucky guy/gal though very glad I wasn't in-game to see it though!

Would be interesting to know if it was the same as the last super shrap ATH on EP2 recycle - definitely salty though as I've been seeing 2-3% success rates on Condition for the last few thousand clicks when I decide to dip my toe in the gambling loot pool.

iit was payday.... 12 mining hof alongside... maybe some privilege flag was not properly resetted :)

why all think about withdrawal? maybe the gamer will just remain and keep enjoining the game.
it is not all about greed.....
and as killahnee says it he is a L13 miner he will probably keep enjoining game.
and buy amps and gears.
it is just a sign that game is healthy and offer still some payoff (with very high risk)
 
The thing that makes me most happy is that the name of the person who got it is a name i've never seen or heard of before. Gz to them

take the 500k and run for the fucking border is all i can say :D

Not to judge to much but looking at name they maybe already crossed border....
 
Omg, I just understood the point of this forum post. It's because people don't understand what the k means in 515k

So basically it was 515,000 ped hit. k is used to represent thousands sometimes when people are being lazy.

Oh wow didn't even notice that 515k drop, pretty wild. Gz to them!

People can theorize about it all they want but I think for most that are running an insane loss in the game (many people) the need to discuss the why and how is all just sour grapes.

We all want to assume we're "due" for a big hit and when we see someone hit something that big the self soothing justifications start churning. "they must cycle a lot", "there's probably some reason how they hit that"...etc.

But then when seeing it's a newer player some people get bend out of shape thinking "that's not fair" because it flys in the face of their "everyone gets 98% returned and one day I'm going to get that big hit that puts me even or in profit" theory that sheilds them from the reality that their money is gone and never coming back.

How did they manage to hit that big loot? Easy, they tried and got lucky. In the end MA enabling a drop that big and being lucky enough to hit it are all that matter. All your skill, gear, strategy and cycle mean nothing when they're up against luck.

MA putting these big loots out is not uncommon, it's good for marketing, flashing the carrot to players, and making sure the system can still be described as "dynamic"
 
I just decided to make a numeric test (quick and dirty)
i did 100 click of a bp on condition, tocheck full sucecss for a QR100 (it is 42ish on full quantity)
it happened to be 3%
so basically full condition is like (3%/42%) = 14x FATTER than quantity
this means real capital at risk fot the full condition recycle is 100 x 14 = 1.400 ped per instance
in these terms a 515k return is ONLY a 367x multipolier... totally statistically acceptable.

the real question is.... am i ready to "bet" 140 eur per event?
(i know my answer and i set slider to full quantity)

totally agree with Msturlese, i dont think of withdrawal and find it satisfying and happy to see my ped card growing bigger each week, sense of achievement. I enjoy this game to the MAX~ :)
