What about zoom level?

OK, here's a technical question for my fellow fruit and stone hunters:

Does your "zoom" level make any significant difference when finding stones?

If you are walking, and your view is far out, so your avie looks small, can you still see stones and fruit when you are near them?

If you are "up close and personal," where your avie is huge in your field of view, can you miss seeing stones and fruit?

What's the optional way to manage your field of view for stone finding?

Does it help to stop every few steps?

Here's another fruit and stone finding technical question.

Does stopping every ten steps or so improve your success rate over simply walking continuously?

Or, is there an optimal pattern for walking and stopping to improve your success rate?

The stones appear in a 5 meters radius and disappear when you are farther than this from the pile, so you don't need to have the camera all zoomed out. You will see them anyway but since the stones are so small is better not to have the camera so far behind.

It is random, no pattern or thecnique. You can even find them by running, as some people found out, but if you run there is a bigger chance that you miss them because they disapear when you leave the 5 meters radius.
 
100 Trutun - it seems that the buyout price of this nice litle stone is nearly 1 PED per stone. For now the highest bid for my AH is 10 ped, but there is enough time.
Im wondering, does anyone remember what was the price of the fruits when the Taming was active ability ?
Couse now i have few thousands of fruits and i don't thnik that i can get even 10 PED for them.

Does anyone see where these are being dropped more in other places?..:)
 
For sure i can say that im finding more often fruits'n'stones on Amethera.
Some ppl are saying that the biggest loots of stones can be found on CND ( 500+ stones ) but i haven't tested this :)

I remember several years ago if you combined the fruit with sweetstuff to make nutrio bars you could make 200% or more over the price of the sweetstuff tt. Unless there is a new use for the fruit, it won't be anywhere near that if/when it has a use again.
 
Actually, i have checked last week, the MU of the Nutrio Bars is still 204%.
Who is actually buying that at the moment is different question :D
Anyway, ill be happy even if i can sell my fruits for, let's say, 10 PED per 1000 :)

Hmm... maybe in the end, the theory that you can see the fruits/stones when you are driving will be proved.

Hi all,

that's my first post in this forum and I want to ask why can't I find any stones? I am searching for it 3 whole days in Treasure Island and found 700 of dung and 30 fruite but no stones. Maybe there are no more stones for new players?
 
Hmmm. same here , no stones no fruits no nothing since last update last week ,

Bugg or feature ?
 
Just the same here, I am not finding any natural resources....
 
its a new feature,just a lot of dung,TY MA for nerfing it
 
So they really get out the stones and fruits ????
 
fruits is still in the game,you find like 100 fruit in 8 hours lol,and btw MA nerfed it because some people need to brag here on the forum about there finds so big ty to them
 
unless its part of the patch notes, its a bug. but i havent looked, remember sometimes you can look for hours straight without finding anything, so i wouldnt take the advice of two or three people. watch the thread over a long term before deciding
 
What they changed in the pre-medusa VU is the ability to find fruit/stones/etc while driving, something that was obviously a bug since you're only supposed to find them while walking to discourage people from doing it.

So, many many thanks to all that found it prudent to post over and over about that particular 'bug' making MA change it back. Happy walking!

Stones/fruit etc can only be found by walking (again), never by running, unless you're lagging way too badly and your movement 'jerks'.
 
Something is not right at the moment. I always did and do the old fashion way - walking. So yesterday I decided to do some walking. Till now I have 10 finds of common dung in a row, and not a single find of natural stone or a fruit and all this in various places. I remember bad times with no finds at all but never something like this before!
 
2k dung and 150 paplon in the last days, btw papplon is the only fruit I can find now. No stones, this sucks.
 
Lets hope that things will go back to normal with tomorow's update. After all, it was the last VU that messed the stones up...
 
have done about 2 hours plus with only dung finds past several days
