I think if any celebrities did play it would be hard to actually let people know who they were that they did not personally trust. No matter who you are, there is probably someone out there that would get rather annoying if they knew the truth.
Not to go off subject a little, but I work somewhere that high profile american and sometimes foreign celebs are regulars. There are some I stand on the side of and do not even realize. Others when I see, even I admit I get a little "star struck" and would enjoy a conversastion... but don't unless they approach due to "professionalism".
And a little further off subject, I know of one famous babeball player who promoted EQ and is now doing is own game--

I wouldn't consider myself a "celebrity" however..... if the community knew who I am IRL they'd be quite surprised. My SOC knows who I am and they've been quite good at keeping the secret. Entropia is my "Escape from reality" and I will keep it that way as long as I can. In Entropia I can be whoever I want and it doesn't affect my real life.

Menace said as much as he wanted to. Like he said he values the fact that no one knows who he is in real life. So why not grant him that wish? Seems like a simple enough request.
Think of the player community as a bigger form of a society, Now if his society can keep a secret. Why can't we honour his request for privacy?

Sadly, in the age of Hello magazine and all the other pages that need filling, being infamous does make you a celebrity. In the UK just look at the plasticly enhanced monstrosity that is Katie Price / "Jordan" as evidence of this.
I'm sure other countries have their own examples.
