Considering all the changes in the companies structure, the situation with the current stock market and the fact that inca's predicted the end of the world by 25 december 2011 I have one question: when will the beacons come, and will it be before we all die?

Mentoring? who's talking about mentorscamming? For every new player that stayed a bit longer because they had a good mentor, I can show you 3 new players and 3 alternate accounts that took advantage and abused the mentoring system to the detriment of everyone.

I was not trying to complain by any means, I simply wanted to state some facts. I deposit and don't beg around :) think you took some of my words and trusted them to mean other things though..
 
I wonder if it's only my computer....

After update [9.x MB] EU Client did not refresh/reloaded like after normal update. Tried to start it but even not getting Terms window, just not starting. Restarted computer - same situation ;/

Is it working for you?
 
So if Genesis is going to be the new start area, who are the other avatars they will be chatting to, are the special avatars that were at Gateway going to be able to transfer to Genesis or will it just be other new players who don't know how to do stuff?

Will Genesis become the new hub we all travel to when transfering planets? Otherwise its a 300Mb download that will never be used again (much like Gateway).

When we get to ruin our avatars will we be doing this at Genesis if this is where the personalisation takes place?

Nice to get the planet filter on the auction.

Think its just like the gateway from what I'm understanding..

I told them I wanted a customizable avatar, unlike the current process. In fact I just told them to copy Fallout 3/Oblivion's ava creator. Ifthey even allow us to have a new skin, that would be mildly better, instead of the same for everyone ± shade

Great update but we are all getting tired of playing a pre-beta game.
Please bring back the old systems before the majority of the existing player base leave!
 
Dont suppose anyone can tell us which files we can delete from planets we dont want? I dont want to do a full reinstall, nor do i want to keep next island or rocktopia.

Im guessing we can delete(where *=planet to remove):

.\public_users_data\dynamic_content\territories_*

Can anyone from MA\FPC\SDS\whatever confirm that?
 
Just to make it clear, none of the quests on Genesis gives any sort of gain or reward of any kind.
 
is this VU the reason for extremely bad loot lately? Because I doubt it after I saw much little content. yesterday I had %30 return in mining. WILL THIS EVER IMPROVE??? :confused: :mad:

The Calypso Community Advisers have been told that we will have no access to Genesis.

As far as we know, the new players will only be talking to other new account holders.

I don't see much progress to Calypso.

I guess the casino system is still the same and the loot as well.

Oh well, maybe one day things will improve here in Entropia.
 
I think its good update as it reduce many downside of EU for new player.

Just 1 question , where i can set how i want the dynamic content to work ?

You probably already have a full install, so... Go to C:\Users\Public\entropia universe\public_users_data\dynamic_content\ and delete all files that in their filename have the name of the planet(s) you do no longer wish to have installed.

After this, re-launch the client loader. Some required content will now be downloaded - this is normal and is shared files from other planets (i e items and textures that may travel between planets). After you have entered the game it will attempt to re-download the other planets. Use the pause button to stop the download, then enter the map UI and uncheck the boxes for the planets you have removed and don't want to receive updates from.
It will now no longer try to download these planets, and you can keep on playing as normal.

The arrow I photoshopped in points to the aforementioned checkbox. Select the planets from the drop down menu and uncheck the boxes as mentioned.

How i told in a other thread, no of the old systems we get back!

FPC, MA, if you like that we play longer, plz focus this ! My depo is freez, as long we dont get the old things back. :(

I have not seen it (or I have overlooked), but are newbies starting at Genesis transported to Calypso Gateway? Or is Calypso Gateway no more?

The Gateway will still be there :)

Gateway is still there, it is a part of Calypso.
Genesis is a platform product, and offer only movement tutorials, CharDef and such. No tutorials or quests on professions, and no rewards or gains.
