Entropia Universe Cash Card Information

New orders of the Entropia Universe Cash Card have been temporarily suspended.

Existing Cash Card holders, plus existing orders, will receive a refund of 250 PED in conjunction with Version Update 8.12. The next generation Cash Card will then be available from Trade Terminals once again.

Complete information regarding the improved functions and fees will be published in the Withdrawals section of the Entropia Universe website together with the release of Version Update 8.12.

MindArk expect deliveries of the Cash Card to begin in late august.

Sounds like ID proof for the provider to me, but it should really say that if it is shouldn't it?

Maybe...the improved cash card functions are something like a Visa or MC debit function which is doable and handy as hell?

Yep. That is what "due diligence" means, though they could have chosen a more easily understood term instead.

Right again. :D
They confirmed in an earlier news item that the cards will be under Mastercard branding and can be used for purchases in addition to withdrawals at ATMs.
 
I think its good news!!! had kind of given up all hope on these cards.。。。

I suppose DD wasn't a bad phrase, it's used online a lot when investigating something or someone who you are thinking of investing money or time in....checking they exist, are what they say they are etc. , it's just uncommon in this sphere :) .

There is a system (I originally thought the gold card was such a thing) , that allows you to have a smartcard (ATM and debit) and reader that you top up via the USB device directly ...I suppose that's too much to ask :)

Not that any of this matters to a EU churchmouse like me :rolleyes: .

How cool would it be if the bank would take no charge for running your account and with no CC fees ...

My bank does this with my Visa CC (no fees at all) i think they could geat themselves quite a lot (all?) EU players to put their PED into their Bank hahaha


Imagine your PED card being linked to the RL Bank account (like a virtual copy of your RL Visa to be used inside the EU) and also your RL visa linked to the bank account as well which u can use in your local grocery store...

OMG how cool would that be...

U could have 2 cards ingame ...
PED CARD (old system) and BANK CARD (new system) being able to use either one to put ped in and out ... only that the new card would move the money directly to the bank account wich would offer a % intrest rate and allow u to use the money also with your RL CreditCard

I hate to say this but, this may be really bad news for US players.

MA is already on shaking ground because much of what players do could be considered gambling. Meaing US players may end up getting the boot when the Internet Gambling Bill is inacted in July.

Now, MA may be in a gray area seeing as it isn't really a casino or a poker room.

Still, some US citizens are already having issue depositing with their credit cards because some issuers are playing it safe and just denying US players the ablility to deposit via a credit card.

If US players are banned from depositing or withdrawing via a credit card and MA is still permitted to accept US players other means will need to be presented at that time for them.
 
There are planty other ways to deposit other than CC ...

say for example Wire Transfer :p im sure they wont dissalow US citizens to transfer money do a sweedish account no ?

and if the government decides u cant play PE and bans that IP or smth (which i doubt) why not tunnel ur traffic out of the country via VPN hmm ? fight the power :p

Some people might tunnel their way out, but I'm pretty sure there would be no more US folks joining Entropia. ;)

Can we get an update on the status of the cash card...fees? are we still going to get it in August etc..?
 
I'd also like to know when we can expect the new information, it should have been placed on the web page at the launch of VU 8.12.
 
I was away for some time and can't find info on this, but what is up with cash cards? I see them being sold at the TT terminal, but I can;t find any policy info on EU's official site about the card? So is it out, or still not?
 
That's all I found also, kind of retarded to sell cards with no explanation of how they work and all the fees.
 
lol I had no idea until just now they started selling em again, and now I see that I cant find a single thing besides a statement saying they are now available.

I too am curious as to what the new agreements are, how the anything changed, and how it affected the fees.

even went ingame to see if details were on the card itself, and find the "you must read and accept the agreement on the website before purchasing" kinda funny.

The agreement doesnt exist, but yet you can purchase it. :)

So when can we expect those full details about atm cards? Cards are being sold from tt and yet not a single drop of information...
 
I got this reply from MA last week,

As announced on the website, we hope to have the Entropia Universe Cash Card system up and running again starting from late August. We will start shipping the ordered cards with extended features as soon as possible, but we cannot yet give you an exact date. We will keep you updated with information about this via the news section on the website.
 
At least we are getting closer, this will be nice once again- a good selling point to bring in fresh orange :)
