neither did I but I did burn alot of ants with a magnifying glass fun outdoors kid game
no kids ... 26 here
Me neither... but working hard on changing that
Not to turn this Into a Should-kids-play-MMORPGs thread, but I agree. MMORPG Is the alternative for those who can't be arsed to leave the house after work to socialise
Kids however, should be outside
I agree , EU is no place for a child.

Not only is it a blatant violation of EULA to have children under 13 playing PE, but it is disrespectful IMO to the adult players who play this game knowing that people need to be 13+ (or hopefully 18+) to play.
I am not a "kid" person .. I don't have them, don't want them, and I prefer to not be around them. I'm sure there are great learning opportunities for children in games like PE, but surely there is an option more suited to their age.
To me, it seems sort of like taking your 10 year old to a night club where only 18-21+ are usually allowed -- they are bound to see something, hear something, or experience something that just is not meant for them at that age, and it is nobody's fault but your own for providing the exposure. There is a reason the rules are in place.
I've had interactions with some players who were clearly in the pre-teen age-bracket (at least mentally) .. not only is it annoying as hell, but it is obvious that they are not getting enough supervision in an adult environment. Even kids who I know are being watched closely by their PE-playing-parent, I've experienced a number of ackward situations from these kids. Examples: 12 year old boy who constantly ran up and stood as close as possible staring at my pixel-chest (LOL - I actually put on more layers of clothing it was ackward), 13 year old boy with potty-mouth worse than mine yelling at me because I wouldn't give him something free and it wasn't fair, and various kids being scammed/taken advantage of in unfair trade deals because they were too trusting and don't truly understand business and economics (let alone math).
Plus, all these accounts for children are how we get into those well-known conspiracy theories about certain players brothers, sons, cousins, uncles, dogs, and cats who conveniently follow them around to fap all day.
Bottom line, obey the EULA ... and keep your kids away from adult-only environments.
I'm sure there are influences that would be less than desireable for my daughter to be exposed to and that is precisely why I control very closely what and who she is allowed to interact with. As soon as I see her venturing into unauthorized areas, she is shut down and she is done. She respects the rules I have put on her and is far more "mature" in her actions and accountability in the EU than a lot of the "adults" that participate.
At least in my opinion.
I'm sorry, Fliss, while I certainly agree with you in theory and such, a game that is intended for 13 years and older is still from an "adult only environment". 13 years olds, at their extremely hormonal states, are more inclined to act like 3 year-olds than most 5 or 6 year-olds would even know how to be.

Someone once said to her 'go away noob' and she was upset.. do not ask me how I kept my temper
Do you really think we can hide playing from our kids?
Here we have strict rules, they are not allowed to play EU.
But they solved it in their own way.
They are great miners...
...fantastic fappers...
...and have a lot of handgun skills!
And I am sure: If you would know how much they loot, you all would try to join the team
