Y if you are ok with no range then Life steal that you get from mayhem amp is like imp resto or even better. I used mace mk4 and could hunt eo and big lt without healing.
I just lack the melee skills for a weapon of that type

but it's not a modmerc so I'm kinda offtopic suggesting it. It's just a good option amongst 2.0 weapons and the one that's under valued atm. If you want a fen13 MF chip with sameish stas you would have to pay 40k more
