Paint Drop Information

Status
Small Sabakumas drop orange regularly, yellow occasionally.
 
add burnt umber to phasm as a rare drop
 
Deep Cadmium and Violet Cream drop very often from Tantardions.
 
300 PED run on Warrior = 850 cans ORANGE. Its insane, very often there was nothing else than orange paint in loot.

much like necu, its sad to see a bunch of paint and a few pecs of oils in loots lol

I have 100ped TT in orange alone after a few days camping them
 
If I want to have Orange I go out to hunt Snarksnots.

Old - Provi - Guradian if they have loot, they give 60-100 cans regulary.
 
I looted green from Thorio Outcast the other day. Seemed like a pretty common drop.
 
got 25 cans of crimson from an aurli chaser last nite (never seen it drop before:))
 
Just a quick update on drop rarity for different paints from low maturity drones (gen 01-04):
Common - Brown
Occasional - Blue, Steel Blue (droprate for both about 1 or 2 drops every 500 PED spent)
Rare - Light Green (one drop out of ~5k PED spent), Pink (3 or 4 drops)

I've noticed some changes, I hope paint drops won't change with every vu or this list will not be useful :(

Hate to confirm your fears but paint drops do appear to have become reduced.

VU 9.1 changes, addition of texturing system, drop changes

Hello Sarah,

With the changes brought in with VU 9.1 and the new texturing system added I am finding some of the previously posted information in this thread has changed somewhat.

After almost a 2k PED TT burn on ambulimax young -> mature -> old,
I have had hardly a paint can drop, Olds which I have killed plenty of now, not a sigle cadnium can has dropped.

Thoughts ? Opinions ? Suggestions ?

I know it is still early days and drop rates of various things may change over the next month or so as the new system's requirements become more 'market abundant' to use a loose term and saturation occurs;

Though how would you like to proceed with the information alteration contained here within ?

Shall we give it a month and see what happens, or should we start sending in info now ?

PS. I would suggest giving it till the end of Jan 08 and then do any required updates at that point.

Ambulimax paint drop update post 9.1

Changes to Ambulimax,

From what I can see now having gone through 3 adapted bashers on them over the last two days ...

Ambulimax - Young & Mature
Light Green - Uncommon

Ambulimax - Old
Blue - Uncommon

Have not seen in the list:

During the most ~400pedder runs I looted BURGUNDY
2 times in amounts of 4-6 cans from Cornoanterion
 
looted red paint from a Aurli Queen
and
darkslate gray from a daspletor young

Sorry if this was already mentioned.... I did not read all the posts....

I get tons of BROWN from Mermoth. All maturities seem to keep it tucked under a flipper or something... ;)
 
I have looted purple paint from Cornundacauda on several occasions. I would call it a moderate drop...not entirely rare, but not as common as brown off of argos :)
 
Steel Blue drops from Exarosaur, I got it from a exarosaur mature.

corroborated, 7 cans of purple from cauda mature.
purple also can be looted from merp, although it seems this miners' curse rarely carries it.

steel blue is quite common in exas these days, green still occurs but not as often as it used to. perhaps EU is dynamic. :)

sorry if this has already been mentioned, but green is quite common in daikibas nowadays.
