As the owner of one of the most overlooked weapons in-game, the A&P Series Mayhem LP-120, I figured I would start to track my returns with it to see how it performs over long periods and share it with the public. Most people with hunting logs here are tracking using high-efficiency weapons, so maybe this will help shape the perspective on this gun (good or bad) if actual data can be used to track the performance. What it lacks in Efficiency it does make up for in DPS and DPP, but whether that offsets the lower TT return, we will have to see with real data. Truthfully I have not tracked my returns throughout 2023, but I will be using the Entropia Hunter loot tracker, which has much more granular data than other tools I've tested.

My primary focus in hunting selection will be on continuing to hunt mobs that have markup potential, give significant codex rewards, or have other intrinsic value. I am not focused on skilling as quickly as possible or chasing hofs. Generally, I will try to hunt without using enhancers to minimize markup lost unless I need to push DPS as high as possible (Mayhem, RDI, Spina Cave, etc).

Will be interesting to see something with lower Eff, but high dps. Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Sub'd

have you thought about 2X Bullseye 8 and a Longreach 4? They are both eff 82, should add a point or 2 more eff overall.

Day 1:

Started on mid-size Korwils, one of my favorite mobs on which I am working on rank 24 in the codex. Looted about 10 Cryo chips including 2x Cryo 10s which sell for about 140%. Then moved to Caly to drop loot and list on AH before moving to NI to hit some Daudomaurs and Gorgon waves. I did not push dmg enhancers hardly at all except for killing a few enslaved daudomaurs at the Shade Wave. A few timely globals at the end of the day saved my NI time and kept loot around 93% overall.

No significant loots, no hofs, and the overall day was meh. Off to a very entropia start.

Overall Return: -322.58
Return %: 95.0

by the way if anyone has a good way to format excel copy/paste so it doesnt take up the whole column, dm me!

Had 2 busy workdays this week so wasn't able to hunt much until today. I am also including a really shitty Hussk from 2 days ago (thanks Hijacker) that was 2.9K. So keep that in context that my overall return was significantly skewed by that terrible loot (around -250 ped on just that kill alone). TT return was no bueno, and MU did not outpace enhancer and armor decay, bringing overall return below TT return.

Thanks for sharing your data with us! ☺️ It'd be very helpful if you wrote your looter lvls as well.

It lowers DPP and only improves Eff by a negligible amount. like... 0.1%
I suggest you to try accu enhancers in cases when you don't need more DPS. Accu enhancers lasts a lot more before breaking and are cheaper to use because of lower TT comparing to DMG enhancers. It's always nice to have better DPP.

He is already running near 4DPP and accu enhancer waste of money. Giving no benefit 😅

I'm open to trying it for a run or 2, but I would rather use accustim pills than enhancers to raise my dpp as I think they will be cheaper over an hour time frame. maybe i can try both and get super dpp though.

Lol. What benefit do you gain after paying the MU ?

just think about it for a minute.

Who told you to use acc enhancers? Please never speak to them again.
You can easily see difference if you use any software to track statistics. I use accu almost all the time and I'm happy with this decision. Overall it was just a suggestion, everyone have own option about everything 🙂

Day 3:

Mostly focused on Korwils today. Started very hot with a 1,077 HoF on Korwil Guardian, and had another nice one with 436 on a Korwil Mature. Expected the TT to drop off afterward but it stayed fairly consistent and I ended up with about 118% return total on the day and my first positive hunting day in awhile. Looted a ton of cryo chips and PBP-57/PLP-57s. Other than that, standard Korwil loot. Also killed a few GMC gamma 03s and Smuggler Rangers. Kept the enhancers off most of the day, except for when I pushed the last 2% of Korwil codex rank 24 which netted me +63 TT of Perception (overall looter contribution).

TT Return: 120.1%
Total Return: +1,239.27
Total Return: 118.7%

As a side note, I picked up some extra MU not counted here, from 3 kills in Ark PVP where I relieved a miner of over 100 peds of lyst. :sniper:

Are you calculating based on the averages from Right Click > Market Value, when you sell, etc?
Generally speaking yes, but I take some level of conservatism too, since I don't feel like tracking things when they actually sell. for example, if I loot an item with 150% MU, I will only adjust the actual MU to 130% assuming auction fees will eat into earnings. This is not a specific example, but a determination of my methodology.
The loot tracking software I'm using allows me to set markups on every single item I loot and it carries it forward, so for Tier 4 comps, I have it captured at 700% MU, while the actual markup can fluctuate between 750-850 or more depending on the day. I'm being very conservative though on my approach for this, and I'm also assigning all generic loot such as leather and unsaleable oils at 100.5% for nanocube conversion.

Day 4:

Started off on Muluk-Hir and finished the rank 25 codex finally. I took the zoology reward as my skill was only at 3300 which contributed about 0.15% to my looter level. I also killed some falx, plongu for Bloodclaw (massive losses), and finally came to NI and finished off with centaurs going for an augmented sinew. Lucky for me, I got nothing from ~500 centaur kills last night and while I was out skiing today the augmented sinew dropped to someone else. So, no markup for me. Most of my markup came from tier comps, outputs, and heart oil. Falx really are a great mob and I am only on Codex rank 10 so I will probably come back to them once I beat my head into the wall on NI long enough trying to get mod/aug/perf sinews.

This is what I do!

Day 5:

This is really 2 days' worth of hunting because I just don't have much time during the week to play between work and family time. So I jumped around a bit today starting on NI and going after some more sinew mobs without any luck. Decided to scoot back to Monria to keep working on my crossover mission. I helped Avalon kill the OTIS commander which ended up costing about -250 in losses because we got wiped twice (dumb...). Worked on my Thawr codex and completed rank 23 (taking perception 33TT) and OTIS codex completing ranks 9/10 and looting several of the flash drives and RAM I need for the crossover mission. More to go on it though. OTIS commanders treated me very well and I was in the +TT return for quite a bit of my hunt, but then decided to go check out the pyramid, which proceeded to wipe out my returns and ended up going from +350 TT to -308 TT. But it was fun, and I'll try it again sometime. Still running a pretty decent TT return which I don't expect to last, but we shall see.

Too bad with all the loss there, I'm having the same troubles ;) Been playing for like 3 years without depositing, just few days ago had to deposit.

i am okay with the TT return so far. what is interesting is my armor decay is starting to pile up faster than my markup. so my TT return is higher than my overall return. I may have to switch up style or downsize to wearing adjusted pixie :D

Maybe shoot smaller mobs or no armor and just rest chip?
