The Great N00b Sweating Event is finally over and the prizes were handed out to the top 3 finishers today at 00.00 MA time in front of the SFE shop in PA Mall.

The website is down atm as Vantastic is shifting it to a new sql server that will enable us to do all sorts of wonderful things. :wtg:

Great news! Our website has now been successfully moved to a newer, faster server.

Also we've started a small forum for any discussion about armour.

Feel free to register and start a few threads. It's in its absolute infancy still and will require some tweaking ofc :) We value your input so don't be shy! :p

The Price list has been updated with the prices for February.

The website also has the updated prices and a much nicer format for reading as well as additional information and some wicked new pictures!!!

Take a visit and have a look!!!

We also have a cool now sign inside the shop. Van took some time making it (and it cost a fortune to put up!!!) so drop in and have a look. Feel free to drop us a line and let us know what you think!

Demotivational Posters!

TimUnleashed and I, got involved in the first round of the EF Event "EU (de?)Motivational Posters" by J. Mandrake.

It was heaps of fun creating posters and reading ones other people had done. Its now a weekly event so head over to the thread and chuck in an entry yourself or just have a :rofl: when you read the ones that have already been made. :lolup:

Also, there is a .rar archive of them upto Feb 14th available from our main website under the Fun Stuff section

Aehm... I visited your shop today and would also love to buy (order) some stuff from you through I think that generally it is a pretty good service you're offering and that it could become stabile on EU's market... but... don't you think that your prices are (a bit) insane... I mean... TT + 17 for a Bodyguard Harness for example is just... extreme high... I mean, I would also pay a bit more for an item when I can't get in at auction (well, Bodyguard bad example now, doesn't matter), but not that much...

Call me if you lower your prices to a costumer-friendly amount, then I may give you my order ;)

Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate that. I'm glad you think we're providing a good service and that you can see the stability we hope to contribute to achieving. + rep for letting us know - thanks heaps.

You'll be pleased to know that our price for a Bodyguard Harness is actually a dramatic discount from the TT + 17 you say in your post.

I was alarmed when I read that so I checked the catalogue at our website (here's the page: SFE - Southern Fortress Engineering) and our price is in fact TT + 3. So a fully repaired one would set you back a total of 12 ped.

Does that seem more reasonable? I had a look in the shop and the prices there are correct at TT + 3 too, so perhaps you meant a different armour?

We're honestly open to this feedback and really appreciate it, so if you can let us know where you saw what you think is an unreasonable price, we'll have a look and either correct our mistake or explain why it is what it is.

SFE - Price List Update

The Price list has been updated with the prices for March.

A number of prices have changed due to the production cost of the relative armour parts. This is a direct result of the fluctuation of the market.

The website also has the updated prices and a much nicer format for reading as well as additional information, some wicked new layouts and pictures!!!

We have new signs inside and outside the shop. The main sign outside has now got our website and forum addresses. Register now and join a discussion!!

Van has put some real time and effort into doing the signs and the graphical and functional updates to the website. A lot of work has been put in so your feedback would be appreciated.

More Footguards Available

You may also notice that a few more of our sets, now have footguard prices available.

This is due to us acquiring more BP's and crafting them and thus being able to work out an appropriate price for them in relation to the rest of the set and the cost of production.

So come in today or visit the website and see if we have the foots available.

SFE - Shop Update

Due to popular demand, we have decided to begin actively stocking SEMA (L) armour in our PA Mall shop from Monday 7th March.

It will replace, for the time being, the PIONEER (L) and GUARDIAN armours.

You may also have noticed, that we have done a little remodelling. RASCAL (L) is still available from the shopkeeper, but has been moved inside the shop to make room for the new SEMA (L) shopkeeper outside.

Don’t despair, if you can’t see what you want.
Remember, as usual, all of our catalogued armours are available for direct order from the website.

Please Note: All of our limited (L) armour prices are now rounded to 2 decimal places. This has resulted in a slight drop in advertised price for a number of our armours. There has also been a significant drop on some of our more popular armours as well.

In the last month, our Catalogue Order System got an extensive workout thanks to some significant orders, the result of which was an extensive rework of the way we handle our orders. Whilst this does not outwardly alter our COS, it does significantly streamline our internal procedures and thus result in overall faster and more accurate service for our customers.

In conjunction with our SEMA (L) armour, we are now actively stocking SERUM (L) armour in the shopkeeper outside our shop in PA Mall.

It's proved to be quite popular already so run in now to grab some for yourself!

SFE - Event Sponsorship

Hi everyone.

A few months back, we sponsored a n00b sweating event held by Barbie Singer Girl (aka me54321).

Since then, we have had a few PM enquiries regarding sponsorship for similar n00b events as well as someone recently bringing another n00b sweat event to our attention asking if we were sponsoring it again...

Unfortunately, the answer was NO, but this got us thinking none-the-less.

In an effort to help out those wanting to host events, we have created the opportunity for people to "Apply" for sponsorship for their event from SFE.
Sponsorship can take the form of armours for the event itself, prizes or possibly even a PED advance to assist in setting the event up.

So if you have an event that you would like SFE to assist you in, then please drop into our website and send us your ideas.

(Please note that you may need to register with our forum in order to post an application)

GO3 Electronic and Entertainment Expo 2008!

August 1st, 2nd and 3rd sees the GO3 Expo being held at the Convention Centre in Perth, Western Australia.

MindArk will be hosting an "Entropia Universe" booth and are bringing a few of our Australian EU participants over to act as Ambassadors.

Whilst SFE aren't EU Ambassadors for this Expo, we have lent our assistance to the MA team with local logistics, as most of us live in Perth.

All 4 of the SFE team will be attending over the 2nd and 3rd days of the Expo (we're flying in Hawkwing from Adelaide!).

So, if you live in WA or are able to make the trip to Perth over that weekend, we heartily encourage you all to attend and meet the faces behind some of our well known Aussie EU avatars AND to meet John Bates from MA.

SFE @ the Perth Go3 Expo!

The Perth Go3 Expo is over for another year :cry:

BUT, what a blast it was!:woot:

The guys from SFE, were privileged to lend a hand, alongside the official ambassadors, with the EU stand. Great fun was had by all and we got to not only put some real faces to names, but also to establish some good friendships with some wonderful people in the process.

A very special thanks goes out to: John and Carmen, Ozi and Missa, Xaph, Bagman, Deathifier and Nightwolf.

Ambassadors: It was absolutely great meeting you all, swapping stories, having dinner and drinks and even doing a little business together. A shame it had to be over so soon (though i think we were suffering a bit with the pace of it all by the end ;)) We really hope you all come back as the GO3 organisers were really keen on EU's participation again next year! :D

John and Carmen: Shame you couldn't stay longer, there's so much more of WA to be seen and it sounds like you had some real fun with what you did see. Spring is coming and with it the big wine tasting season..."Spring in the Valley" is a huge blast....or at least i think is, judging by the size of the hangover i had after it last time :laugh: So maybe next time you'll be able to get a couple of weeks in :D.

This month also sees us unveiling our new Luna range (available from the shopkeeper out front of our PA Mall shop).

For those of you contemplating the more "boutique" armours sets, this is an ideal time for you to come see our range in shop. Alternatively, as always, everything we make is also available from our website as a custom order.

SFE - Uniform Update

This is our new Phase 1 uniform. The idea is to bring our avatars more in sync and give us a more corporate image within EU.

Its taken a fair while to get all 4 sets of Luna Line Corona together.

Special Thanks go out to Moonfish and Sao, without who's advice and assistance, i would have been pulling my hair out in a very short space of time! :bowdown:

I'll eventually work out on a more customised and permanent Phase 2 uniform which will really make the SFE boys stand out in a crowd :D.

Stay tuned and keep your virtual eyes open for us in and around PA Mall and the universe in general.

They will soon enough, i've got 1 set of Jungle Walkers already, just need to hand out the others, i'll then replace the picture to make it look proper. :D
