SFE - Price List Update

The Price list has been updated for September.

Our website also has the updated prices, a much nicer format for browsing and statistical information.

This month sees a drop in price for a couple of armours such as our popular new Luna range, available from the front shopkeeper outside our new store in Twin Peaks Mall (TPM).

You'll also notice some changes in the flagship store at PA Mall (PAM). Since opening at TPM, we have been able to free up item points and so are now able to shelve some of the armours we normally don't have room for.

For those of you contemplating the more "boutique" armours sets, this is an ideal time for you to come see more of our range at both stores.

Alternatively, as always, everything we make is also available from our website as a custom order.

Hi everyone,

We are due to open our new CND shop in the near future and so we have a favour to ask of you, the EU community.

As we are yet to finalise our stocking arrangements, this is your opportunity to provide some valuable feedback to us on what you would like to see stocked on CND in the very near future.

The Price list has been updated for November.

Sorry about the delay folks. Unfortunately, RL does interfere at the most awkward of times and as many of you can appreciate, it has to, on occasion, take precedence.

BUT, not all is bad news. There have been some well deserved drops in price for some of our more popular sets. And what better time than right before the holiday season!

SFE - Price Guide Update

The Price Guide has been updated for November.

Price Guide?

Yes folks, for the third month in a row, Hawkwing, the Treasurer for SFE, has been writing a guide to the pricing of SFE's armours so as to communicate to our customers the reasoning for our pricing structure and its fluctuations from month to month.

Till now, it has only been available to those people that have been curious enough to visit our private forums. However, from next month onwards, when our pricing list is updated, i will be providing a link to each months updated Guide so that more of you can see whats going on with things Inside the Fortress*.

Here's the opening lines from Hawkwing:

"As the Treasurer and manager of SFE's shops, it is my responsibility to set prices that are reasonable and fair. In order to do this, SFE undergo a once a month review of prices that is an intricate balance involving the current monthly averaged market prices, procurement prices as supplied from SFE Logistics department, success rates as dictated by SFE Crafting department and of course blue print procurement for those blueprints that have a limited life expectancy! All of this swirls around my own amazing little spread sheet and out comes the price recommendations for the following month!"

SFE - Shop Thread Update

For a while now, I've been wanting to do some revamping of our shop/business/society thread and tidy up the way the thread looks in general.

Due to a variety of reasons there are restrictions on what i can do with the posts on this thread, the least of which is deleting old or out of date posts that have been addressed.

My solution to this is to create a NEW thread (which i will open and close as i update it) and to turn this thread into a dedicated feedback thread where people can give us all the positive and negative feedback they like and enabling me to keep the NEW thread as pristine as possible.

So, please have a look over this thread (as i will only be deleting the main stuff once i'm happy with a new layout) and please forward any ideas or suggestions of what you think would be good for the new layout/format. MODS: Please let me know if you have any issues with this.

CND STORE GRAND OPENING!​

For sure you have some quite rare pieces but you would maybe sell more if some of them were cheaper...

Yeah, prices are actually something that we've thought long and hard about over the last 18 months or so that we've been running our business.

Our conclusion is that our pricing model is sound: All our prices are based on the cost of production.

So, if we were to sell for market price on some things as you say, then sure, we'd sell more, but that's because we'd be making a loss! The only reason we're still here, and still able to provide armour for people who want to buy it, is that we're passing on the production costs. If we weren't, we wouldn't have made it through our first month.

I guess the philosophy with us is that if you want a crafted armour, and you don't want to make it yourself, we take all the time and hassle out of it, and probably give it to you for less than it would take you to craft it yourself (by the time you take into account skills, blueprints, materials, time spent crafting and procuring ingredients etc.

Our prices ARE adjusted on a monthly basis though, according to material costs. The cost of a full suit of Expedition went down by 230 ped this month, for example!
