Question: Special Treatement for players - OK or not?

Certain players having "perks" from the creators is it OK or nah?

  • Yes - No further comment needed, These people pay enough they deserve it. RCE or not.

  • Yes - But moving forward it would be best with transparency, and properly adverting when and where.

I can say while I was on Next Island, early on, maybe the first ascension armor event. A dev DID spawn mobs near me without me asking and without any warning to anyone. I believe this was the 2nd or 3rd month of the ascension event so I guess June? 2021.

I was streaming Next Island obviously.

So I guess take that for what it is, because most on here will say I'm not important, but even I have had random mobs spawn for literally me and...2? other people I was hunting with.

Once again, I didn't ask or even know it was going to happen, but it 100% did happen.

Was this before or after the DannyO fiasco? I'm not familiar with the timing, but I do remember watching Bonnie's stream last month and the Ark dev there mentioned he could spawn mobs but only after giving MA a few weeks notice about it or something in that regard. So it's possible that they have became more strict with what devs are allowed to do after that situation.

When was the DannyO Fiasco? Mine was may or june 2021
 
So lets see some things...
1. Loot is decided at server level with a randomizer NOT in control of GM, PP or players.
2. coincidences happen, a player looted 2 TWEN items, we are 5000 regisgtered hunters
3. a Purger has 1.450.000 HP, average Joe has 3.50 DPP so it is 4.143+ regen to kill let's say 4500 ped... a SIMPLE and COMMON 8x multiplier is 35.000 a bad onbe is 1500 in loot... all is proportional.

Some 'player have special treatmetn ? or maybe only READ the release notes.

i was on Cyrene, a GM uttered in planet channel " if you look for Pristine Jelly item, look at monster name"... is it a sufficient Hint ? for some it is... for soem it is not... was on all planet, who read has an advantage.....
ASIMMETRY OF INFORMATION, study, research, examine thousands of loot events.
now we have trachker software (tally) that analyze what was dropped and in which quantity....... so easy life....

but Does not make you win a good loot, maybe increase chances to hunt the correct monster.

let's not fall in conspiracy theory... it is always bad
 
It sucks that certain avatars are 'more equal' than others but that's the way it's been since the beginning, and will be forever more. Casinos give comps to their big spenders... just a fact. Sucks if you play at the penny slots and not at the tables, but it is what it is.
 
This much back to back loot for so many people for so long isn’t by chance

Loot happens when loot tables are filled with items. Planet Partners 100% determine with Mindark approval what are in those tables. Neverdie quote from ancient times should be here, but I think that faq got deleted from Neverdie's forum a long time ago...

Most big time winners could be Planet Partner alts in disguise, but that's another theory for another thread I suppose.

Yes, Zephyrus who's an amazing guy explained how it worked, it has to be advertised on forums three weeks prior to the spawn, MA has to be aware of it. It means anyone can ask for that and not only the "besta bro" and closes to officials. I believe that's why it takes a lot of time for Bonnie to organize the interplanetary boss waves which is the best player-officials collab event, more stuff like that should be done.

So then it happened after. They were small mobs, lv 28-36, but they didn't normally spawn and they were shared mobs.

Wrong. I wasted more than $30k for last 3 years and biggest hof was 20k ped something. No double twens. No items above 300 ped drops ever.
Some players are more equal not because of spent money. (IP maybe?)

We all know she didn’t lose 30k. She bought items and cycled some of it and likely had a lot of ped left

I do get salty at the game and the loot sometimes but its not rigged and Mindark dont do favours for special ppl or avatars, just look what mindark did to arkadia studio for lending out restoration chips to players.....

Dont hate the game, hate the players ;)
 
I've been at Sandking in the past multiple times when an official showed up and a player who I can't name because of forum rules would announce in local to go to a specific location because they were going to spawn mobs for us. would also sometimes just say the location himself in local. Usually those mobs were Entropy the Purger and other vanguard bosses. I don't believe anything is special with TT loot on these, but I know for a fact that they dropped large ESIs a lot as I got a couple myself and people would consistently announce getting one in local (2016-2018.) I would also check auction and sort ESIs to see who most likely got ones they didn't shout and if those who said they got one actually did and weren't trolling as many usually do. There was no advanced warning or large scale public announcement. Sometimes it would be publically announced by a player in #waveevents right before or during it happening. I would hardly call that giving a public announcement though since the majority of players aren't in that channel and those who are often have it muted. This is definitely special treatment that was focused on a small group no matter how you look at it. I used to camp SK waves all day and by chance would be there sometimes when this occured. I know it happened many other times though because I would see bosses that at the time were only possible to be dev spawned. Info for newer players, many vanguard bosses were only dev spawns until NTI. If you look on Entropialife, then you can find many instances of bosses that don't spawn naturally being killed in times that you will absolutely not be able to match up with any in game event or public announcement. Maybe the loophole here is that if a player posts a POS and says something in a channel on in game text it's considered "a public announcement." However you put it having markup opportunities for a subset of players that weren't naturally occuring in game lines up well with the definition of rigging to me. The boosted loot mini event at the I3-TF wave recently was also rigging if it was done intentionally as it gave some players an unfair advantage that wasn't within the bounds of the normal system. Whether this should be allowed and to what extent is what this thread is about.

Edit: redacted name of official as I don't really want to have them be in trouble for something I'm pretty sure others have done. I believe if they got in trouble it would only be a in response to the public, and not their own practices and culture within the office. I don't want to take a chance of making someone a public whipping boy because I don't believe in that. Just in case, idk if it's even a problem in MA's eye.

When it comes to spawning mobs, and offical posts location of it, time and what boss mob is spawned there, I am totally ok with it.

Sadly often the comunity won´t know anything about this special spawns, only a handful handpicked players know about it, and a few randam players who have been at the right time at right place to hear about it.
This is sad!

At least ND tells his planet when he spawns mobs in time, so everyone who wants can join the fun.

sidenote:
ESI drops from boss mobs is well known fact, so complaining about a manually spawned boss mob dropping ESIs is a little off the topic.
Its hard coded in the loot routine that this kind of mobs can drop ESIs.

Addressing your note about the ESIs dropping from more often from boss mobs, the reason I added this was simply to show that there is a benefit to killing these mobs beyond what is normally available to players because they on average have higher average markup than the majority of mobs. I would suggest trying not to read between the lines on what someone's emotion is in typing when it isn't clearly evident.
 
Why is it the same people posting complaint thread after complaint thread? You don’t like it here no one forces you to play. Go find a new game you enjoy cuz entropia obvious ain’t it.

If you don't like seeing people discuss important topics in the game that involve transparency, consistency, and how the money of many die hard players is used, then you should stick to the Hall of Fames thread. I care about the future of this game and I care about the money I've invested. Many people seem to be quick to throw out the word "complaining" on here as a blanket way to express they're upset about what somebody is saying. I don't personally understand the point in making any comment if you aren't going to discuss the topic at hand.
