Okay, as we all know the sweat prices are a big deal of the price increase on ME.

So I figured who else to come up with some workable idea than us (The players and proud user of both PE en EF)

HOPEFULLY, MA will see this threat, and maybe see an idea they thing would work. :)

Here are the ideas I have either seen written her on the forum, or I have come up with myself.

1. Sweat in "no loots"

2. Remove the sweatcap (might not be something MA would like)

3. Make the sweatcap higher, and the amount of sweat each time higher as well

4. Marco makes official MA sweaters without sweatcap. All standing in official MA coats sweating all day long. :D

Bet some of you have some better idea, so throw them in, thoughts, idea, anything for some lower ME prices.

We have to do our part too. And that means not buying at high prices :wise:

I agree with the rest though :)

LOL...great new icon and siggy DD.

I have completely stopped buying ME, Sweat, and Force Nexus.

But I like some of your suggestions. I'll add some suggestions later if I come up with any.

Thanks

I sold my TP chip to help me stop buying... LOL

Just don't think it will work, since it would take us to be able to get ALL people to stop buying at those prices.
Which is kinda like telling all people to stop using windows (Windows sucks, but we still use it)

If Marco reads this, would you be so kind to give a little notice to that you are aware of the problem... Pretty pretty please... :)

Any little bit helps though. If 50% of the people stop buying at insane prices that is 50% less customes the sweaters have and prices should start to come down.

Im in for the Sweat as a lootable comodity. It just plain nuts with the prices right now. I really do not want to jack up the price even more in desperation just to get these Sweaters to sell me any. Once you start with 4-5 pec a sweat, they will all follow the trend and hike it even more.

Knowing MA, I bet they will make some new chip that allows non-sweaters to sweat again at great decay. :dunce:

Edit that post before anyone from MA gets any good ideas... LOL

I know, I know... They can just read my quote... :D

and of course it will use more ME than the sweat you gather with it LOL

Yea, we give MA lots of ideas... You know.. I help MA...

Like premoting the game and other stuff like boxes to the game and some scriptwriter. Stuff that will hapen later in the game and stuff like that.

I like the idea of dedicated MA sweaters, but that kind of kills the sweat market for the noobies....

I had a long discussion with someone last night (from the questions etc he asked...I got very suspicious that he works for MA)....and we discussed this. What I said to him was that the game needs to be easier for noobs. And they need to be able to play and play Well for at least a month for free... to get them hooked....so they should be able to sweat for a month... even using trapping to sweat, and after that.... they will be addicted, and want to deposit. So I say the solution for this... lift the sweat cap considerably, and then allow trapped creatures to be sweatable.

As for the rest of the game.... my friends all leaving and all the ubers packing up..... I think its about loot and skills....

Its a mistake to hold back on the loot etc because that will make people deposit more. Truth of the matter is, if people see loot is bad etc, they're not going to want to invest. Im gonna suggest that they up the drop rate a little bit on the uber items.... not the dropping like flies we had previously, but a bit more than presently.....

A. the prices of these items WILL come down a bit.... and lets face it.. the high prices people pay for these things, does not go to MA... it goes to the players themselves to withdraw.

B. if people have bigger guns with bigger decay available to them at a cheaper price, then they will put more money into the game to repair the guns etc and to pay for ammo.... and they will be killing bigger mobs which use more decay and use more ammo....to get better items... to hunt bigger mobs to get better items to hunt bigger mobs... ETC.

As for skills... yeah the ubers have left because they can't skill for HP and evade with rippersnappers and mod faps anymore.... and HP is what they were after. We need to give them new things to strive for....

My last 5 hunting trips have been so horrid, I've stop depositing. The last global I got was 50peds, my armor decay was 38 peds, my weapon decay (without amp) was 24 peds. So you can see, that with the cost of ammo added in and very little peds from loot, it's been a loosing battle to break even or even stay afloat. I must have killed every atorx south of Ithica(sp) to the point of nausium. Not one item dropped, let alone a decent armor part. God forbid that should happen.

You got to admit MA hit the nail on thehead with TP chips ppl are addicted and they area complete waste of money except that they save you a bit of time.

Ok my ideas

Simply make sweating easyer and quicker. This way newbs are getting sort of same rate per hour but are putting out more sweat. Think about if they doubled the sweat output instead of 5 bottles max you get 10. But then the price drops to 1.5 per bottle. Newbs be still making the same amount of money an hour. but ppl would pay less for using ME.

Price of ME makes MF skills unpractical for those on low budgets. Bad enough you need to get a inserter and an implant then the chips then ME at the price it is.

It would be good if sweat came down to 1 pec per bottle.

Mabey even a new sort of sweat farm idea but put it like way up north like up by Caravan. That way newbs would have to travel a long way to get there and they'd get some exploring in instead of haing out in the SW corner of Eudoria so much.

Like back in the day when newbs could actually have chance at getting to the Rig and grabbing some oil I found newbs explored a lot more and where better off.

The poor Noobs dont stand much of a chance away from the cities and camps. Mob density has made it all but impossible for them to explore. I've even escorted some a few times, and sometimes with the noob and me both getting overrun with beasties.

I had to escort a poor newbie last night. Someone had told them to go look for flowers (.....) and they had ran all the way from PA to the Outpost east of Twin Peaks. MudKicker, Scorp and myself gave her some fruit and items, even though we can barely afford to go on a hunt as it is.

I agree with you Az, the loots are rediculous, the majority of players in PE simply do not have the time or PED to play for 5-10 Hours at a time, making this game unrealistic unless you're retired with a fat paycheck, or you're a bum that sits and does nothing.

see this thread i kinda disagree

It's still possible to travel around you just have to be careful sometimes take a little detour. and if you know where your going sometimes a planned death can get you there quicker.

a lot of the huge mob spawns you can outrun them too.

Lets not forget you work for a fat paycheck!! :D Oh and you are out of state with nothing better to do for weeks and months outta the year.

This consulting job has done wonders for my stats. Now if only i had some time for RL!

haha, I haven't been paid in over a year, which is the main reason I stopped playing PE for awhile. Benefits of being part of a small business I suppose. The loots just make it that much harder :(

As a n00b myself (11 days now) I know that it's not impossible to explore, just very difficult in some areas. Yes you are going to die, but then you try a different route :silly2: . Gives you even more knowledge of the land that way. It also encourages us n00bs to talk to more people. I have gotten some great advice from RexDameon as well as help the other night from DevilDoll in getting the Argus TP (thanks DD and sorry for the MOB aggro  ). But, I hadda ask. I ran 26 TP's in just my orange suit with a 1x0 and 0.01 ped, so it can be done. Just takes patience, persistence, and the willingness to ask for help sometimes
Thanks EF, you guys and gals are great!

The sweatcap should be unlocked a little as you go up in other skills.

true but you could just buy skills, sweat til lyour locked, sell skills,

unless i am mistaken *shrugs*

personally i think sweating should be removed altogether.
I don't actually see the point to it - we are told that it gives people a sample of PE for free but really, sweating is like nothing else in PE, so it isn't a good free example to give.
I have nothing against those who do it at all, but I see it as a burden on server reources and bandwidth.
Removing the sweat cap would just give people a free ride forever, and why should those who put money into PE pay for those who don't?

If you are serious about PE then removing sweating wont make any difference to you at all.

1. Sweat in "no loots"

hear hear!! :wise:

50 sweat in every 'no loot' and I might be close to break-even again!

the noobs still have fruit and dung to collect.

Nah not really. If ppl need to get skills in other areas they need to hunt/craft/mine and that requires at least one deposite so the ppl that do deposite can go back into sweating n the noobs run into the cap unless they deposite. Not to say i like it the way it is right now either. You can't really get the taste of PE without depositing in my point of view but it would mean less change in the system n still restore the sweat balance some.

I fully support the idea that mobs should give more sweat per attempt, and as sweat has zero TT value* it wouldn't cost MA anymore, would allow the noobs to keep their income level but put more ME into the market. Of course maybe as the price of ME drops more people will buy it, driving the price up again....

But anyway, most people would be happy... noobs get more sweat, and perhaps a little more money, miners get more demand for nexus, mindforce users get cheaper ME and finally MA gets more decay from people using their mindforce chips more....

*ok, I know that if you put an awful lot of sweat into the TT the value will eventually climb above zero, but...

I totally agree with you - I would add that if Noobs and players that can't deposit had sweating to fall back on we would have a better economy and a lower churn rate on players. It would also have people who deposit - but fall on hard times in the game - something to fall back on. Hey this game isn't just for rich kids with daddy's credit card, the retired, - it is and should be inclusive (Marco - if you reading this - read it as a larger market share with rapid growth potential rather than a small niche market or (preferably) a more humane and inclusive Scandinavian approach to on-line gaming.

My last soc collapsed because trading got too tough - lots of people selling low tt items (noob items) and no noobs to buy. Members of my current soc who have invested a lot in hunting are now pulling out into games like EVE cause the loots in PE are so poor that the cost $ per month of play is getting far-far-far to high.

What if you could get a 'bottling kit' from the TT that allowed you to harvest sweat from the corpses of dead mobs with a small amount of decay? Or maybe it could replace the 'no loot' message with a bottle of sweat or two if in your possession.
