Which skills gives the most health... And how much?

Chipped out all HG in two steps.

Crazy again. like rifle.

1. 5789 to 4847 --> lost nothing !
2. 4847 to 1 --> lost 3 HP !?!

The both chips were nearly same tt value.

HP at 99 atm.

PS: i had a typo in the HP when chipping out Perception. went to 105 not 107...
i corrected it in the post.

Chipped out all CR

4555 to 1. Lost 3 HP. Down to 96.

How many skills have you left Kyl...not much space left for attributes!

You want me to show the ultra low (<=135) skills too?

No that's cool.

OK, so of the ones left only Weps Handling that is believed to be HP giving. But that'll take you down to 92/93 if the first page estimate is close so only 4 or 5 HP left for the attributes! I'm guessing from your attributes you chipped in quite a bit at some point?

gnihihi there is some time i have more screens from chipping in then globals ;)

it was like food for my avatar :)

Animal taming does NOT give any health either, can put it there with other non-health givers.

Also the science skills: analysis, probing, various scans, botany, biology nada.

  • [...]
  • Psyche (Attribute)*
  • Agility (Attribute)*
  • Int (Attribute)*
    [...]
*The attributes we will probably never know the numbers for.

To shed a little more light on this issue, steffel has created a thread to collect data and I have come up with an initial "guesstimate" on the factors:

  • Agility: 150 (pretty uncertain, definitely a lot different from the rest of the attributes)
  • Int: 25 (influence of Int, Str, Psy seems to be pretty similar)
  • Str: 25
  • Psy: 25

Still need more data though to be able to give a sound margin of error. However, together with the other factors in this thread, I get a pretty good match on my 107 HP. :)

I'm pretty sure that Agility gives arround 1 HP per each 38 to 42 levels. I require more data from my friends to make sure what the number is, at the moment it seems to be either 39 or 40.

Mining: not exactly 1K per HP, i chipped in some just for this reasin and I think it is like 1300 or so per hP.

I just chipped Serendipity from 136 to 2226.
Total skill gain: 2090
Total HP increase: 1 Point

The date is pretty nicely accurate...
Has helped me alot with my decisions on what to chip..
Thanks for putting this together...

You might as well share all of it. If you chipped multiple chips in a row, without doing any skilling in between, knowing the entire progression can help a lot.

Also, if you plan to chip again it can make things more precise if you wait until right after you gain a hp by natural skill progression and then implant it. That way, half of the uncertainty is done away with.

Edit: nvm you listed them anyway :D Are all the ones that start and end at the same skill level without other activities in between?
Going up 4089 levels in hg without a hp gain seems highly unlikely.

Edit again: If you chipped all of those without any skilling activity in between, it would be best if you ordered them as they were chipped -- we can get more information that way. Thanks for sharing!

All those chips were implanted without me doing anything in between other than dancing and 3 small hunts(30k ammo spent)

Claire

Alright let me pick out what's useful in that. Do you remember where your hunts were in that lineup?

So far i have (improved limits obtained from your chipping in bold):

Courage: (304 to 344)
Mining: At least 778

This one seems a bit odd to me:
Hangun Skill: Before 275 After 2450 - 2175
It seems to suggest that handgun is much higher than seems possible. Or maybe my brain isn't working right. Are you sure you didn't gain a hp from that?

Anyway, i don't think anything else can be gleaned, although some did nicely confirm previous limits without improving them any.

I hunted AFTER chipping...I should have mentioned that...sorry :ahh:

Oh and another chip :D

Perception: Before 365 After 2013 – 1648 Health Increase from 126 to 127

Eh, ok... how did handgun get from 2450 to 2451, then?

Hangun Skill: Before 275 After 2450 - 2175
...
Handgun: Before 2451 After 3010 – 559

Is that just a roundoff error?

Perc chip doesn't narrow our limits any, but thanks again.

If you really didn't get a HP from that big hg chip and there was no hunting (with a hp gain in it) between the hg chips i listed there, it means the minimum limit for hg is 3190 which is clearly wrong.

Firstly I killed 1 Berycle young after getting the Maddox IV which can explain the 1 level. Could have been on the verge of getting the level and killing the mob gave me the rest needed. Did not see the error.

On the matter of the "big" handgun chip. My data was just in-accurate. When one is chipping after no sleep for 38 hours one tends to lose sight of certain things, so I apologize.

These skills is known to give HP:

Umm...*cough*
"These skills ARE known to give HP"...
Sorry for the grammar correction...that was just hurting my brain...

On to more fun matters...
2 more chips :D
Weapons Handling: Before 1729 After 2688 – 959
Drilling: Before 291 After 1959 – 1668 Health Increase from 127 to 128

No problem, but what is the inaccuracy? That you did get a hp? What's the explanation?

Drilling and weapons handling -- no improvement.

There must be a HP increase as Handgun has been for me the most accurate stated skill the list has. But I do not remember the HP increase itself. If you like you can disregard the "big" HG chip as it gives just a number of levels increased but not the HP increase...

Claire
