Word is that someone got access to the goldcard numbers on the server responsible, so they had to shut down to protect everyone. Not sure if thats 100% true, but I think its believable.

i dont think so .... if it was the case they would just temp lock the accounts with gold cards and let everyone els play so they didnt loose all cash flow
