Here is your chance to get your hands on an Entropia Universe starter pack before launch!

Starting your avatar's career is about to get much easier. With a selection of three brand new starter packs featuring the new Harrier Armor, Weapon, Fast Aid Pack and more, you will be ready to jump right into action.

The new starter packs, labelled Bronze, Silver and Gold, will be available for $5, $15 and $40 respectively. The Silver and Gold packages will also contain an amount of PED, the currency of Entropia Universe, so you can participate in the economy right from the start.

Starter packs will be available to new players at account creation. For existing players, the starter packs will be available in the web shop that will soon be launched at https://account.entropiauniverse.com.

To introduce the new Starter Packs, this weekend we will stage a pre-release event for all level of players with items from the starter packs as prizes.

Scoring

Highest single loots on Argonaut Scouts (a somewhat smaller sibbling to the creatures seen above)

Prizes

25 starter packs containing
  • 25 starter packs containing:
  • One full set of Adjusted Harrier armor (the Gold level armor).
  • 50 PED of Universal Ammo
  • One Neurobiotic Booster A5 1mg - 1 Hour 50% skill gain increase
  • One H-DNA - Automated revival device.
Event Dates
  • Event Start: Friday, June 6, 14:00 UTC
  • Event End: Monday, June 9, 14:00 UTC
Spawn Locations
  • Minopolis: map coordinates 86908, 84825
  • Fort Ithaca: map coordinates 69028, 87093
  • Ashi coords map coordinates 83039, 78002

The locations are all reachable through the Teleporter system on Planet Calypso by the names Minopolis, Fort Ithaca and Ashi respectively. If you are unsure on how to get to the locations have a look at the video tutorials on http://www.entropiauniverse.com/entropia-universe/beginners-guide/video-tutorials/

The Argonaut Scout creature are a relatively low level mob but they can nonetheless be a challenge to new players. To counter this you can team up with other players and use different roles as riflemen, Healers (FAP) and even escape vehicle drivers. This way your team can build your own distinctive way of hunting and create loads of fun!

I am going away for a party over weekend, but will grind some during friday, sunday evening :)

interesting, it's nice it's an event a noob can do :) adj pixie pretty much all you need ...

If a team of 12 win, will they get half of prize pool?

So are the starter packs only valid on MA planets? ;)

Rules & Notes

Teams are allowed in this event, but note that the highest single loot will be attributed to the avatar who scores the killing blow.

Limit of one prize per avatar account. Once selected for a prize, all subsequent globals for that avatar will be removed from the ranking list.

Any attempt at abusing any Entropia Universe systems or features in order to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will be grounds for disqualification from the event, forfeiture of any prizes, and possible sanctions imposed on one’s Entropia Universe account.

I was under the impression that these starter packs were a universe wide addition, not Planet Calypso specific....Am I wrong in this impression?

Each Planet Partner is a rival, fighting for their own customers.
I guess this might be Calypso specific starters, with other Planets introducing their own. In same manner as graduation rewards.

I am still under the impression these are universe wide. Calypso is holding the event/"paying" for the prizes is my assumption. Being that they intend to offer them via a web shop that has been announced by MA, not by Caly, the event being held on Calypso does not necessarily mean the starter packs are planet specific.
 
Can someone from the office pls comment on the escape driver thingy so I have someone to -rep? :wtg:

Ps incase vtol hunting is now allowed I will be taking offers on ALL my armor sets & defense skills
Full sala, grem, phantom, +- 1250 TT evade etc

"Escape driver" = Someone driving a group away if they are too outmatched, so they can regroup before getting back to the hunt. Allowed according to EULA.

"VTOL Hunting" = Repeatedly using vehicles to get out of range of enemy attacks, avoiding taking damage and decay. Not allowed according to EULA.



Is pretty much how I interpret it...?

If I go w/o armor on strong mobs I will feel outmatched also, can I then use my vehicle..
IMO it's just asking to 'exploit', shouldn't even call it that anymore
But it is for sure a good way to educate noobs.

& yes, I saw Kim just read this thread & not comment.. shows me again how much they actually care.

That's how I read it too. Folks here will rules lawyer and hair split though just to do it. Some people are too 'smart' for their own good.
 
I really like these casual weekend events, Hopefully i will have some time over to shoot some Argo scum for this one.

These are small argos not proterons, and the prizes are STARTER PACKS. People are free to hop into a vehicle and get away when a mob that's too big to them spawns right next to them. To try and prohibit that is just silly.

Twisted logic.

Atroxes are not Daspletors. Should people hunting Trox be free to hop in vehicle and fly away when mob that's too big for them is next to them?

How do you think, what those new players will do when they grow up and go for bigger mobs, if you would teach them such tactics since beginning? Very bad schooling.

Allowing that behavior at some levels and prohibiting on others is just silly!

I agree on that, but it's not what's written

It states escape vehicle drivers, to me this means a person that is ready to take you away from the mob.. meaning this will not happen only once/hour
secondly... It doesn't matter wether it's a puny or a dasp..
It's the same as saying the amp exploit would've been 'ok' with lvl 2 amps but not with lvl 13's

Yup they are. Plus if people hunt them in team it's pretty stupid, for one thing the one who does the last shot gets the starterpack, and soul bound so no way to "split".
