The Gallery is devoted to popularizing Participant Created art and all effort will be put to introducing a new exhibition every week. The Vernissages will be usualy held on Thursday evenings 20:00 MA Time unless the exhibiting artists cant make the time then the more appropriate oppening time will be announced.

Bringing culture to the City of Culture (New Oxford) we will have the pleasure of revitalizing the idea and concept upon which the city was built. Trying to bring out the creative side of the Universe participants the gallery will do its best at ensuring the art is created by the participant themselves. We have made a hard decision not to display art which is done by artists not participating in the universe, thus we will stay true to our beliefs and continue on our mission to inspire you and your artistic side


There are 3 main display areas in the gallery. The Center room which will ususaly be occupied by Ido - the gallery owner, The Big room which will either be occupied by one big exhibition of 1 artist or split between two artists with smaller exhibitions. That is also the room where live art auctions will take place. There is also the small room left of the door for artists which preffer a more cozy atmosphere or dont have a large collection to display.

Each room can be booked for a period of 2 weeks. To exhibit at the gallery please PM - Ido on EF or contact me via idosunrider@op.pl and send a sample of the art you would like to display. When booking you will be asked the size of your collection and the area you wish to display in The artist is expected to have his collection more or less ready for preview a week before the exhibition begins.


I wish to congratulate our wonderfull comunity on joining me in this journey and adventure. I am looking forward to exhibiting the most wonderfull art of all ...

01.03.2007 - Ido's Sketches

I decided to post here the art pieces that have been on display in the gallery... Since the exhibitions will be changing i thought it might be nice to keep some record of what has been on display and when ... just for the future generations to see

During the opening of the gallery 4 sketches from Ido's Collection have been shown. They are all pieces inspired by works of Masamune Shirow. The technique used for them is Ink on Paper.


These works are currently part of a permanent exhibition at the gallery

08.03.2007 - Ido's Abstract Art

A week after the opening seeing the positive responses from the comunity I decided to upload two abstract pieces and display them at the gallery... One of them dedicated to one of the participants called "Mistress of Pink" carries a great emotional load...


Because Abstract art is not about the images shown but the feelings they release when viewed...

In this exhibition not only Paintings have been displayed but also sculptures and murals made of everyday items... Silva has shown a great sense of matching shapes and colors when creating the sculptures also her paintings left many guests breathless

Silva can be hired as an internal decorator and one of the services she offers is creating such murals as presented above to help you keep memories of some special event or big loot connected to the items used in the scupture

22.03.2007 - Tide's Paintings

Tide is one of the first artists of calypso (if not the very first) her paintings show characteristic places from Calypso Her painting style is very distinctive and interesting

Ohh I love Silva's paintings and sculptures!
It have charmed me totaly. Colors, structures... I want to see more of these symmetrical journeys

Its a very hard process i know because i had to set the sculptures and murals up in the gallery under the supervision of Silva

Silva is an internal decorator and you can hire her to do murals and sculptures for your home too

05.04.2007 - Spiiral's Paintings

After taking a vote on the forum to decide which pieces of art he should display at the gallery Spiiral has decided to exhibit these 3 great pieces


Together with him Sanity has exhibited this piece called "Ode to Marylyn"

I would also like to take this opportunity to appologize to the art loving comunity for not being able to take care of the gallery in May. Unfortunatly i had been greatly occupied with RL issues and didnt have much time to participate in EU. I hope the month of delay didnt cause too much trouble.

I hope you will all come and enjoy the exibition and auction on Thursday.

Ido, I really like what you've done with the layout for the catalog, looks very nice. It looks very well balanced, and it draws attention to the brightest image.

Ido, I think you should start updating this thread some more. ^_^

It has been a long while since the last time I have posted to this thread and i would like to take this opportunity to appologize to everyone for the long standstill period at the gallery...

I would like to revive Ido's Gallery of Contemporary Arts now so im sending out a call to all artists living on Calypso to come forward with their artworks...




The gallery is located at Billton Tower 3, 5G its open now so everyone can go and see how it looks like inside...

Exhibiting at the gallery is FREE!!! We want to encourage aspireing Artists to exhibit...

A small 10% fee will be asked in case of a sale either from the gallery or on a Live auction which can be organized after the exhibition time is over.

So please send me a PM if you are interested in taking the opportunity to show of your arts to the rest of the population of Calypso.

The displayed paintings at Ido's Gallery have been moved to the VRArtHouse shop in TI City Platinum Block A shop #06 ... The paintings are currently available for purchase

A new set of paintings By Maureen Twister Twist have been moved into the Gallery at Billton T3, 5G and are now available for viewing
