I dont like the idea of segregation in any way whatsoever. My initial draw to PE was the game was free to play but I was more than ready to deposit an initial 50$ after a week (like a trial run to see if i liked it enough)to 1.supplement my enjoyment of the game 2.I would have paid more than that if it came in a box set. 1 year later i have put in 12k US and my net worth is worth over 13k (Recent inflation made me very happy indeed as I could walk away up rather than down).
Some people cannot deposit due to whatever IRL circumstance and thats fine in my opinion, I just feel that to withdraw from the economy, you must have put into it first. There would be rules applied to this to make it as fair as possible but there really isnt much argument against in my opinion, or one that ive heard, that has changed my mind on this. My simple reasoning is this: If you decide to play EU as a free game, without ever depositing, why suddenly change your view when it comes down to withdrawing. Also I have heard many non depositors saying that in their opinion the game isnt worth paying into and then fine, leave, go away and dont come back. Thats not the kind of player that is wanted in EU anyway.
Whatever has been said in this thread is purely thearetical anyway as the games foundations are built on the fact that you dont have to or need to deposit to play. And thats the way it will stay until the pyramid collapses.
