Starting about a week before the June MF update, I started searching the wondrous, mob-free, areas of Treasure Island on Planet Calypso for fruit, dung, and stones. After approximately 369 hours searching TI Castle, TI Riverside, TI Northern Shores, the two empty LAs between TI Castle and TI Northern Shores, and parts of the Frescoquda LA north of the two empty LAs, I found:

I found my trutun at the southern tip of TI Northern Shores, and in both empty LAs with 5/7 Trutun finds around the 39275 longitude in the southern empty LA. The rutol finds were near the boarder between TI Caslte and TI Riverside (south of the TI Castle lake), near the boarder between the two empty LAs, and in TI Northern Shores near where the boarders betwen TI North and the two empty LAs meet.

I collected coordinate data for the majority of the finds I made on TI, including all rutol and 5/6 trutun, but did not correlate position and resource type. I'll post the raw coordinates below and if anyone wants to map them out for a general sense of some of the fruit, dung, and stone fields on Treasure Island is more than welcome to do so (not to mention EFD and +rep if you actually post the map;))

No disrespect Aro, for me this would be insane to do. But then again, I guess for everybody else that wonders were shit drops etc this is interesting data that could be use for something. +rep for that
 
I dont understand why people say OP has no life. Collecting stones and fruit is profit for him. I'm sure you all have been out hunted atleast 369 hours and made a loss. :laugh:

2 years ago i made a new avatar in CND just to try to find if there is a pattern in fruits/stones.
I used dome 7(mainly) if i remember well cause no mobs were there. I used a cad program to mark the coords.
Some assumptions:
a) No fruits/stones were found in the same spot twice. Close yes. Same spot no...
b) As long the avatar is virgin in skills you find something. After the avatar got few skills from hits the finds become less and less.
c) Its not worth the time. Especially now that fruits prices are low. And CND doesnt offer those huge amounts in every find(eg i found 800 brukite once) anymore. Guess they changed that.
d) Extremely harmfull for the eyes. Trying to pay attention to the ground i wasnt blinking my eyes properly. That made them dry and the vessels were expanding. My eyes were red like they were bleeding. Went to eye clinic twice and since then i use Viscodrops to lubricate my eyes most of the times i play a game.
e) What i made from the finds(around 600-800 peds) wasnt enough to pay the Viscodrops(joking)
f) MA doesnt pay for Viscodrops either (joking again)

Those were MY assumptions. Maybe things have changed. But my belief is that trying to find fruits on the ground doesnt worth the time, the strain to your eyes and the money to run an 700W+ pc...

The coordinates are useless. Many believe the fruits, stones n dungs are "already" dropped on the ground by FPC before you sighted them. So they went searching for them.

My theory is that the fruits, stones n dungs are "rewards" from FPC and they "PoP" up right after you walk/run past them. That means there is nothing on the ground until they pop up for you to pick. If you somehow miss it, it will stay there for a while before it disappear again. If someone is with you, he may also see it and pick it up.

I'm very impressed with the stick-to-it-ivness!! I've never had the patience to collect stuff for more than 10 minutes at a time. :)

Nowdays I drive my Valk in the hills a lot and just notice the occassional pile on the ground. Guess I'll never have enough to sell for 1k ped.:D

Very impressive! I managed to walk to every tp on both continents and found alot of stuff as well, however it didn't take near that long! And I was extremely sick of walking after that anyway. Great job!

The question is, is anyone crazy enough to go to those locations and see if they can find anything? From my own experiements in mining I could never hit the same claim twice. I belive things are random and not specific to one place. However I find that the same items can be found in the same areas. I would not be surprised if these locations may actually produce if you walk around in the general area of each locations.

I think you're right. I would think going to each coord individually, you'd find more items walking between them then at the exact coord where they were.

Haha, i even find fruits while driving my car. Drove Shinook Jungle - Neas yesterday and found 5 "spawns" of fruit. This while driving :D

I'm not sure, they have a low visibility, if you walk away from it it dissapears quite fast,

It could also take some time to load, that combined with the low visibility could explain the pop upeffect,

I droped things on random spots to see if they stay there, seems there is a reset i think, not sure someone could have picked it up too.

Those 369 hours were spread over about 7 weeks. And I did get bored now and then. Once I even got so bored that I went to Nea's for some sweating just to relieve the tension from too many hours looking at the ground patterns on TI :D

And the crazy thing is: I'm playing on an under spec. computer! I only have 1.5GB RAM (DDR1 400MHz) of which my ASUS chipset can only slave 128MB for video buffering. At Nea's or Swamp Camp, if it's busy, after I die and revive I can expect that when I run back out to the sweat group and the center of my radar is green dots, I will have to wait 10-30 seconds for my video to catch up enough for the MOB to spawn on my screen so that I can start sweating again. Other avatars around the mob can be anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes in appearing. Assuming that the sweat gun doesn't spawn and float around the screen while the ava holding the sweat gun remains unrendered and invisible. :laugh:

So yah 5ped/hour, or even half that as a low-ball estimate with 24 hours in a day two individuals sharing a computer and willing to each "work" 12 hours a day (using two accounts and refreshing IP at each "shift change") would on average pull 60ped a day between them. That's 1800ped a month, using a computer that would be considered 5-6 years out of date in the West and might very reasonably be sent to a developing country as E-Waste for disposal or recycling, or as part of development aid. ROFLMAO
