Meh, I may as well start a diary. Everyone else has...and of course since this updates taking yonks to download, I may as well do something constructive. And no, I couldn't think of a more inventive title for this topic. If you have comments.... err.... either post or PM... or simply choose not to.

Okay, I'm going to skip ahead to the events of yesterday. Why? Well my first few months on Calypso weren't that interesting. I sweated. I got bored and deposited. I ran from TP to TP. I sacrificed my life to feed a herd of Atrox. The general newbie stuff that is fun to do, but not to read.

The story picks up outside of Atlas Haven...yesterday. I decided to un-equip my armour to save decay and instead just hunt/skill with an amped Opalo and 100PED's of ammo. My main target: Snables. Yes, I can take on bigger mobs. But I wanted to skill whilst being as efficient as possible. Snables have been pretty good recently on both loot and especially skills. Plus I can kill them in around two shots...so it's fairly efficient hunting. About 50PED's in, I had a reasonable amount of loot - about 20PEDs and plenty of hides, wools etc. Then I decided to have a break from Snables, and decided to take on some Daikibas. Lucky choice. My first kill of an Old resulted in a 40PED loot. Huzzah!

Sadly my happiness was short-lived. Another Daikiba snuck up behind me and stabbed me in the back. You see, it really wasn't that smart of me to go running into a herd of them. Especially with low health, no armour and no FAP.

Back at the revival terminal, I decided I needed something. A tagging gun. Something with a longer range than Opalo...and ten times more fun.

Less than five minutes later I step out the Deluxe Service Centre brandishing a Marber Bravo. :D And it was a very reasonable price. Now, I know. The ammo consumption is rediculous. I probably couldn't hit anything from point blank range. And no, I most likely do not have the required skills to use it even REMOTELY efficiently. But you know what? I don't care. I'm thinking in the long run here. And of course I've always had a thing about plasma weapons...I'm just fascinated by them. So as you can imagine I had a pretty big grin on my face now I had possession of such a device. But the proof of the pudding was in the eating. Attaching my amp to it I decided to have a little "test" run:

Bird.JPG

The word "Owned" and "Overkill" came to mind. Now I also realise this a tremendous waste of ammo. But hey - I'm here in PE to have fun. Feeling powerful now I had killed a bird that had like 10 health to start with, I went off in search of something more challenging. I brought up the map and had a bit of a look around...somewhere I hadn't been yet and somewhere where I could have fun with the Marber - shooting things that were inanimate or otherwise.

Ahoy! Spiral Mountain.

I've never been there before, and I keep seeing it mentioned on the forums and in the PE Directory. Figuring I may as well see what was there, I began my long journey from PA. On the way I passed that small island SE of PA....which was covered in Faucervix (sp?). I fired off a shot....or several. I must have spent at least 10PED in ammo...and got less than 2PED back. Meh - it made me happy for a short while.

But rather than dawdle and shoot faucervix all day, I set back on my journey. To cut it short, I made it to the outpost S of the mountain. My goal was in sight!

I carefully weaved my way between the mobs I knew I had absolutley no chance against. Such as Warrior Gen 4's. I could see the spiral path...but there was something in my way. An Araneatrox. In utter curiosity I blasted it up the rear end with the plasma gun. Aha! Take that foul mob! :tongue2:

Now imagine. You're a large angry mob, and you've just been shot up the backside with a bolt of superheated plasma. You wouldn't be happy would you? I was hoping I'd cause some significant damage with the gun like I had been doing on other mobs....but no. All the shot did was attract the mobs attention. As far as I could tell, it's health bar didn't even go down.

Arokh's Helpful Hint:
Araneatrox aren't that friendly. Especially after being shot at.

Oh well. Just like the bird earlier, I was owned. Badly. Back at the revival terminal I came across an orange guy who was desperately trying to get to PA. So I did the decent thing and helped him to PA - it's the right thing to do ;) . Only problem was that he spoke very little English...

Well, that's about where I logged out last time. In PA. Now this updates nearly finished, I'm off to check out this new city. So...I'll end it here. It's long enough methinks.

Well, I decided to have a look at the new addition to EU - New Oxford. Typically I decided to have a look at the most inconvenient time...when everyone else was having a look. Thus the lag was terrible. I took like a step, the computer hung for a minute, another step....etc. How fun. It took about half an hour to get from the TP to the deer... or whatever creature that building is meant to be. Now there's not much to say about New Oxford. Apart from my initial thoughts of "expensive" and "laggy". Luckily now the city's been abandoned (seemingly so) the lag is no longer an issue.

After exploring and realising the deer was a bit empty inside, I decided to take a look at the gallery where I happened to bump into Blackchicken. Later I saw mrproper chatting...even though I couldn't see him. Oh well. I just thought it was nice that the people in this forum actually exist in game. Stupid thing to say, yes. But given the amount of people in this forum, I've yet to see 99.9% of people here in-game. Maybe I'm just blind. Or stupid. Or maybe my bald woman avatar just scares people away. Who knows...

I then decided to check out the new land area North of NO. I also took some en-matter probes with me just for kicks. I've never really given mining a chance, so I thought with 10PED of probes I could try my luck. So on my way to the LA, I dropped probes here and there. The result of 10 probes was kind of suprising. I eneded up with 617 oil, 86 Alicenies liquid, 14 Typonolic gas and 4 Magerian mist. Sold later for a total of around 12 PED. What can I say? I'm a natural born miner! ;)

Finally I reach the new LA. Where I must have spent close to 150PED ammo. I must say it's becoming my most favourite hunting ground since I nearly broke even. Either I'm really lucky or the loot system takes into account if you've deposited recently. I ended up with silly amounts of hide which I later TT'd.... a dumb mistake on my part, since I never knew they went for like 180%. Oh well. Live and learn.

And finally I decided on buying an A-104 and a EMT 2300 (if you read my other thread). I know it's not as good as a 2350, but this one was more within my price range. Even though it decays pretty quick, it has saved my ass a few times already. That's two less items off my shopping list which I made.

Arokh's remaining items to get:
-Vigi harness (F)
-2A plates
-A cheapass laser (yep...as cheap as I can possibly get one).

Some may say I have some....spare PEDs to have fun with. ;)

Time to update this.

I decided to go on a little buying spree. I'm one of these people who enjoys spending a few PED's here and there on at least vaguely useful items - even if they may not be 100% essential. I do realise it's a little inefficient, but as I've said before, I'm here to have fun. But I'm not careless - I do take into consideration advice and such I read on this forum.

Anyway...

I couldn't find a Vigi harness for my avatar. I looked on the auction, and the only harness (F) available was for 110PED. Figuring this was a little too expensive, I bought a Nemesis harness instead for around 250PED. :D I've heard a lot of good things about this armour, and combined with my 3A plates, it now has impact protection of 20, and some other stats such as burn and penetration (I think) are now up to 16. Do I need that amount of protection? Most likely not. But now I can sit back, knowing I no longer have to upgrade my armour for at least a year, since my current set should provide adequate protection for now - MUCH more than my Rascal armour used to do. Now I can take on much tougher mobs, which I must say are a lot more fun! At some point I shall brave the realms of the PvP areas...purely out of interest.

I also ended up buying a Lesser Teleport Chip. I'm sick of getting stuck at outposts and having to ask for help or spending ages trying to get out myself. Instead I can now TP out of there. I HIGHLY recommend getting one of these chips, since it's proved to be most useful. I just wish I had bought one earlier.

Buying it was the simple part. Figuring out how to use it was another matter. I implanted the mindforce chip as you're supposed to, and then tried to implant the Teleport chip. To my utter confusion, it wouldn't implant. Figuring it may be a glitch, I removed the TT mindforce chip and then tried to insert it and the TP chip both at the same time. What a waste of PEDs. The inserter decayed around 8PED for three uses.

But my saviour was an avatar called Wizz, who informed me you need to place the chip in the quickbar in order to use it (thanks!). Hurrah! I now could teleport! In my eagerness I decided to test it out, and just teleported to a random location within the chips 800m range. Big mistake.

I rematerialised in the middle of the largest group of mobs I've ever seen! Before I could work out what was going on, I was attacked by:
2 Drone Generation 2's
4 Atrax Mature - Olds
2 Merps (didn't see the maturity)
Now I tried to TP away from the location, but forgot mindforce concentration can be interrupted by attacks. So while I was there trying to focus, the above enemies weren't being exactly...too friendly. Needless to say I died.

I revived at an outpost where I decided to use my TP chip to get to Billy's. Why? Well it really was a combination of laziness and my eagerness to use my newly acquired hardware. Just my luck. Yet again I land in a herd of mobs - this time mainly being Berycleds. Now for those of you who don't know, I utterly detest these mobs. They're overly agressive, annoying to kill and rip armour to shreds. Unable to teleport, I took out the Marber I purchased last week and blasted the little birds to high heaven. Well...when I actually hit them that is. It payed off. Out of two Bery's, I made about 10PED and some nice items. As I was about to TP, my friend (who had been watching me play for the last five minutes) pointed to one of the Cornundo's that was wandering nearby. "Shoot the fat thing!" he said, obviously finding the animals physiology amusing.

I figured I may as well, since it was only a young and I had my weapon out anyway. I am GLAD I did that! I looted 4 PED, 69PEC, some wood...and a FAP 50!

Normally I would be extatic...but I was more bitter than anything. Remember I was considering buying either a FAP50 or EMT2300? No less than a week after spending 75PED on the EMT, I loot a FAP50. How's that for timing? On the bright side I now have both. But for some reason I seem to be a FAP magnet recently. I've also looted a FAP5 and FAP10 over the weekend. Those both came from when I was hunting Argo's North of Twin. Also in that area I looted a FreanD Alpha BLP pistol... not long after I purchased a Maddox 1, just to see what BLP weapons were like. WHY is MindArk mocking me like this? As soon as I buy an item, I loot a similar one!

But hey - life isn't fair. But at least I have some good loot for once!

But I'm fed up of hunting alone for now. I really want to do some team hunting... perhaps with some people from this forum. The reason partly being I at least want to get to know some more people here in EU. SoO if you see me in game, or feel like a hunt let me know. :silly2:

Another update!

The exclamation mark was an attempt to make a punchy and exciting beginning... as you can tell, I'm not feeling particularly inventive.

Through a bizarre series of events from the last entry, I ened up at the outpost East of PvP zone 1. In case you're not familiar with that area, it's the outpost East of Orthos West Mound. If you still don't know where that is... just take a look at the map!

There was a reason for this. I intended to have a go at PvP. Sure, I probably would have a quick trip back to the revival terminal, but the aim of this was to experience proper combat - rather than being shot in the back, or whilst I was mining. Experience. That's what counts right? So I activated my TP chip and teleported into the PvP zone. Now I seem to be cursed with this TP chip. I rematerialised right in front of a Warrior Generation 4. Before I could even figure out what was going on, I ended back up at the revival terminal.

Slightly miffed, I TP'd back into the zone, this time in a reasonably clear area, just south of a forest. "Great!" I thought, pulling out the amped Marber. "I can finally get some action!". I spent an hour or two wandering about PvP 1, with not ONE green dot on the radar. Why is it that when you LOOK for a fight, you don't come across anyone? And why is it when you want to be left alone, do you meet a bunch of PvPers? Ah well, life isn't fair. Entropia Universe even less so.

I decided I'd had enough and rather than waste some Mind Essence on another TP, I stripped off my armour and charged at an Atrox Provider in nothing but my underwear. Probably shocked at a bald woman running at him in nothing but underwear, the Atrox bit me. Repeatedly. The plan worked, and I ended up back at the outpost. I put my armour back on and bought 200PEDs of medium weapon cells and began the journey to Orthos. I would have TP'd, but I thought I may as well hunt my way there - you never know. I may be lucky and get a global.

Some time later I was in a large open area, filled with Atrax and Molisks. I could cope with them quite well (suprisingly). There in the middle of the fighting, I met Doer and SKULL. SKULL in particular I am most thankful to, since he healed me when he saw me in a little trouble. Thank you! :D I was against a Molisk Guardian, a Molisk Adult and an Atrax Mature. I was steadily killing them, fapping as I needed. But to my dismay, my healing wasn't as good as their attacks, and my health kept steadily falling... Thankfully SKULL healed me enough to let me finish the mobs off. Nice to see helpful people in EU!

IN the end I didn't get a gobal. IN fact by the time I reached Orthos, I was 70PEDs down. *sigh* Oh well. I got skills.

I've also been hunting with Enska, trying to hunt the higher level Daikibas North of Twin Peaks. We were doing pretty well - (ignoring the fact that we had quite a few no loots). Until that is we found a Daikiba Stalker. "Ha!" I thought. "It's only a Daikiba! How difficult can it be?" So in my ignorance, I shot it with my Marber. To my dismay its health bar hardly moved. Even though I did 108 damage (yes, the Marbers amped), it had little effect. To cut a long story short, I was killed pretty fast. As was Enska. But that didn't deter us! We'd wasted ammo on the Stalker, and decided to finish the job. After several visits to the revival terminal, we finally killed it. I ran up to claim my prize!

22PEC and a blue paint can.

I really didn't know what to say, or what to think. After all the effort, all we got was that. Even so, I felt confident the higher level mobs would hand out good loots. So we decided to take on a Daikiba Prowler. The story is pretty much the same. I think the people in Twin Peaks got sick of seeing me respawn. But nonetheless, we killed the Prowler! And our reward? No loot. It's safe to assume this left me rather bitter, and in annoyance, we went on to kill the weaker Daikibas (Dominant and Guardian). We killed them fairly easily...but still, very poor loot. In the end, we lost quite a few PED. But we got skills right? Wrong. Skills for me at least were few and far between. I'd prefer either loots from mobs, OR skills. Or even both. Not 'No Loot' and 'No Skills'. Bah!

Anyway, after that event I decied to log out. Only to log back in the next day and go hunt elsewhere.

Recently I decided to go Cornundacauda hunting, so I headed North from Camp Caravan. Sadly I never got to hunt any Corns, since I got distracted in hunting Prancers - from young up to Dominant/Guardian. It's one of the better hunts I've been on. Pretty much every kill had loot between 2PED and 6PED. It was amazing! At the end of about 100PED of ammo, I had about 40-50PED profit! That's after paying for decay and ammo. But the reason I stopped hunting was because I kept getting something yellow and disappointing. The "This creature didn't carry any loot" message. The money in the area had dried up completely, and it was evident I'd onyl start making losses from then on. And that's just about where I logged out last time.

 "Another entry already?" I bet you're thinking. Yes, that's right. I have nothing better to do right now, and as intended I'm keeping track of my PE progress in a diary.

Continued from my last entry, I eventually ended up at Zeus. Along the way I hunted some Cornundacaudas, and NEARLY got a global. A TT value of 49.82PED. In that loot I got an A-103, a Kobold face mask (M), a Cornundacauda horn, some PED and some PEC's. It was marginally annoying to be 18PEC off getting the trumpets and glowing lights. But hey - any loot is good! Quite lucky really, since I've been meaning to lay my hands on another amplifier. As for the Kobold mask... I was considering TTing it, but I decided to check auction first to see if there was a better deal. Sadly I couldn't find one on auction, so for now the mask remains in my inventory. It'd be a shame to TT it, since I rather someone could make some use of it. Hence I'm putting up the offer here - if you want a Kobold face mask (M) with a current TT price around 13PED, feel free to PM me with your offers. If there's no interest, I'll stick it on auction.

I decided to check my skills whilst hanging around Zeus, since I haven't checked them for ages. The most notable thing about my skills is that I have tons of evade skills, simply due to the fact that since I started playing, I have hunted mobs that deal close combat damage. So my evades built up quite nicely. However, my dodge skill was a pitiful, since I've rarely fought any 'projectile' enemies. Deciding this would not do, I went in search of some robots. I thought by hunting them I'll build up my dodge, whilst in the meantime getting some rifle and other associated hunting skills. Plus there's also the remote possibility of loot.

But where to hunt? I remember when I attempted to get to the rig when I first started the game that there were some bots hanging near the PvP zone. So I repaired my weapons and armour, bought 250PEDs of ammo and TP'd to Nymphtown. Now from here I used my TP chip to get to the north area of the PvP zone in my utter laziness. I hate to admit it, but I'm addicted to that chip. I originally bought it to save me from outposts, but instead I'm using it more often than I really should. Never mind - I'm getting intelligence and psychotropy skills off it anyway. As I rematerialised, I had to make a decision - were the bots East or West of the PvP zone? Luckily one of my soc mates pointed out it was West, so I began on my long journey. I mean Eudoria's so large... I'd hate to start running off in the wrong direction!

I ended up in the grey area West of the Oil Rig PvP zone. There I met all kinds of drones, from Generation 01 up to Generation 04 / 05. I also noticed a few Warriors, but remembering my past experiences with them, I decided to avoid as many of them as possible. Now hunting in this area wasn't too bad. I discovered I could handle up to a Drone Generation 05 and just about a Warrior Gen 01. So I settled in for a few hours of bot hunting. Good choice, since I got a LOAD of dodge skills, not to mention reasonable loot. Hurrah!

However the temptation of the PvP area proved too strong. I had about 70PED ammo left, and I thought since I failed to find ANYONE in PvP1, perhaps this time I may be lucky. Equipping the Marber with an A104, and my EP-40 with an A-103, I ran into the PvP zone. The rules were simple:

->Attack ANY green dot on the radar, whether they be in full Shadow armour weilding a DOA Loudmouth or just in an orange jumpsuit trying to get free oil.
->Get well dug into a position for cover and use the Marber as a sniper rifle. Then once in range, charge at the target with the EP-40. It was all good... in theory.

I hung around the South West area near the battle remains, and in no less than five minutes a green dot appeared. I quickly selected the Marber by pressing 1 on the keyboard. Now at this point I couldn't see what player it was, since there was a hill between me and the other player. So I kept hidden behind some wrecked vehicles to shield myself from any potential shots that may come my way. Plus in the way I was positioned, it was nigh on impossible to tell where I was - even with the radar. As the green dot came in range, I zoomed out into the 3rd person mode and took a look at my opponent.

A (seemingly) new orange jumpsuited player wearing Settler shins and face mask.

I zoomed in with the scope, ready to fire. But for some reason I lowered the weapon, and simply typed "Hello. :)" into the chat. As much as I wanted a fight, I just could not bring myself to shoot this guy. Don't get me wrong. I'm no pansy. I play a LOT of first person shooter games, and I never hesitate like I did here. Get me on a game like TimeSplitters, Call Of Duty 2 or Red Faction, I'll kill anything that moves without a second thought. Even teammates if they get in my way. >_>

Wondering what was wrong with me, I hid in my sniping position ready for my next target. I didn't have to wait long. Within a few minutes, another green dot appeared on the radar. This time another orange jumpsuiter but this time lacking in the armour department. Yet again I just didn't shoot.

Why didn't I kill them? I could have been mean and sent them back to the RT. But the question remains... WHY? I'd feel excessively mean for a start - especially since they really wouldn't have much of a chance (especially with no armour or gun). Plus there's the fact that I was once trying to do the exact same thing. When I was in their shoes, everytime I saw a green dot on the radar whilst going to the rig, I'd panic and try to run away. More often than not I was killed (even though I posed no threat) and I really didn't find it much fun. So I figured these guys had enough grief trying to get to the rig, and the last thing they needed was someone like me killing them off.

Sometimes I hate being the good guy.

And you know what I got after my "moral" choice? A visit from an Atrox Old Alpha, which killed me pretty quick. Is this the way karma is supposed to work? Sure...

But my PvP experience failed again thanks to something called 'morality'. Trust me, if they weren't newbies, I would have shot. I just didn't see any point, nor any fun in PKing them. Even though I could have done... but hey - for all I know, one of them may have been carrying an uber-weapon. Now that would have been interesting! After all, you can't judge a book by it's cover.

Being too nice. That's my problem.

I keep hearing about PvP and how much fun it apparently is. I want to experience proper PKing, just so I can see what it's like in a fight. Whether I win or lose is not important. All I want is a small slice of the PvP pie. Hence I will continue on my endeavor to find a battle...

Okay I'm splitting this entry into two parts: Life and EU. It's not something I'd normally do, since I intend to keep this pretty much EU focussed. But occasionally there MAY be exceptions.

->Life

I will not be playing EU for a while. No, I'm not quitting. No, I'm not taking a break because loots are bad or I'm spending too much. I'm going on holiday for just over a week. Why am I letting you know this? Well I'm quite often online, so I'm just letting people know I haven't quit / disappeared or anything. Not that my absence would make much of a difference anyway. If any.

In case you're wondering, I'm off to Huntsville in Alabama. "Odd place for a holiday." you're probably wondering. But not really. I'm going there for a specific reason - I'm attending the three day Rocket City Fur Meet that happens there every year. Should be fun - especially since I'll be meeting several people I know online. It'll be my first furry convention, so I'm nopt quite sure what to expect. I just hope it'll be worth the 18 hour international flight.

I got bored of hanging around the Oil Rig PvP area - no one seems to come. I waited for nearly half an hour, but nothing. At times like that I wonder what may be going on. Is anyone actually AT the rig right now? Or is no one attempting to get there today? Either way, I got bored and decided that I should move on.

I headed West towards that outpost East of Twin. To avoid as amany mobs as possible, I headed West along the coastline and then decided to head North once I was right beneath the outpost on my map. Now I thought the journey would be easy at first.... and I was right. All along the coast, the only thing that bothered me was a Tantillion Young - obviously feeling brave enough to attack. After I introdiced it to the Marber, I went North where my problems began.

A line of spiders, far too close to run between. I've never seen the things spawn so close together, and frankly the only realistic method of getting past them was to make a collossal detour. Or suddenly become uber-uber and fight my way through. After standing around and reaslising the latter wasn't going to happen, I decided to use my TP chip. Within seconds, I was 800m from my position and much closer to the outpost. But I SWEAR that chip is cursed. I appeared into a large mass of Tantillions. It was like a scene from Half Life - loads of little face crab lookalikes leaping up at me and nipping my ankles. Luckily I managed to keep them at bay, but it took at least 15 minutes to kill off the last of them. To be honest I'm suprised I didn't die. Seriously - the inner circles of my map was practically a big red blob.

I finally made it to the outpost where I re-stocked with ammo and made a few repairs. I then headed West to Twin...which wasn't too peaceful. I appeared to be some sort of Atrax magnet. More precisely a 'No Loot' Atrax magnet. It's annoying after you kill quite a few creatures and get nothing. But hey - it's part of the game. You can't always win. Nonetheless I made it to Twin and decided to TP to East Scylla to go and hunt some Corns.

There I met a reasonably new player named Beem (I think....), who after a discussion I offered to escort him to Twin. It wasn't too bad a journey, since we were only attacked by a few Corns and... that mob that looks like a rhino, but with only two legs. Cauterger... a... something? Not sure of it's name. But those caused little problem, and eventually Twins was back in sight.

We couldn't enter the city. The lag was so bad it KILLED my computer. After getting no more than 1FPS, it hung for several minutes and then the game crashed to desktop where I was presented with the blue screen of death. So after a re-start, I logged back in. Turns out the outher guy couldn't handle the lag either, so instead I offered to take him to the Jason Centre. So back we headed.

I was like a yoyo going up and down this same bit of land. But at least this time I wouldn't end up back at East Scylla. We headed North West towards the JC, where we hunted a few low level mobs along the way. Heh. One poor Snable felt the full force of the amped Marber - a critical hit at 205 points of damage. That lot wasn't bad. I got some pixie armour, skins, PED and an EP-11. The latter of which I handed over to Beem. I had no use for it and frankly I normally would have just TT'd it. Hopefully he'll make some use of that pistol.

Finally we reached the Jason Centre, where my computer decided to slow down yet again. Cue another re-start. At that point I figured that it was getting rather late, so I decided just to browse these forums before logging off for the night.

That's about it for this entry.

Okay, if you couldn't tell I made it back safely from holiday. So for the last time in a while, I'll split this entry into two parts: life and EU. So if you're not interested in a few short paragraphs about my first trip to the US, you can easily skip the section. And hopefully this post will be much better typed than the last one - I just skimmed over it and you could tell it was typed at 1AM. My spelling was awful!

->Life

I hated the 18 hour trip there - I had to take four separate flights to get to Huntsville because I was cheap enough to decide to go indirectly. Only to save £50. The longest flight was 9 hours 45 minutes, which was HELL! TWO screaming little brats in the cabin. I say that because the parents were making absolutely no effort to calm them down. One was running riot up and down the isles, and the one sat next to me kept screaming, crying and puking. I ended up spending most of the flight trying to hide in the aircraft toilet to get some peace! I've been scarred enough not to fly NorthWest Airlines again.

Had a great time in the US - temperatures of 105 Farenheit. Rather than spend several paragraphs describing my time, I can simply refer you to a website that has some of my holiday snaps on it - just so you can see what I got up to. http://nicksholidaysnaps.tripod.com/pics

Oh, and you'll notice I have a new signature and avatar for the forum. The black dragon wasn't done by me, but by a talented artist at the convention I went to. So for $5 she did a sketch of me (I'm not explaining here...) as part of a name tag that we had to wear at the con. I simply nabbed some nice orange background from Google Images, placed some fancy text with my screen name on it and then placed the dragon pic on it. Turned out quite nice! :D Although it's a bit odd in this forum... usually I'm associated with the name Raketh. So it's a bit odd with the change of screen names and all.

->EU

First day back I logged into Entropia. Sure, I could have done with some sleep, but I figured I'd missed EU too long. For some reason I did not recognise the last place I logged out at - I was East Scylla, and I SWORE I was at the Jason Centre. Oh well, I figure it may be something to do with the update.

First thing I did was check my skills, since I often do that to see which areas need attention. One thing caught my eye - I'm STILL a disciple, even though I passed 2000 rifle a LONG time ago. From what I gather my mentor Taxita hasn't logged on in ages and one can only assume shes quit. Apparently your mentor has to accept the mentor gift before you're freed from discipleship. Sadly that never going to happen since she's never going to log on. Bah! I can see it now! Twenty years down the line, I'll be something like 'Entropia Master' and still be a disciple! Bah!

Anyway, deciding my Dodge skill needed some work, I headed off the the valley East of the Jason Centre to hunt some bots. As it stands, my avatar probably couldn't dodge... I dunno... a frisbee. It's awful. Luckily my armour protects pretty well against laser fire, and so I was in no particular rush to kill the Drones with the amped Opalo. I hunted there for a few hours, but the loots were terrible. I spent about 70PED in ammo, and got back about 30PED and 15PED or so Gazzurite stones. I figured it was better than nothing - plus I got a good few Dodge skills. Not as many as I'd hoped, but still any skills are welcome.

I remembered how people were always saying Argo's looted well. With my current bad streak with the bots I figured I may as well try my luck with the Argos. I headed South towards Twin Peaks, passing through the Argo territory. My first thought was "o_O"

What has MA DONE? Practically ALL the Argo's are youngs, with the rare Scout and occasional Adult. Lots of youngs and lack of adults? It reminded me of my plane trip to the US! Argh! But in any case I began the hunt. I must say it was a worthwhile decision, since the loots were fantastic! Each kill got me between 2 to 6PED, and I got hold of several items as well:

->FAP-5
->FreanD Alpha Pistol
->Knight Thighs (F)
->Argonaut Hide
->Argonaut Skull
->249 Iron Stone

And then before I knew it, there were trumpets and lights. Hurrah! My second ever global! At least this time I didn't fall off my chair like I did last time. It was only a small one - around the 80PED mark. I got the following items:

->Paladin Face Mask (M)
->Knight Thighs (F)
->Umber paint (6 cans)
->36PED
->86PEC.

Heh, it made my day to say the least. But sadly I couldn't hunt much more due to low ammo, so with the 4K remaining, I hunted my way back to Twin Peaks. Oh... oh the lag fest! Twin is fast becoming the second Port Atlantis. I take one step, freeze for a few minutes, then take another step. It took me nearly half an hour to get to the teleporter! I don't know how people can stand to be there. The lag must drive them nuts! I jsut hoped I could judder my way out of there before my computer gave up completely. You see my computer has this attitude - if it's too hard, give up and display a blue screen. It happens when the lag gets too heavy for the system to cope with, or there's a lot going on at once. Luckily I made it out of Twin before anything happened.

I ended up at Zeus, where I went to the TT and sold most of my useless items. I saved the iron stone, since it's worth a little more than TT price. So herer's the offer: If you want 31PEDs worth of Iron Stone, let me know! I'll gladly sell it to you... it's weighing me down!

That's about it for now.

First things first:

===========WANTED!===========

I'm looking to get hold of some Dragon Armour (F). I currently have in my posession the face mask and shins. However if anyone reading this thread has or knows of someone who has the:

-Arm guards (F)
-Thigh guards (F)
-Harness (F)
-Gloves (F)

...then PLEASE contact me either here via PM or in-game. I'm trying to get my own full set of this armour, and I'm trying my best to get hold of the parts I need. Condition is NOT an issue. Whether it's fully repaired or unuseable, I don't mind. I was hoping it would be easier to find than this... but life's never easy is it? So...yeah, if you see any Dragon Armour (F) around, you know who to contact. ;)

=============================

Anyway, I decided to go on my very first PROPER Atrox hunt yesterday. I've been able to hunt them for a while now, and most of the time I only kill them if they get in my way. But I decided to make this an Atrox only hunt. I teleported to Cape Corinth and headed South to find some Atrox roaming the beach. As it stands my hunting equipment is as follows:

-Nemesis harness and the rest Vigi parts, all plated with 2A.
-Marber Bravo + 2X Laser sights and Alekz scope (Tagging... I need the lasers and such to increase accuracy)
-Punisher Mk2 + A-104 (Main weapon)
-Opalo + A-103 ('Finishing' gun)
-EWE-Ep-40 Mercenary + A-103(Emergency gun)
-EMT-2300, FAP-50, FAP-10

It's a reasonable set up that I've found allows me to take on a wide range of mobs. Now I've never tested this properly on an Atrox hunt, so I was quite curious as to how everything stood up against them. First mob I came across was an Atrox Young. I tagged it with the Marber and managed to take a significant portion of its health off. As it closed in, I switched to the Punisher... and that's when the fun started.

I didn't mention that all along the beach are those pesky Sabakumas that seem to spawn in annoyingly large numbers. They also seem to attack at the wrong moment. As I tagged this Atrox, several of these Sabakumas ran (or crawled rather...) towards me. I LOVE it on a hunt when I get swarmed from all directions! For some reason it reminded me of the film Alien. Loads of creatures on my radar heading towards my location at a rather alarming pace. Firing left and right I managed to take them out just as they reached me. Within a few seconds, the beach was littered with Sabakuma carcasses... and by that time the Atox was upon me.

You take 1.0 points of damage.

:D

Hurrah! Not as bad as I had expected. With all the Saba's killed off, I turned my attention to the Atrox. It went down suprisingly fast, and I began to wonder how I ever found these creatures so hard when I first started! Loot was pretty good too - 9PED, 6 Atrox Skin and 1 piece of timber of some sort.

The next thing on my radar was a Longu Mature. I've NEVER hunted Longu on my own before, and in sheer experimentation I shot it in the face with the Marber. It didn't do as much damage as I'd hoped, so I edged backwards and fired again. By the time it was upon me I'd annoyed it sufficiently to take a swipe at me. 10 points of damage. Realising the Marber wasn't a good idea at this point, I finished it off with the Punisher. Happy I killed my first ever Longu solo, I went to claim the prize...

This creature carried no loot. :duh:

Just to rub it in, MA sent another Sabakuma to take a bit out of me, with an amazing 1.0 point of damage. I Marbered it out of pure spite. No loot.

And so the Atrox hunt continued. I found out on the rest of the Atrox that I can easily handle up to Atrox Provider (bearing in mind that one Provider was the only one I found in the whole hunt), and I can take up to Longu Old comfortably. I have yet to find higher maturities of these creatures, but frankly I don't want to jump to far yet. There is no reason to over-hunt, when I'm happy with this current range of creatures.

On a side note I encountered two kinds of new mob I've never seen before. I found something called a Mourner Old. I shot it out of curiosity, and I found it wasn't too bad at all! 5PED and some body fat. It's the first and only creature of that type I've found yet. Also as I was fighting an Atrox, I managed to back into something called an Itumiatrox (sp?) which looked like a giant pillar with eight legs. Very odd creature indeed. Nonetheless it killed me incredibly fast. One critical hit and it sent me back to the revival terminal. I was pretty low on ammo at that point, so I guess all was not lost.

Al in all, I came out of that hunt with 167PED and some items, and I went out with 100PED ammo. Shame my armour decayed quite a bit, and I went through just under two Amps. But I was VERY close to break even. I think I'll be hunting there again.

I also wandered over to Port Atlantis the lag city to sell some of my items that I'd looted. What a shock I got as I went to the Service Centre to check auctions:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Two girls inevitably having a 'dirty' time. I've seen it all now. lol It's odd how fascinated everyone was. A lot of people were stood watching this, and I've yet to understand what was so captivating about it!

Finally I TP'd to the Jason Centre to go and hunt some bots (Dodge skill...) where I met Donald who introduced me to his pet Raffy. No doubt he'll cover everything in his diary at some point, so I don't think there's any need to cover it here. Besides, I'm not particularly skilled at writing. ;)

As for the bots.... that hunt wasn't so good. I came out with less than 20% return, with several more dodge skills. I guess it wasn't a total loss, but after the fun Atrox hunt, it was a bit of a downer. I guess I'll be sticking with Atrox for now...

I had spotted some Dragon Shin Guards on auction, and so two hours before the auction was to end, I logged into EU. To my suprise, someone had actually bidded against me. Hmm. Odd. Someone bids on the armour soon after I mention I'm looking for some... coincidence? Perhaps. Nonetheless, I outbidded them, paying 15PED for the shins. Happy my bid was placed, I went to the TT and kitted up for my hunt - intended target: Armax cows.

No more than five minutes after walking out of Troy, the little auction hammer icon appeared on my screen. Outbidded again!

Now I began to hatch a plan, which would be considered mean... but desparate times call for desparate measures. I wrote down the name of the avatar bidding against me and went on a search. I went to every auctioneer on Eudoria to find this player, but to no avail. The only possibility was that she was bidding somewhere in Amethera. Excellent! My plan could theoretically work! :vampire:

The plan was this: Find her, and in the last few seconds of auction, PK her then bid. By the time she revived and got back to the auctioneer, I'd have won.

But here was the flaw in my plan. Pking has been turned off in the revival areas and auctions on Amethera. You see... I forgot about how MA had changed this and I only realised when I came across (who seemingly was) my rival bidder in one of the auctions. I noticed my little icon on the bottom of the screen was still green, and in utter despair I decided to shoot her in the back with my GDC-97 anyway. It was a waste of ammo, but it made me feel a little better. Slightly peeved my plan didn't work, I headed for Wolverine Hope - the least laggy place I know that has an auctioneer. That's when I hatched my second plan.

The new plan: Wait until the last second then auction-snipe her with a rediculous bid.

I stood in Wolverine Hope for the last half hour, intent on not being beaten. Finally, after a lot of refreshing, the auction displayed there was one minute left. I started a stopwatch I had next to me, and on the 15 second mark, placed a bid of 21PED. :D

Then the little hammer icon appeared on my screen! Yes! I had....

"You have been outbidded. Your 21PEDs have been returned"

There is no emotion or posture in EU of "Howl and cry in despair!". Instead I just typed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" into the chat and jumped around the auction house in my utter frustration. The sheer irony was that she'd used my own plan, and auction-sniped me... for 22PED! So, no Dragon Shin Guards.

That's when I reduced myself to street buying - something I HATE doing. Mainly because it's laggy in the market places, and you get a lot of people coming up to you trying to sell stuff you don't want. Nonetheless, I appeared in Port Atlantis, offering to buy some armour. Within seconds a guy wearing nothing but underpants and grasping an ore-refiner cme up to me. Apparently he had several Dragon Armour parts. Upon my simple question "Which parts?" he ran off, never to be seen again.

There really are some strange people in EU.

My PA trip failed, so I went to the next laggiest place I knew - Twin Peaks. Again, with seconds of asking for Dragon Armour, a female in an orange jumpsuit comes up and trades with me. A little skeptical that she may have parts, I agreed to the trade anyway. I was proven wrong, as to my utter delight she placed the arm guards and gloves into the trade window. Seriously, I was so happy I just wished there was a hug emotion in EU! Finally we agreed a price of TT+30, and thats when I noticed I had less than 1PED in my PED card. You see my money is generally tied up in 400PED's worth ammo. So for the first time in EU, I payed for my armour with ammo.

But now, I own the face mask, arm guards and gloves. I'd have the shins too if it wasn't for some jammy so and so on the auction!

After the trade I decided to go an a little hunt South of Fort Ares. I've never really hunted in that area before, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. After all, don't you agree it's better to go to 'unknown' places and see what's there? In case you're interested:

-Cornundacuada (mature, old)
-Atrax (young, mature, old)
-Faucervix (young - provider)
-Caudatergus (young - old)
-Merps (young, mature)

Atax were paying well. I was getting between 3 to 7PED off them. One Cornundacauda handed me 9PED, so it was a pretty good run. 50PED ammo spent, I had earned about 70PED back. To the south of my position was a dense forest and being the inquisative person I am, I decided to explore. Oh my! Within seconds I was swarmed:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

That's just the beginning. ALL those creatures charged me at once, making me receive several points of damage in one go. No you see the radar? All those were Merps. As the fight dragged on, more and more of them ran to investigate the fuss. I kill one Merp, two more would appear. It only ended when I finally cleared that whole area of red dots.

The loot sucked though. Most I got was just over 1PED from a Merp Mature. Oh well, I got a load of skills from that, and I must admit it was fun. I've said it before and I'll say it again - being swarmed in battle is FUN! Adds a thrill when no matter how many you pick off, more enemies keep coming!

And no, I didn't die in all that. I walked out of that fight very much alive, smug in the knowledge I'd decimated the local Merp population.

Following a short PM session with Status in-game, I was finally persuaded to take a trip up to CND. I've always been slightly cautious about going up there since I'd have to pay 20PEDs up and 20PEDs down. It's going into the unknown you see, and I figure that if I'm spending 40PED on a trip, it should be worth it. But I finally cracked, and went in search of a pilot.

In Twin Peaks, I came a cross a pilot called Patrick Pole Hide whom was quickly gathering together a bunch of people to take up. Upon his request I teleported to Corinth and awaited the rest of the travellers. A short while later a guy called Pro arrived. Now we had to wait for some others to come. Apparently there was a third person, but for some reason did not arrive, even though they'd supposedly asked Pole for a ride. Pfft. Timewasters.

At this point I was getting a bit impatient, mainly because my local time at this point was 3.20AM. I'd been up since 7AM that day, and as you can imagine I really wanted to go to bed. Eventually Pro cracked and bought out the remaining seat as well, just so we could go.

Soon after Pole arrived and we set off for the hangar. Oh what a farce that was! LOL. Pole arrived at his hangar whilst me and Pro were wandering around Corinth beach trying to find the hangar. He was following me, the most incompitent mapreader you can imagine. I managed to make us blunder into an Atrox herd, Longu and nearly an Itumitrox as I got us lost in the forest part below Corinth Beach. I think we even went in a circle at some point. By sheer luck we came across a yellow dot on the radar - we had found the hangar. Just. I tell you, I can't read a map - even with co-ordinates!

After paying my fare, I decided to take the front seat. :D

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Everyone takes that shot at some point don't they? Within seconds I was on CND. I logged out there, since by this time it was just after 4AM, and without any energy drinks left, I was about to collapse and fall asleep on the keyboard.

I logged in again the next day on hangar level one, and decided to check out the domes. I'm not listing what was in every dome, but for some reason the domes are not in logical order. No, I'm not questioning NEVERDIE but in my opinion, Dome 1 should have the easiest mobs, and Dome 20 the hardest, mob hardness increasing with dome number. But no. Ambulimax are in Dome 1 and Daikiba youngs are in something like Dome 5. It seemed to me utter pot luck to which enemies you'd find in each dome. Frankly I thought it would be more logical doing it in 'difficulty' order. But hey - it's not my club.

In one dome I came across a really wierd mob called a Caperon (sp?) which looked like a squashed ball on top of five very long spindly legs. I was intrigued, I must say. So before I ran into combat I asked my fellow soc members what this thing was. Chat went something like this:

[Arokh] Has anyone here ever fought a Caperon? Like, what damage do they do?
[Sky] no idea
[Duck] Not sure
[Arokh] Hmm....

*fires Marber*
You did 78.0 points of damage.
[Enska] Youngs have 1300HP, just over 80 damage. I wouldn't shoot if I were you.
[Arokh] o_O
[Enska] And they're fast.
[Duck] Run!

Critical hit - you take 132 points of damage!

You have been revived.

[Arokh] Thanks. I just found that out. >_>
[Enska] You shot it... didn't you?
[Arokh] :D Maybe.

Yep, it critical hit me, and before I knew it I was sent back to the control room. Before my screen even faded in, I heard the 'heal' sound and I was soon back to full health. Deadeye had mindforce-healed me, of which I thanked him for. Mind you, it wasn't the last time he did that. Every time I found a new uber-mob and died he healed me. As did Sob at one point as well. Thank you! :D

I also came across a large purple thing called a Daspelator. I shot it with my Opalo, which resulted in me being sent back to the revival terminal. I'm pretty sure people got sick of seeing me revive. Mind you, I did find a nice Atrax dome, where I found out I can easily take on an Atrax Alpha. In fact at one point I was swarmed due to the mobs spawning in. I'd just finished off an Alpha, when two Guardians, a provider and an Old Atrax attacked. After killing the two Guardians, another Alpha ran in. It was a serious swamping of high-level Atrax, but amazingly I pulled through. My reward after about 12 Atrax? Just over 1 PED. >_>

I also found out loot SUCKS at CND. Seriously. I've NEVER had such bad loot in all the time I've played Entropia. 100PED ammo, I'd count myself seriously lucky if I got 5 to 10PED back. Practically every creature had no loot, and the ones that did had a few PEC's. It was so disappointing and frankly has put a rather large dampener on the whole CND experience. I guess it's just a day of REALLY bad luck, but if it continues I really can't afford to stay up there. But loot is controlled by MA, and from reading threads in this forum loot is like this everywhere right now. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. Guess I may as well wnader around and explore for now - 'ride out the storm' as if it were.

I've still got a lot of CND to explore. So far I've seen the control room, the docking bay and some of the domes. I really haven't explored yet... which I really should do. At the moment CND is practically empty - or it seems like it. There's not that many people around, but I guess if I haven't explored I will not know if there's busier areas. I hope there is, so if anyone can show me to a busy area, I'd be most appreciative.

Finally: BUYING Dragon Harness, Shin Guards, Thigh Guards (all F). Yes, another desparate plea for this armour. Hopefully someone reading this may have some. I will not give up in my persuit of this armour!

The main reason for this entry is that I have finally come down from being up at Club NEVERDIE. I had some fun up there, but to enjoy it fully I think I will have to skill a little more so I can take on the much larger creatures. I flew up there and ended up fighting Exaro Stalkers, Merps and Atrox - all of which can be found on Eudoria / Amethera. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy my time up there. Hopefully next time I will be able to have a go at taking on those Caperons or heaven forbid... those Daspelators.

After paying a good 15PED fee, I arrived back at Cape Corinth and made my way to the Teleporter. However before doing so I had a look at the auction for any good deals. More importantly I was looking to see if any more Dragon Armour had come onto the market. Sadly none had... yet, so instead I decided to buy an apartment.

Yes, I'm an now a very happy owner of my own piece of virtual property at the market price of 350PED. Yes, that's not a typo (for once  ) it did cost 350PED. The reason was that I was adament about getting an apartment with a balcony so I can actually have a view. I find the normal apartments are a little rubbish, since even with a large window, you cannot see anything out of it. So I forked out an extra 100PED to get the balcony - and a rather large one at that. From there I have the most wonderful view of the Trade Centre, some trees... a bush I think. Oh, and some water. I'm sure it'll be a nice place to hold some parties and such. Not that it'll compare to the parties on Club NEVERDIE, but hey - one can only do their best.

In case you're wondering where my apartment is, its on Amethera (no suprises) Genesis Star block D, Floor 6 Apartment C. It's open to the public, so feel free to come in and take a look around. In fact I welcome visitors. So if you ever are there looking around, there's no need to be worried if I happen to walk in grasping a rifle. No, I won't be angry. If I minded people going in, I'd make it private.

So what have I got in my apartment? Well I have a table with all my weapons on (even the ones I no longer use), my sets of armour, my hunting trophy table with all creature parts I've looted, several other skins and such and even some sitting down areas. Oh...why am I bothering typing this? If you care you'll go and have a nosey.

Yes, I also agree it's rather dark compared to most peoples apartments, but I have intentionally gone for a nice ambient look for the place. My creature display lit by candles and my weapons glowing in their own light. It's much better than the harsh light from the ceiling lamps that for some reason were in my storage (seriously, I don't know where they came from!). I've even used my MA Christmas presents to attempt to set up some form of meditation shrine in one corner. It's my personal, spiritual, peaceful place in-game, where I can relax from the action of hunting or stress from my arch nemesis.... lag.

Now I hope *long shot* that someone at MA happens to glace over these player diarys every so often. If that's the case, then PLEASE MA, allow us players to upload our own pictures to display in our apartments! I have some wonderful pictures and pieces of art I would like to display on my lair walls! But no...

You can do such a thing on another MMORPG...*gasp* no names mentioned, so what's the problem here? WHY can't the players be immersed in the game further by allowing us to add a truely personal touch to our 'homes'? Urgh... I guess there's no point in trying to ask for such a thing. I know it's unlikely that players will be able to put some of their pictures in-game unless they're some nutcase Swedish artist*.

*In case you couldn't tell, I am referring to our beloved designer of New Oxford here... that Bill...something or other.... >_>

So yeah....all I've been doing today is playing with my apartment, arranging stuff and buying new furnature. So... at least now I have an in-game address: Genesis Star D, Floor 6, Apartment C. :D

Ah! Another entry. I bet you couldn't guess another one was coming... >_>

Recently I paid 30PED to put up an advert asking if anyone had Dragon Armour. That was the biggest waste of 30PED ever. NO ONE came forward, and frankly I don't think anyone really cared that there was a buyer for that armour. So that sucks. Also that was one of the main reasons I bought the apartment - so I could use the ad terminal for that purpose. Insanity? Desparation? Yes to both. You see the lengths I'm going to get hold of this damned armour?!?!? I will NOT give up.

Anyway...

I decided to go on a little hunting rampage. After moving into my new virtual home, I wanted to have a little fun. Removing my armour and placing it on the floor, I grabbed my ASG-1 Pig + Beast and go and introduce my new favourite weapon to some mobs.

I teleported to Atlas North where I knew a lot of Snable Youngs were. I stocked up with 10,000 BLP packs and hit space bar to go into aim mode. And that's when I went nuts. I ran at every snable on the radar, blasting them with this ASG-1. It killed them easily in one hit, and trust me, I've never seen so many mobs fall so quickly. Within a minute my radar was crowded with blue dots! All I did was run up near them, pull the trigger and then move on. It was non-stop move and shoot. Unless I missed, the poor snables were on the receiving end of the weapon. The worst part was finding out most these creatures had no loot, but I didn't mind. I had fun! You have to trust me on this. Picking on small creatures with an overly powerful weapon is the most fun one can have!

Figuring that this weapon was sufficiently powerful to take down an opponent in one hit, I teleported to Billy's to see if there was anyone in the Octagon. Hurrah! There was! A small battle was going on, and I was encouraged to join in. So I leapt into the arena unarmoured and fired my first shot. BLAM! 98 points of damage. In the chat was displayed "Arokh killed (the guys name) using an ASG-1 Pig." Not sure who it was, but the next thing I knew I was at the revival terminal. Someone had shot in the back repeatedly with a FreanD Delta, and I hadn't noticed. So yes, I've managed to do one successful kill in PvP. However the rest of the evening didn't go so well. I went back to the arena, and every time from then on, I died. Urgh... main reason for failure was lag. Entropia is hell for me lag-wise. I'm playing it on a machine with 256MB of RAM and a 64MB graphics card - a graphics card that is made of a company no ones heard of. In the arena I see people stood still. Then they disappear and appear elsewhere. It's like watching a slideshow, so where ever I shoot I miss. Hence I rarely go into any towns, since it kills the PC. You see I had a screenshot of my first kill, but the computer crashed and I had to reset it, thus losing the shot.

When I build a new computer, I can return to PvP in the Octagon once more. As long as I don't lag, I'll be fine.

I decided after that I should be more economical. Recently loots have been on an all time low, so I decided to start using a better weapon for kills, rather than my insane shotgun. Returning to my apartment in order to pick up my Mk2 Punisher, I noticed a green dot on my radar near the televator. Looking at the name I recognised it was someone from these forums - PkmX. After a brief 'hello', I teleported to my apartment to pick up the weapon I needed before heading out to hunt.

I decided to go to hunt corns North of Camp Caravan, which was a bad idea. I killed every corn there, and the loot was absolutely terrible. I figured I shoudl stop hunting there, so I headed up towards Zeus. As I did, a new wave of Corns spawned around me. Probalby taking a dislike to my bald woman avatar, four of them charged at me. Two guardians, a dominant and an old. I killed the dominant first and began on the old. However my misfortune was made worse as a few more enemies decided to have a look what was going on. Within seconds I was extremely dead.

Another notable thing that's happened recently was that after a rather long discussion with Mikah, the topic of societies came up. Not sure how things progressed, but I was offered the opportunity to apply to the Terra Verde society. I wasn't so sure to begin with, since I do feel slightly mean for leaving one society - especially one where I at least have a half-decent rank and I get on with a lot of people there. But after some persuasion, I decided to attempt to apply anyway. Have I got in? Well... not so sure to be honest. But time will tell. Speaking of societies, one thing I have noticed in EU is that (unlike a lot of other games I play *gasp!*) there are no furry or otherkin societies. What's up with that? Well I guess it makes EU special in the fact that it's the only game where I'm not a member of such a group. Oh well.

And another thing that's happened just now that's nearly made me wet myself in excitement - my Gold Card is here! I ordered it in early March and when that little brown padded envelope was handed to me, with a "From MindArk PE AB..." label on it, I just stood there grinning stupidly. At last! The card looks nice, but it's a shame the back of it is just plain white. And the reader feels a bit cheap and nasty, but I guess it does it's job. Oh, and the most amusing thing is that the reader has two buttons on, which I quote from the instructions: "The two buttons beside the front panel display of the Smart Card Reader are functions not available."

Then why, if they're not available, are they on the reader? :dunce:

Okay, this Dragon Armour search is becoming rediculous. So now I'm considering trading my Nemesis armour parts for the Dragon parts... another insane move by myself? Perhaps... but I'll do it if it really has to come down to that. >_>

Now I logged in and decided to go on a nice 200PED hunt. To prevent myself being tempted by my powerful weapons I left them in my apartment - simply because when I know I have a bigger gun in my inventory, I have a horrible temptation to use it more often than I should. So after dumping some of my weapons in the apartment I was left with three weapons: Fire Forge SGH 2200M for tagging, Opalo + A-103 and a Breer 2A + A-104. My first choice was the Cornundacaudas on the beach, North of Caravan. One of my favourite hunting spots. However this proved to be a poor decision since the loots were terrible. It was no loot after no loot. I really felt like throwing my Opalo at the mobs out of pure frustration. However MA hasn't programmed that function into the game yet. Sadly.

I remembered an advert in these forums about an Atrax land area on Amethera. I figured that since I love hunting Atrax, it'd be a while before I got bored. So I teleported to Omegatron habitat and headed to the land area. To my suprise there were few Atrax about, even though I was assured the spawn was on maximum. I soon found out why. There was a lot of water in that land area and the Atrax seemed to be taking swimming lessons... I mean... drowning. So there was not much to hunt. Still, I spent a few hours there and the loots were okay(ish). I got enough PED back to almost cover the ammo cost. It didn't seem that good a good day to hunt, so I headed back to Omegatron. On my way I stumbled across a lone Caudatergus, stood all alone on the brow of a hill. "What the hell?" I thought. "Why not?" So I shot it with me Opalo. Before I knew it there was bright lights and I soon realised I'd gotton my first HOF. I'd be lying if I said I didn't jump out the chair and start dancing.

After all the high level Atrax I'd been killing I got the biggest loot ever off a small, weak creature. Ah well... I have to hand it to MA - they know how to suprise me. And in case you're wondering, I sold the Vigi (M) harness I got in the loot to a society mate for the low price of TT+35.... not bad compared to the last one at auction which went for TT+84. I always do big discounts for Soc members you see. ;)

Sometime later I decided to skill up powerfist. I really want to max out the rest of the TT weapons, especially melee ones. I need the health boost, since my health level is quite low right now. I'm currently at 100 health and I really want to build that up as fast as possible. Hence my choice to play with the powerfist. I teleported to Fort Troy where I headed out into the wilderness. I just happened to glance at the chat window and noticed someone had typed 'gratz Arokh!' in general chat (I assume they were referring to the earlier HOF). Feeling a bit mean since I failed to reply I went back to the TP to ask who'd just chatted to me. You see I hate ignoring people and I feel rude not to respond, even if it was by accident. The person who'd chatted to me wasn't at the teleporter, so if that was you and you're bored enough to read this diary... I'm sorry for not responding. :( I really should pay more attention to chat.

However I did find a few people from this forum at Fort Troy TP - those people being Cee, Tidesong and KUBINY. Wow. I've played this game since early August '05 and not once come across anyone from these forums. Now in the last two week or so I've met loads of people. It's mad. Have I been walking around blind or something?!?! But anyway we sat around chatting for a bit before we had to go our separate ways. Most of us anyway.

Deviating from my original plan to powerfist skill, Tide and I went to Rei's Defence. Sadly I had no weapons that were effective against Atrox, so I sat there plugging away at the Atrox with none other than an Opalo. In the end I got 7PED from one of the three Atrox that eventually swarmed us. Tide I think got 18 bottles of sweat if I remember correctly. After one kill or so, she had to log out and thus ended the short trip to Rei's.

I decided to go back to powerfist skilling. Removing my armour I charged at a Daikiba Young at Fort Troy... critical hit! I inflicted 9.0 points of damage. >_> Bah! It took ages to do a kill, but I figured I wasn't really in any rush so I just endured hours of endless punching weak animals. I skilled a few hundered levels in powerfist and it did wonders for my evade and bravado skill. So if you ever have any spare PED's I recommend buying a powerfist and going skilling. The skill gains are immense (well for me they were) and I'm sure I'm not too far off my next health jump.

Also MindArk finally replied to my E-Mail that I sent soon after I bought my apartment. I had gone to the auction to see if there were any pieces of art I fancied buying to put up in my apartment. Sadly there were none (except a cheap stinktree painting), so I E-Mailed MA and asked if I was willing to pay them, would they mind applying a new image to the painting I bought. The idea was I'd send them an image and they could just apply it to the painting I bought so I'd have my own piece of art for my apartment. I was also offering to pay for any cost for them to do it. And guess what! I actually got a human reply from support:

21 Jun 2006 MindArk Support:
Hi,
We are currently building an organization to handle such issues. There will be an announcement about this as soon as this process has been finished. Since we do not have the infrastructure to deal with such offers yet, unfortunately we have to decline your offer for now.

Regards,
Entropia Support

Which means it is looking likely we'll be able to upload our own pictures for our apartments! Hurrah! A good move by MA, and I can't wait until the day they implement the feature. By the sounds of things they've got something underway already. Not sure when the feature will come out though... but when it does, there's some art on my computer that I'd like to place in my apartment. Don't worry, it's not art done by me - so Entropia won't be filled with rubbish. :)

Lastly... I was considering giving mentoring a go. Not sure if this was mentioned before, but I had a really bad start in-game. My mentor disappeared after two days (after not telling me much), so I was left in EU to figure things out by myself. No guide. Nothing. Yeah, okay I did learn and work things out, but the fact was the beginning could have been so much better if you know what I mean. So I'm determined people don't have such a bad start to the game - and especially not fall victim to those people who 'disciple' farm. Bah! I'm a bit busy now but once exams and such have passed... maybe. Not sure how good a mentor I'd be but if I can teach 12 year old (or something like that) army cadets* how to strip, clean and assemble an SA-80 A2 Assault rifle, mentoring in EU shouldn't be too hard. Hopefully.

*I've only endured one group of cadets. The general impression of them was that most of them probably need help to tie their shoes. Seriously, there seems to be a basic rule to qualify as an army cadet: shoe size > IQ Now you can imagine the utter fun I had...

Another entry after only two days? Oh yes. I have nothing else to do right now, so I figured I may as well kill some time and so something vaguely constructive by typing up another entry.

=======
Firstly one thing I'd like to get out of the way (outside of EU), is there any members here that happen to have an account on MySpace? After being bombarded with a rediculous amount of 'Join me on MySpace!' spam mail, I finally cracked and joined. This could prove to be a mistake, after all there are plenty of bad rumors about that site. So um... if anyone here has an account (or otherwise), feel free to check out my Profile. Yes, the word 'profile' is a link. I have two friends there now, one of which came by default and another who I don't even know who they are or where they came from. Not a good start is it? So hopefully there'll be at least ONE person from here who has an account... it's a shot in the dark, but hey - I get points for trying right?
=======

Back to EU. I spent the last few days trying to track down Sarah the colourer. I've slowly been trying to build up an outfit and the only thing remaining was to make my hat match the rest of the outfit. Through good timing, I stumbled across Sarah in Ithaca. She had a bit of a queue waiting, and I promptly added my name to the list. It wasn't too long until she reached my name and we began to discuss the colouring of my rather nice Rancher Hat.

For once I have a screenshot*:
[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

It was practically instantanious and within seconds I had a rather nice green Rancher Hat to go with the rest of my clothes. However, I must apologise to Sarah for me being a total colouring n00b. I hadn't a clue what the proceedure for colouring was, so she was on the receiving end of 1001 questions. Eventually I realised the simplicity: Give her the hat and paint. She colours. I pay.

But I was soon a happy customer and now I'm the happy owner of a hat coloured by a rather famous avatar. :D So I highly recommend her for any kind of job like that (as if you needed to be told that). Indeed I hope to do business again at some point - i.e. when I can afford decent clothes and black paint. I have a clothing look in mind, and to achieve this will be somewhat costly... so it's a luxury I cannot afford. Yet.

*logs out*

The very next day, I log back into EU for which it may not have been a good idea on my part. I really hadn't had a good day IRL, and all I wanted to do was a little hunting to unwind. I headed to Fort Troy, since one of my favourite hunting grounds is just South of there near the bottom of the peninsula. Firstly I decided to repair my gear, so naturally I head towards the repair terminal. This is when an orange guy thinks it's a good idea to scan me. They step in front of me and whip out the scanner. I move to the side to get to the terminal, but again they moved infront of me and scanned me once more. As you can imagine, they really hadn't picked an ideal time to do this.

Normally I wouldn't have too much of a problem, but remember I wasn't in a particularly good mood. Instead of walking to another terminal, I simply typed: "Do that one more time, and I'll stick that scanner up your ar*e." (no, it wasn't censored like it is here). This seemed to get the point across, and the avatar was rather quick to vanish. I forgot their name, but if you're reading this - you caught me on a bad day. I'm not usually like that - honest!

Soon after that incident, I headed South, only to be followed by someone evidently attempting to annoy me. You know the kind - the people who follow and then shoot at the same mob as you. :duh: It really wasn't my day, so rather than argue I decided to simply teleport away. This is when the avatar in question thought it was a good idea to try and mob dump on me to disrupt the focussing. Luckily I managed to teleportd out of there in time. At times like that, I really wish the area was PvP... :sniper:

I ended up really far south of Troy and began my hunt of Feffoids / Allos using an Opalo and A-103. The area seems to be like an untapped loot pool! The returns down there were really good, most likely because no one had hunted there for a very long time. My theory is that loot had been accumulating in that area, waiting for someone to collect it. But what use are theories? I was making PED's and thats what counts. I hunted there for a long period of time and spent around 150PED of ammo. But like all good things, the loot came to an end. When the no loots started kicking in, I returned to Troy. After which, I checked my profit - just short of 60PED! Not bad - and it did wonders to cheer me up! :)

Now this is when I noticed Donald had come online. It's been a while since we last met, so I sent him a PM. After a brief 'hello', the subject of the Amethera TP's came up. Not much was going on, so as per my offer a few moons ago we decided to go on a little TP run across Amethera. This is where I will leave this entry. Why? Two reasons:

-It's getting too long, and you're probably bored now.
-No doubt Donald will have screenshots (unlike me) and do a much better description of what happened than I can.

*I apologise for the lack of screenshots for now. I can only take one, since if I minimise EU, my computer crashes and thus the screenshot is lost. Only way to overcome this is by getting one screenie and wait until I finish playing, close EU and the paste the picture into Paint. If I did this every time I wanted a picture, my Gold Card would be out of log in codes within a few days. I hope to solve this problem soon, so bear with me on my lack of illustrations on these entries.

After checking PE-Wiki to decide what mobs to hunt, I logged into EU to hunt the mobs known as "Gokibusagi". These oversized insects have kicked my ass several times over, and now it was time for revenge! Equipping all my best equipment (Vigi / Jaguar, EMT-EK2350, GDC-97 + Beast, AGS-1 Pig) I headed North of Phoenix where apparently they spawned.

Phoenix is my worst nightmare. Laggy. Spammed chat. Orange people being chased by snables. Focus charging left and right. Just utter chaos. Rather than hang about, I ran North - but alas! Too late. A small window popped up on my screen as someone requested a chat. Being nice, I decided to talk to them - after all I feel it's wrong to ignore someone. There was no 'hello' or anything, and in fact the first thing that was said was:

can i have 10 ped?

...

You see people have different ways of relieving the pressures of life. Some just break down and cry in a corner. Others slap small children. I however play EU in order to immerse myself in a virtual universe, away from the annoyances IRL. The last thing I need to ruin my leisure time is someone begging. I don't mind giving help or doing TP runs, but being ASKED for money is just stupid. So in order to combat the problem I told the avatar I'd give him 20PED if he could run to the shop container and back. As he set off, I used my TP chip to go North. Problem solved.

Sadly my trick landed me in trouble. Rather... my TP cursed chip landed me in trouble. Thank you MindArk for creating the mob known as the 'Diripi'! They have an aggro range practically the same as your radar, and within seconds I would have given anything for a fly swatter:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

They don't hurt on their own though, it's only bad when there's loads of them! 1.0 damage. It's like someone trying to stab you to death with a rolled up newspaper. It's just... annoying!

At that moment Mikah PM'd me asking if I had made my mind up about joining her society. So through the fight we arranged to meet at the apartment at Treasure Island. Now the details here are long, so I'll do this bit briefly. Basically I met the others from Terra Verde, some of which are on this forum - Status, Mikah, JackFree, Trifle.... err... some more. But the fact is after a short meeting and me saying goodbye to the only 'old' society mate online, I joined the Terra Verde society. Good move by me or not? Time will tell, but so far it seems my decision was a good one. Hopefully I get to meet a bunch of new people at all the events... even though I doubt I'm that desirable to meet. lol!

After that... I'm not sure what happened. I have a memory lapse here, so I'll skip ahead to what I can remember. Stood around at Fort Troy, the subject of a beacon mission came up. Now I've really wanted to do one of these since... well... a few weeks ago when I was considering buying a beacon and doing it myself. But in any case a group of T.V. members got together (six in total) and we headed off to where the beacon needed to be activated.

Soon we were on board the shuttle, which transported up to the robot ship. Armed with a Red Bull and caffienated mints, I prepared myself for the mission. Wide awake and quivering from excess caffiene, I stepped into the first room. It was a large LARGE brown hazy place with a teleporter at one end. Stepping into that took us to a large dark room with red lights. A firefight ensued. There were numerous Drone Gen 01's and as we progressed, they were reduced to scrap no looting metal. At the far end of the room was a teleporter which took us to the next level, and this time it was an oddly futuristic looking room with robots perched on floating platforms. They really didn't stand much of a chance to be honest, and I found it quite handy that I had a Fire Forge rifle. Long range and a scope kind of helped take town the higher up bots. :)

This kill and teleport process continued until we reached a large open room with a pit coming across it. This is where we decided to split up to search each level for when the robot commander died. I was paired up with Misty on the second level. As soon as the commander died, the self destruct mechanism started and the teleporter was active. We jumped in and started the journey to the assigned level. Neither of us could read a map it seemed and we nearly got lost. Luckily we came to the level where the bots were on the floating platforms previously and the looting commenced. I looted two pixie face masks, two clerical dagger 1A's, an Enblade 3 and 1PED. After I had done all the boxes I could see, I jumped down to the lower level to help Status. Pointless really, since the boxes that were opened gave no loot. =\

That's when the ship exploded and we all died. Except Status who had managed to get back to the shuttle. >_> At least one of us didn't snuff it, so that's a bonus I suppose...

We revived at the outpost West of Fort Troy, and the loot was divided up equally. It wasn't particularly 'good' loot, but we had fun, and thats what counted. Even if we had gotton no loot, it still would have been fun! Mind you, I was kind of hoping we'd loot a Kaiser Graf HSV-1 - the gauss gun you supposedly can loot on those missions. I would do anything to have one of those guns (along with dragon armour! ;)), but luck wasn't on our side. I had one screenshot of the mission, but the computer froze and I had to reset it. Bah! But hopefully some other team members will have hit 'print screen', and thus I can post some of the pictures here when and if I can find them.

At the outpost we found one orange person called Fox, who happened to be stuck there. So some of us volunteered to take her/him back to Atlantis. On the way we acquired some other newbies and thus the 'Newbie Train' was slowly built up. Instead of a rescue mission, it turned into a TP run in which we got them four more teleporters on their map.

'Bout it for now.

Nope, I havn't quit, died, been banned or worse yet, become computer illiterate. The problem is that I went away to army training one weekend and came back home to find a certain lack of broadband. In fact our ISP cut our broadband connection because there was a severe lack of demand in my area and it most likely wasn't cost effective to provide the service. So they cut us off. That left me with a wonderful 19.5Kpbs dial up connection which means my internet connection is now slower than a fat man at the end of a marathon.

So we've had to search for a new internet company to supply the connection. Because of our 'unique' circumstance the new ISP decided to add a premium fee for our broadband. You think £17.99 a month is expensive for a 512 connection? Well try our new price of £79.99 a month with a 3Gb download limit. :(

Hopefully everything will be set by this Tuesday, so I can return to Entropia (aren't you lucky? ).

So really I've not had much to do lately.

Oh, yes nearly forgot to mention - I'm on my Gap Year now. Hurrah. It's like a year you can have before you go onto university. Most people do work or travel... just whatever they want. Remember my trip to the US? Well I'm intending to go back. This time I'm spending as long as I can in the US and trying to find locations to visit. It's hard though because I'm trying to find places where I know people from online, simply because it helps if you know someone there. I think that's how I can make the most of any visit, because people can show you around and such. On my own I'd most likely miss 90% of the important places in any given location. I'm planning on coming to the US in February, and so hopefully I can meet a variety of people.

Think thats about enough blabbering for this entry. At least I can return to my adventures in Entropia again soon. :)

Well I've returned, just like I promised. This is your cue to sigh and go "Damn. He's back." ;)

Firstly before I begin typing out my adventures again, I'd like to say that without broadband I've had... a little too much time on my hands. With that in mind I had a little more time for more "arty" things. Yep, it's Entropia related. Kind of. Basically I had a go of what I would have preferred my avatar to have looked like, if the game allowed it. I could only do Nemesis armour and an EP-40 pistol, since without access to the game I had no references. Thus I had to do it totally from memory. That's why it's not that accurate. Plus my proportions and such are rubbish - you can tell I haven’t drawn anything for a while (especially when you compare it to my sig). Enough of the excuses anyway...

So after about forty five minutes, with only a black permanent marker and some coloured pencils...this is what ended up staining the paper:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Oh and yes, the bottom foot isn’t cut off. I just ran out of paper at that point. And I had to 'invent' some armour for the tail. Now I'll move off the subject of my shameful attempt at “art”, and continue this diary as it should be...

Now I logged in at the Jason Centre, perched atop one of those large sentry guns near to the stables. Now I was quite confused, since I don't remember logging off here. MindArk - much like the universe - moves in mysterious ways. How I got there we'll never know. I'll just accept it as another of Entropias little mysteries.

Now the first thing anyone does when there's new land open, is that they go and explore. I am no different. Three new teleporters on Amethera... how hard can it be? At this point I was full of optimism and had no idea of the tragic journey ahead.

I teleported to New Oxford and headed North and after crossing the river I went West towards the newly opened up areas. Before long I came across the new mob - the Nexnecus (sp?). It was a mature, and before even bothering to find out about if I could actually fight and win, I accidentally shot it five times. It wasn't as hard as I'd expected, and to top it off, it left me with a very pleasant first loot:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

As I progressed further West, I encountered more of these creatures. I must admit I'm quite fond of this mob, simply because it's PERFECT for my level -and the loots not bad either. Shaking off the temptation to hunt more of them, I continued West to the river that separates the white part from the purple part (such technical names eh?). Now we all know what lies in water that you need to cross... rippersnappers. These creatures have made my river crossing hell ever since I started this game. Expecting the very worst, I found that my assumption was incorrect. Evidently MA hasn’t bothered to populate this area, and so passing through it wasn't too bad. The only annoying part was when I came to the other side and found a large cliff in my way. There was no way my avatar could climb this, so the swim in the river had to continue for a short while longer before I could clamber onto land.

Here was what I call DaikibaVille. Yep, a land area full of Daikiba. Resisting to blast the little mobs into the next century, my attention shifted to the map. Now where would a logical place for a TP be? Yes, the centre of the large white section. So off I go, blissfully unaware that I was heading in the totally wrong direction.

A few hours later:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

"It's got to be around here somewhere..."

Heh, yep. Still 100% sure it was around that area I began walking up, down around the large white land mass, hoping to bump into the TP. Until the wonderful idea came to me. "Press T, and it'll take you to the nearest revival!"

60 seconds later I was at a revival station in Maffoid Champion territory. This was the land area right next door to DaikibaVille. This meant my last two hours of aimless wandering had been pointless. Before I walked too far from the revival, someone called Benek joined me. He seemed to be looking for a teleporter too, so we teamed up and tried to get out of the land area. We did okay but close to the end we were swarmed by a some Clan Warlords and a few Champions. We managed to kill a few of them before I took a wonderfully timed critical hit and died. Just as I revived Benek managed to loot the mob before he too died. A rather nice loot. 6 PED and... and ESI! It was a silent global, which made me a little happier in the midst of my teleporter conundrum.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Figuring the best way to go was West, we carefully avoided as many mobs as possible. The aim here was not a hunt, but merely to find a teleporter. ANY teleporter. But alas, it wasn't that easy. When we were close to the land area to the South West of the white island, we got attacked by a few Maffoids. We gunned them down no problem. "That wasn't too bad was it?"

Thse were my final words before a Molisk Guardian took off the last of my health and sent me back to the revival terminal. MindArk - listen up: make a drop kick option for those mobs. I'd just love to punt one of those little so and so's across the ice! Hey - maybe we could even make a new Entropia sport here: Molisk Curling.

But luckily I revived at this enormous building not too far from where I died. A large building with all the terminals one could possibly need... and what's this? An auctioneer? Could this mean....?

Stepping outside, I howled in frustration at the absence of a teleporter. Until a green dot appeared on the radar. "Excuse me, but could you direct me to the nearest teleporter please?" I typed into chat. No response came. In fact the guy just logged out.

>_>

Deciding it was time for a bit of guesswork, I picked a random direction and walked that way. Bu luck was on my side. After no more than a minute, a teleporter appeared on my map. Not sure what the name is, but it's something Forest Teleporter. Hurrah! Found one by myself by sheer luck!

And that's where I leave this entry.

**By the way, I can now get more than one screenshot! No more picture-less entries!

Now given how long I had been spending searching for one teleporter, I decided to do other things before I went on my TP hunt again. Wandering around aimlessly has little entertainment value for me, and so returning to a bit of hunting seemed like a good idea. But what to hunt? After spending several minute staring at the map, Twin Peaks seemed like a good idea.

Argonaut hunting. Something I havn't done in a while, and of course they've always seemed to loot well for me. The first kill of a Gatherer resulted in two Argo skulls (Two? Huh?) a FAP5 and 10 PED. Quite pleased I went on to kill a scout which delivered none other than a Freand Alpha pistol, Knight thighs and 6 PED. This seemed to be going awfully well. Ahead was an Argonaut Scout, and as I headed over to that another hunter tagged it first. *sigh* So I settled on a nearby Young instead. Thats when the trumpets and lights came and before I knew it, a 59 PED global. My fifth one in only 4 months.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

No sooner had this happened I headed to another Argo... when I saw someone I recognised. Enska. Yep, one of my old Perseus Soc members. After a brief discussion, we settled on going on a team hunt to kill some Nexnecis. We went to New Oxford and headed NW. We were soon in the middle of a large spawn of these creatures and it really wasn't too bad. We were taking on multiple Olds and Matures without too many problems. We finished a large group of them off and as we were healing, a Provider decided to come and feast on the two smug looking humans.

We revived at the Shinook Jungle TP, where I saw none other than EyeContact heading off into the jungle. Another forum member. ^_^ Enska and I decided to try heading East to take on some Combibo Dominants, where I was given some nice advice. "Arokh, whatever you do... RESIST the temptation to shoot those Mourners. We can't handle them - they do impact damage and we're wearing Vigi."

One Justifier Mk2 shot from me and ten seconds later, we were back at the revival. :D

We then decided to hunt some Nexnecis West of the TP, and we spent the next few hours committing genocide. If you want to know who unbalanced Calpysos ecosystem... we're to blame! Soon I realised it was 4AM and I really had to log out.

The next day I decided to get the last new TP, since it was only a short walk from the Shinook Jungle one. On the way there I decided to hunt something I had not yet tried: Hiryuu. These I must admit (along with Nexnecis) are one of the coolest creatures I've seen in-game. Okay, 90% of them had no loot. But.... meh.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

If only I could tame one and have it as a pet! ^_^ (MA, you listening?)

Rather than hunt this area to the brink of extinction, I continued to the new TP (I had a map this time!). The journey was long and boring to be honest, so I won't bore you with any details. In fact as soon as I got that TP, I headed straight to the Limnadian District to try a new style of hunting: Rippersnappers with the TT powerfist. Loot wasn't too bad actually. Each fish gave me around 2PED. Trust me, if you're low on PEDs, try this kind of hunting. It's a little more challenging than land based hunting AND it's something different. Not to mention economical.

Soon after I joined Trifle and JackFree on a hunt around Zeus. It was supposed to be Berycled hunting, but in reality is was more of a generic slaughter. Loot could have been better, but it wasn't too bad either - just the occasional 3PEDs, items then some no-looters. After about an hour in, JackFree had to log off which meant me and Trifle were the only ones in the team. We continued on some Cornundacaudas and then we spotted some Warriors in the distance. "Oh why not?" I typed into chat.

The first was a Warrior Gen 3, which looted a massive 45PEC. *cough* Then we killed a Warroir Gen 5 which had no loot. Finally we tried a Gen 4, but this proved to be a mistake. We got swarmed with two of these Warriors and a whole herd of Cornundacauda. My fapping couldn't keep up with all the damage and slowly and surely I was poked, prodded, trampled and shot to death. It was nearly as violent as being in the crowd at a football game.

Trifle revived at Zeus, whilst I somehow managed to end up at the North Space TP. Before I jumped in the teleporter I saw another forumite - Kitty. Ater a quick exchange of words, I headed to join my teammate. Wow, meeting two forum members in two days!

Feeling loot was down in the Zeus area, we decided to go to the Shinook Jungle again. The intent was to hunt the Nexnecis again, but somehow they weren't around. In fact they'd been replaced by Armax. Since I was supposed to be leading the way to the Nex, this spawn of Armax meant it looked as though I didn't know what I was doing (whats new?). But I fabricated an excuse. "You see these are Nexnecis, pretending to be Armax" I said. "They may fool the average hunter, but not Arokh : Space Adventurer!" Not suprisingly this excuse didn't pass.

What else.... oh, yes and some advice. Watch where you're shooting in a PvP zone when team hunting. Trifle managed to shoot me with a Marber once doing 36 damage to me. I guess that makes up for me accidentally shooting her with an Opalo earlier. 1.0 Damage. Pfft. So much for my PvP skills... lol

Following a short PM session with Tidesong, a certain outpost was brought up. The one South East of Pandora. Now I'm sure it's been mentioned here on the forums several times, since it's apparently one of the quietest outposts in-game. Oddly enough I didn't have this outpost on my map yet - suprisingly, considering how often I die. So cue my new mission.

I TP'd to Pandora and started heading South. Again I had no co-ordinates of where the outost was, just a vague idea that it was in the East part of the desert. Somewhere. So off I went simply intending this to be a run and grab outpost mission. Unfortunately there was several Berycleds in my way and I couldn't resist the urge to hunt them until the radar was clear of red dots. My luck seemed to be in. One or two loots in I got a set of Shogun Thighs, 8.02PED, 10 Skins and a Berycled Claw.

Sadly that was the best loot I got on the way there. I killed multiple Sabakumas, Berycleds and even a few Longu. No loot went over the 4PED mark, but I'm sure you'll agree ANY loot is good loot. Continuing on my journey, my radar soon began to turn red. Thinking it was just a load of Bery's, I climbed over the hill. What I saw could only be described as a scene from Jurassic Park. Atrax. And a LOT of them. Of course because these mobs tend to be a bit tetchy, they were soon all over me. Eventually I managed to kill every single one of them (to my suprise) and got loot... well, almost enough to cover the ammo spent.

Soon I came across the outpost and for mine and others reference, the co-ordinates are 20580, 13568. Yes, it's very quiet there. So much so, I decided to head back to the Pandora TP and hunt elsewhere.

I decided to go to my favourite hunting ground, which is South of Hadesham. It's the place where all the high level Argo's are and of course no other hunters. Imagine a better place than Twin. No competition for Argos and mobs that are slightly more challenging. A few mobs in and I got a global, much to my delight. Then even more rarely, a few minutes later I got another one! You've probably seen the post in the HOF/Global section of the forum. Not believing my luck, I continued hunting that area. Loot from then on wasn't too bad. In fact I looted several FreanD Alphas, FAP-5's and over 90PED of Iron stone. But inevitably the no looters started coming in, and I decided to hunt elsewhere.

I decided to hunt around the Zeus area. On my way into the blue part North of there, I bumped into a Prancer Provider. The stupid bird decided to attempt to peck me to death. So a few blasts of an Opalo later, it was... what's the culinary term... roasted? Mind you, for the first loot of that hunt wasn't bad:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I continued North and began killing anything that moved. Bery's seemed to have stopped paying, since I only got 2 or 3 PEDs and then a load of no looters. That's when I decided to move onto Cornundacaudas. Loots from these varied a lot. I got no loot, then all of a sudden loot around the 7PED, 12PED mark. From the slaughter, an Old was trying to run away as fast as it's little legs could carry it. Which isn't very fast. This is the one that gave me the third global that day:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Loots wnet down a bit after that, so I decided to head to Troy and hunt some Armax. Stopping in the Auction to see if there was any Dragon Armour (yes, still looking) and to re-stock ammo, there was one or two 'Gratz' and 'Any more globals today Arokh?' from people there. Sure, I'm having a good time now, but I'll bet you by the end of next week MA will have taken it all back. Mark my words. I headed North and started on the Armax. Loot was pretty average - just 2PED, hides and what have you. Thats when I ran into my nemesis - Armax Bull Guardian. I admit it. I ran away like a little pansy. It was to no avail, since it was much faster than me. I ended up back at the outpost North of Troy where I just the in the towel. Loots weren't particularly good, and I'd just been trampled to death by a stampeding fat thing.

Heh, and one final picture. Later on qc, Trifle, Jackfree and I went our hunting for Armax. Trying to find the one that killed me - revenge if you will. There was a bit of messing around halfway through. Now here's advice for newbies:

Don't beg for PED....

....demand it at gunpoint!

Finally... Hrm, I must say I'm enjoying my time in the Terra Verde society. I reckon the move was a good choice. Nice people, had fun and it's been a laugh. Hopefully I've made a good enough impression that they want to keep me around. Now some people have questioned some of the things I type into chat. Odd words and what have you, I'm sorry, it's a habit I find difficult to break out of for EU. In any online game I tend to hang around with one particular group of people, so you really get used to a style of chatting. To clear it up for those of you who question it: "Rawr?" is another way of saying "Huh?" or "Hmm?"

Oh, and I apologise in advance if I do accidentally end up using the actions like *huggle* as well. Again, habit. :(

Yesterday was the most expensive, yet most FUN day I've EVER had in my time in EU.

Firstly I bought a level two Exarosaur Old Alpha pet. Why? Well I've always wanted a pet, have a little fun you know. I've yet to decide properly on a name for it.... suggestions welcome ^_^

Soon after my little purchase and subsequent playing with my pet, I had to attend a society meeting in Status' apartment. I'm not going to mention what goes on there, simply because its 'society' stuff. But I did find out that I've been properly accepted into the T.V society now. Which I'm quite pleased about, especially since I get on with a lot of people in the soc and I'm finding it rather fun.

Soon after this was the society newbie event, where it was literally like an EF forum get-together. Several names were in chat I recognised, so it was nice to see people from the forum in-game. Sounds stuipd I know, but given the amount of people who post on this forum, I rarely see any of them playing. Now my main purpose in this event was just FAPing people with low health whenever I could. Sadly I failed to reach Mikah in time (as did everyone else) and she snuffed it. But life went on. For some.

In fact we were all in for a treat when Phil from the SWaN soc (is that right?) used his resurrection chip. A lot of us had never seen one in action before and so sweating and FAPing suddenly halted whilst we stared at the resurrection. It took several attempts, but finally Mikah was brought back to life:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

So much for the society take over plan. ;)

Soon after the decision was made to go on a TP run to pandora. Whilst we waited for a little bit before setting off, Doer decided to don his Dragon armour. I remember quite well sat here at the computer thinking "Jammy so-and-so!" lol But I hope he didn't get too fed up of me orbiting him and drooling over the armour I've been trying so hard to get. Saying that, Phil managed to get into contact with Auktuma who actually agreed to craft me the missing armour parts! HURRAH! Not only will I have what I want, but it'd be made by one of the best crafters in-game. Okay, the matereials I had to buy for Auktuma cost me just short of 370PED, but I'm pretty much going to do anything now to get hold of the parts.

Now after the TP run came the part of the day which I found SO much FUN! I recently acquired a FreanD Delta BLP pistol, which is basically a cheapo version of the Maddox 4. Yes, I know I'm tight, but I'm not forking out more pED for a Maddox. But where to test it? Where are people to kill? The oil rig.

Yes, I went back there. I did several TP jumps to get to the outpost South of there and then headed North East towards the PvP zone. Pulling out my new Delta,I prowled around ready to kill the first person I saw. No less than five minutes later, a green dot appeared on radar and without thinking I ran towards it. But as the dot became an avatar I could see, I found it was none other than a newbie trying desparately to get some oil. I'm not heartless, so I let him go on his way. As soon as he disappeared off radar, anoter dot started coming towards me, heading for the rig. Again, I run towards it only to be disappointed by the fact that it was another newbie in an orange jumpsuit.

Deciding to be fair, I continued on my way towards the rig. Until close by I saw two dots close together on my radar. One was wearing a Boar/Nemesis mix (named Eclesiaste), and the other guy was wearing Ghost. As I headed towards them ready for a battle, I recognised the guy in the Ghost armour. It was Dragger, a fellow T.V. member. Next to him, the other guy was not PKing him as I'd expected. No. In fact they'd formed a team to take the rig. After a few "hello's" I joined the team. Now all we had to do was take the rig!

No one was at the rig, except two corpses and a hell of a lot of high maturity Atrox. We decided to take on the Atrox one at a time, luring them away from the rig and killing them. The first one that charged us was an Atrox Old Alpha, which as soon as it came in range I shot at it with my Delta. Immediately my team mates ran behind me FAPing me when needed, until I killed the beast:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I've done it. I've fought and killed my first Atrox Old Alpha!

This method was continued, each of us taking turns in killing and FAPing. Eclesiaste tagged the Atox with his Marber and started hacking away at them with his Determination when they got close:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

If it was a large Atrox such as an Alpha or above, there was one of us killing and two of us FAPing. Lower maturites such as Dominants, all three of us started shooting to kill it. It was REALLY good fun!

We did die a lot, and at one point I found myself alone near the rig. Unfortunately for me an Atrox Guardian detected my presence and decided to "investigate". I can JUST about handle a Guardian solo when armed with a Delta. As I was shooting, I noticed a green dot heading towards me on radar. "Great" I thought. "PKer going to take advantage....". But no. Out of nowhere came the message "You are healed 10.0 points" (or something), again and again until the Atrox was dead. Turning around, I saw who'd been healing me. Remember that first newbie I didn't shoot? Well it was him. :)

Soon after I was re-joined by Dragger, Ecles and Elroy (another T.V. member who joined in later on), and we continued clearing out the rig between our numerous times dying. Eventually it was clear enough for us to actually stand at the rig for a bit, just like I've always wanted to do. Whilst we were doing the rig-run, we noticed about three newbies trying to get there. Rather than PKing any of them, we let them stay at the rig.

For those of you saying "You should have killed the newbies!", forget it. I remember when I was in their position doing EXACTLY the same thing, thinking "When I can get to the rig and stay there, I'll be nice!". Well, promise fulfilled. As far as I can see, if they can make it to the rig by themselves as newbies, then IMO they deserve what little reward they get.

Finally after doing the "rig-takeover", I now see the point of the rig. I agree now, its NOT about oil. I spent a few hundred PED in ammo and decay and got absolutely peanuts back (12PED or something). Normally I'd complain, but frankly that was the BEST way of spending PEDs IMO. That gave me the most fun filled few hours of entertainment ever in Entropia. Not only that I've even got a new addition to my friends list - Eclesiaste. So thank you all those who took part - great fun!

And yes, I know if there was ubers there we'd have had no chance. And if anyone out there wants to do another rig-run, let me know!

Okay, been a few days since I was last here. EF hasn't been working for me lately at all - on broadband I just get a "Cannot Find Server, Page Cannot Be Displayed" page. The only way I can access the forum now is via dial up, which is odd. I'm not sure what is going on here, but I'm trying to make the best of it.

First of all the big news: I've finally got my full set of Dragon Armour after all this time! :D *flicks tail happily*

Now as you know I'd already acquired the gloves, arm guards and face mask. So every day since I got those components I browsed the auction to see if any other parts came up. I was lucky enough a few days ago to find the shins on auction. This showed my true desparation to get them, since I bought them on buyout at a wonderful TT+45. As I wandered out of the auction house at Argus, I noticed Auktuma walking steadily towards the crafting machine. Now if you read one of my earlier entries, you'd know that he'd agreed to craft me the missing parts providing I supplied him with the materials. Before I decided to PM him, Auktuma was swarmed with people all wanting to chat and what have you. I thought the poor guy had his hands full right now, so I decided to wait for a while before chatting with him. Now if you know me you'll know that I don't like to interrupt people - especially when they have their hands full. It's really not fair on them. So after about 20 minutes or so he finally traded me and we sorted everything out. It didn't take too long, and before I knew it, he was back with two freshly crafted pieces of armour:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

So, thank you Auktuma! You've ended a long and tedious search! Oh and how could I forget... I met AkiranBlade, whom happened to be around at the time. We didn't chat that much, but he seemed a pleasent fellow. At some point maybe there'll be a better opportunity to socialise.... maybe. =/

I promptly repaired the armour and took it to my apartment to try on. - and I must say, it was worth every PED:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

And I'm not joking when I say I was seriously considering offering to trade my Jaguar Harness for the Dragon one in hope someone may be tempted to come forward to offer it to me. That's how desparate I was becoming to complete the set. At least now I have a really nice looking armour that also happens to be of a convenient name ;)

Hrm... what other news... ah, yes. I also went out and about around Fort Zeus with the intent on skilling. On my way out to my usual hunting ground I came across an Neconu Young. Normally I'd edge my way around these things, since I know they kill me quickly. But to my suprise the tables were turned on the little blue sods for once:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

My first Neconu kill as well. I know theres a lot of hunters out there who think it's no big deal or anything, but these things used to absolutely wipe the floor with me. Now I can quite happily take on a Neconu Young with a reasonable chance of success. That's another 'Mob To Avoid' crossed off my list. But when I face a Mature or above, I die quicker than a Chirpy Young that picks a fight with Skalman.

Also in the last few days, variation in loot has been up and down more times than a hyperactive five year old on a pogo stick. One minute I do really well, the next I'm close to broke. Is that supposed the be the 'dynamic' aspect of EU?

I started randomly TPing about Eudoria to 'test' loot in several areas. At one point I happened to rematerialise in front of an Umbranoid (the only mob in EU with less hair than my avatar!). Being stabbed is not much fun, so I retalliated with the full force of my Justifier. Wham! 280 odd PED global. So being wise (ha!), rather than spending the PED some new armour, I bought ammo and went skilling on Cornundacaudas. Good choice that was: No loot after no loot. There was the occasional 3PED, but the hunt was a loss overall. I was saved from adding to the loot pool further when Enska PM'd me asking if I wanted to hunt Mermoths.

As soon as I got to Myrene Island, some jammy so and so got a global off a Corn. And it was none other than the one person I had passed in my skilling hunt. Ah well. But throughout the Mermoth hunt, I noticed several Corn globals (Isn't that typical now I'd stopped hunting them?).

But that's not to say loot was bad for me here. First mob - a Guardian - resulted in 35PEDs. Soon after that we looted a FAP-50, but then loot started taking a plunge. Deciding it was time to head back, Enska and I went on the long trip back to the TP. On our way there we were attacked by an Atrox Young, which ended the hunt with a nice global. That as in fact the cheapest hunt I've ever been on. We bumped into several other hunters, all wearing Nemesis, Boar and other 'expensive' armour. Even though Enska was wearing Goblin and I my Dragon set, we were easily taking on up to Dominants. Even a no-looting Mermoth Alpha at one point. At times I wonder is higher level armour is really worth it for hunts like this.

Ah well, at least I'm not broke ATM. In case you're curious, I'm doing around 9 to 12 hour hunts a day. So you can imagine how much ammo and stuff I go through. It's just I'm trying to skill like mad, but it seems skills are going up VERY slowly. I can spend 250PED ammo and maybe get a 20 levels in rifle if I'm lucky. Maybe it's just a slow period... but I'm happy nonetheless. I have my armour and I'm not broke... yet.

Hrm, it's happened a few times now. People have been offering rediculous sums for my newly acquired Dragon Armour. I'm talking around the TT+450 to 500PED mark, since apparently there's only 7 full sets in game. I may be nuts, but I constantly decline. There's mostly male sets around, but I've yet to see any full female sets.

Most people here in game aspire to get hold of Angel, Shadow or Eon armour. Me? I aspired to get Dragon Armour. lol. I'm happy now. Maybe I set my sights a little too low, but at least it's the cheap option! In fact the only main goals I have now in game are:

-To complete my Jaguar set
-Acquire some form of DOA (Only reason being 'I like its design')

Apart fom that I can take it easy. :)

Recently I've been hunting North of Orthos West Mound. Now before anyone points the finger at me and yells "Araneatrox Trapper!", you're wrong. I was hunting in that Umbranoid town just across the river. I rarely hunt Umbras, simply because being stabbed is not much fun - especially by a naked person. Death then is just humiliating. But for a change I headed over the river, equipped with my Justifier and went to kick some booty. All was going well to start with, since I usually got their health around 70% down before they reached me and so mostly it was just a finishing off job. Now the worst thing in hunting is to get complacent, and even worse - getting smug. Feeling I had the upper hand I headed closer to the town. It seems Umbras don't take too kindly to visitors - especially bald women that are comitting genocide. I was swarmed by several Umbras at once and my FAPing couldn't keep up with all the damage. Eventually I was carved up like a Sunday roast. :(

Thats when I noticed the armour repair bill - about 30PED. Not only had these Umbras damaged my armour, but my PED card too. Loot from the Umbras was okay-ish. I got around 1PED from each and the occasional can of hairspray. Hairspray. It's as if MA is mocking my avatar.

All repaired and armed up again, I headed North again from Orthos. This time I weant a little West along the river to see what was there. I only found one or two Atrox Olds and one Provider - none of which had loot. More interestingly I found a Molisk Hunter. Now in case you've never seen one before, these Molisks are big. And I mean BIG! They're just a bit larger than my avatar and have about as much hair. That's when I made my next mistake in EU. The mistake of saying "Oh, a Molisk Hunter. Pfft. How hard can it be? It's only a Molisk!"

Armed with my economy weapon the Opalo, I shot the oversized mob. No damage was really inflicted, and instead the shot served to irritate the Molisk. Unphased I let off another shot... which was my last. A nice round of damage - two 60+ hits which sent me back to the revival. Now at the moment I have 106HP and even though slightly more than the 90HP you start with, it was evidently insufficient. Rather than quit, I wanted revenge. Equipping my FreanD Delta and Beast, I went back to return the favour. I had to FAP like mad, and it took AGES to kill. Guess what? No loot.

I could have cried, but instead of sulking I decided to hunt in a different location. I haven't been around the Jason Centre for a while and more to the point I've rarely hunted bots. As it stands my avatar has very little dodge. I mean I probably couldn't even dodge someone riding one of those shop mobility carts. So off I go into that valley South East fo the Jason Centre to hunt some Drones. Now there were several others here too, so I had to wander around for a bit to find a nice spot, out of the way of everyone else. Then began the s(killing). ;)

I found one or two Generation 05 drones that were wandering around at the edge. Suprisingly I can take these on pretty easily without even having to FAP. Even though I was skilling dodge quite well, loots were bad. In 20 drones I'd be lucky to get a total of 3PED. If these are supposed to be Calypso's #1 enemy, coupled with the fact we're MEANT to be killing them... you'd think MA would give us some incentive to do so? I'm not sure what everyone else is like playing EU, but somehow seemingly endless 'No Loots' just don't cut it for me.

But halfway through I did global (hurrah!) which contained a rather nice TP chip. Annoyingly I already own one of these. Always the way isn't it? You buy something and loot it within the next few weeks! Knowing my luck I'll probably loot a full Dragon set now - even though it's a crafted armour!

Speaking of drones, whilst on my little trip I made a new friend:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

See? Not all drones are nasty! This fellow didn't bother to shoot and in fact just stood there. We got chatting and apparently he's only working on Calypso for a few more months - being a soldier's only a temporary job for him. Apparently his real line of work is back on Earth as an office photocopier. ;)

Lastly for a while I have been considering setting up my own society, but I can forsee a few problems. Firstly I wouldn't know how to run one effectively and quite frankly I wouldn't even know where to start. There's also the fact that the number of people who'd willingly volunteer to be stuck with me are pretty much next to none. The main reason though is that I'd doubt there's be any demand for the kind of society I'd run. On another game *gasp!* I'm part of a large society called FurNation. I was thinking of making a similar society here in EU - one for all other furs and otherkin in EU. Sadly the numbers of those will most likely be minimal, given the nature of the game. So... no demand. No soc. Thus my ideas been sunk totally. :(

First things first... one, if not two people have added me to their MSN contacts lately - most likely getting the address from my profile, since no ones asked me personally for it. Now if you are going to do something like that, at least let me know via PM first... or even change your MSN name to your EF name. Something that indicates who you are. You have no idea how stupid I feel when someone messages me and I have to ask who they are. It makes for awkward conversation.

Things have a funny way of working out you know? Even though I'm in the Terra Verde society, I've somehow been spending more time around my old soc mates. Like I've been mostly going on team hunts with Enska, having PM discussions with Solaris and Quincey. In fact I've not really been saying much in the society chat lately, since I've mainly been spending time on 'team' chat. To be honest I doubt anyone noticed I'd practically disappeared. lol

The most recent 'team' hunt was with Enska again. After buying an absolute TON of ammo, we went up to Atrax beach in the hope of looting an A-104. Mostly it went well, since we got one or two no looters, then something in the region of 14-30PED. Atrax have to be one of the more fun mobs to hunt, mainly because within seconds you can become absolutely swarmed. A simple fight one-on one battle can quickly be turned into a fight for survival as several suddenly attack.

As it turns out, not all Atrax are vicious. Halfway through the hunt, we came across an Atrax Provider stood in a small lake. We almost shot it, but upon the realisation that it didn't seem to want to attack we went for a closer look. Evidently this Atrax was a pacifist and rather than kill it, I decided to make it my honorary pet (yea, you'll have to read the chat):

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Seconds after my 'lets feed it' comment, I noticed Enska had made a quick change of clothes:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

What a nice mob! Its even friendly to OJ's! Now we did actually spend quite a while with this Atrax - abut 15 to 20 minutes at least. We were trying to ride it by attempting to jump on its back and what have you. Unfortunately this didn't work as well as we'd hoped and my plan to ride my pet Atrax into Port Atlantis evidently wasn't going to happen. ;)

But we couldn't stay there, so I had to say a farewell to my Atrax friend and continue the hunt. There's no 'pat on head' or 'hug' emotion in EU, so a wave had to suffice as a goodbye. Heh, if anyone now goes and kills Fluffy - you're just plain heartless!

We continued the hunt all over Atrax land and even attempted some Allophyl that got in our way. Even though overall in the hunt we just about broke even, we didn't loot the A-104 we'd been looking for. I'm beginning to wonder if hunting Longu would have provided some better results.

Apart from that team hunt, over the last few days I've spent around 1K PED on ammo just hunting Cornundacauda and Argos. The reason behind this is that these mobs are boosting my agility up at an incredible rate AND loot form them is quite good. I mean just yesterday I managed to loot no less than 10 A-103 amps, several FreanD Alphas and EP 21 Defenders. Amps tend to be my only limiting factor to a hunt. Once I run out of amps, I must go and repair. Now I can last for ages with my grand total of 14 A-103 amps! That's of course assuming I can afford all the ammo that I'd need. One lasts for about 20K ammo when I'm using the Justifier...so... 280K ammo I could get through! Assuming my maths is correct...

The odd thing about hunting Corns is that I tend to loot several very badly. At the point of giving up, I'll suddenly loot 7 to 21PEDs and a nice item. It's like a moral boost if you know what I mean. It gives me hope that if loots getting as good as that, there must be a global in the area somewhere. Usually I'm right, but some other hunter gets it first. Ah well, you can't win at everything can you? :(

Okay, I'm not sure how long this'll be. Lately things haven't been going very well in game. And that's an understatement. As such I'm taking a break from EU for an undetermined amount of time - which means anything from a few days, weeks, months or perhaps longer. People have their ups and downs in EU, one day you're doing well and the next you've got less PEDs than an OJ who's just stepped off the shuttle. I'm just glad there's no debt collectors in EU, otherwise I'd most likely be serving time. lol

I could stay in game and what have you, but the problem is that I'd most likely see some new equipment or fancy going on an uber-long hunt or something. Thus I'd end up depositing again for the umpteenth time this month. It's the old reason of cost, and I just can't afford to keep playing when times are bad. Maybe a little later on I'll log back in and find that things have improved slightly. I mean I'd rather take a refreshing break now than keep playing and get fed up enough to want to leave forever.

Yes, the community here is fantastic and I've met a LOT of great people - Rainman, Solaris, Enska, Mikah, Status, Donald, Tidesong.... the list is insanely long. It's why I play the game - apart from attempting to become a decent hunter. It's also the main reason that keeps me here.

In the mean time though I'm playing the unspeakable game that we're not supposed to mention here on EF - which for now has me utterly addicted. Yep, the other two-worded game that also has a cash economy and that several people here say is totally rubbish and laggy. Evidently those people haven't seen the best part of it. All I have to say to them is: Get a furry avatar and come down to FurNation or the Dragons Maw club. Me and a few dragony friends will show you how to have a good time. ;)

So yeah.... I'll still be around this forum and such. Just not in-game. And if you fancy meeting up in another reality *points up at the last paragraph* then don't hesitate to PM. Haha, I suck at dropping subtle hints even more so than I do at PvP.

No, this isn't a whining post. It's just to explain why I may not be in game for a time and the reason behind it. I want to continue playing, but not before a due break. In which case.... see you sometime. :)

No, I'm not back in game properly yet - but I did log in for an intended short time yesterday for a good reason. I mentioned EU to a load of friends and one of them decided to give EU a try. One. *sigh* I should have known better. Most of them actually refuse to spend time around people with human avatars, let alone speak to them. As such they decided EU wasn't really the game for them. Shame I couldn't transfer them over - they're really nice too. ^.^

Being nice like I am, I logged in to hand over some of my gear to him - opalo, FAP-5, the TT pistol and 2K ammo and such. I'd have been less tight on the ammo if my PED card happened to be in a healthy conidition. I could have logged off there and then, but I offered to do a TP run. My intentions were to get teleportes such as Zychion, East Scylla, Twin and the Jason Centre. However as soon as we were about to set off from Phoenix he had to log off. Which evidently means I'll have to log on another time to fulfill my promise.

Again I could have logged off there, but I kind of got drawn into society chat which meant I was now stood around at a TP chatting. Eventually the conversation swung towards a hunt and I figured "what the hell?" and decided to tag along. I'd used a Gold Card login code for only a few minutes play, so I figured I may as well make the most of it. Donning my Nemesis armour and GDC-97 I headed out West of Orthos to meet my fellow teammates who where heading towards PvP1.

First enemy we came across was a Calamuasoid (sp?). Immediatey I ran at it firing away with the BLP rifle, letting the mob feel the full force of my unskilled rifle control. As the bright flashes of the machine gun died away, a single laser bolt flashed past me that finished the mob off.

"Arokh, we're using TT weapons."

I must admit, that's not the first time it's happened. Sighing, I switched to my Opalo + A-103. "Very well" I replied as we headed deeper into PvP1. It was more of a relaxed hunt than anything. Luckily we were only using TT weapons as my accuracy is kind of poor. I'd be getting lots of daages in the high 'teens then all of a sudden a "1.0" damage as I accidentally shot a teammate. Note accidentally. I use the 'click on mob' method of firing my gun, and sometimes I clicked on a teammates hitbox instead of the mobs. I mean if I had been using something like my FreanD Delta, who knows what may have happened.

Halfway through we encountered another green dot. Equipping my Delta, I prepared for a little fun.... but no. It was a nice green dot that was rather friendly, and rather than introduce him to my little BLP friend there was just a little casual chatter as we headed our separate ways.

As the hunt came to a close, we took a short break from killing. Stood at the edge of PvP1, the scanners came out as Trifle and qc tried to scan me. Now I'm not sure what the problem wa, but I'm actually unscannable. When you click on me to scan, the result is rather amusing:

(screenshot from qc)

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Yep. Apparently I'm a scanner. No matter what either of them tried, that was the result. I didn't realise my armour gave me such powers!

SELLING: Arokh's Unique Stat-Stealth Nemesis Armour -> TT+60K ;)
Features:
-Makes you unscannable. Never be embarassed by your poor agility again!
-Cloaks your gun. Go into PvP confident your opponent has no idea what weapon you're using!
-Looks exactly the same as regular Nemesis Armour.
-Arokh not included.

Heh, I wish.

Yay. A new diary entry... hopefully better typed this time. Let's get this straight - I CAN spell properly. I mean I didn't get A* grades in English Language / Literature for being a total retard you know. I just can't type properly for some reason.... most likely due to the fact that I'm not pressing the keys down hard enough. Thus I will start proof reading my diary entries so I at least don't look totally incompitent. :wise:

Well it seems I'm back in game now. That break lasted a nice 10 days didn't it? Bah! Not sure why but I've been drawn back in game again to find new and interesting ways to lose PEDs. Not that I mind too much, but I'm hoping that now I'm back I can be somewhat economical in skilling and see if I can top 55K total skills by the end of this year.

My new plan: Boost my total skills up quickly by passing the discipleship-passing requirements of all weapons.

All I need to do is start on shortblades and long blades after finishing my current Powerfist skilling. I'm already nearing 4K rifle, recently passed 2K handgun and near to 2K Powerfist. The idea behind my decision is that skilling the melee weapons left will mean my evade will get a nice boost as will my total skill count and hopefully health. There's also the fact that if I do ever decide to chip out I'll have more full chips to sell. ;)

Maybe once that's done I can continue to skill towards the Serendipity unlock... which is about as slow to come as second class post.

So what have I been doing recently? Well I've been wandering about various locations trying to hunt Armax in hope that maybe I'll get some rather nice loots of them... *cough*2K PED uber HoF*cough* ...because my PED card is feeling rather light nowadays. Equipping my Justifier and Nemesis armour, I headed North of Troy where there's usually a large spawn of them.

I spent about three or four hours there killing a variety of maturities with different weapons. Even powerfisted an Armax Cow Young down. What did I get for my efforts? About 230PED and an ESI in total for the whole hunt... which I reckon is okay, given I spent about 300PED ammo and went through 3 or 4 A-103 amps. Yes, it's still a loss overall - but not as bad as I though it would be, but still disappointing considering I didn't global or anything.

Figuring it wasn't to be with the Armax, I moved onto Ambulimax around Nea's Place. I've never hunted these creatures solo before without getting my ass handed to me. Then again the last time I hunted them was with Pixie Armour. It seems my Nemesis and 2A plates take the damage quite well. On average I take about 9 damage or so from the Youngs, so I can handle them quite well. Loots were horrible. I got about six or seven no looters followed by one or two PED. Then to rub it in someone HoFed on Armax about halfway through my hunt. Still, you have to laugh huh? :D

Deciding that hunting big mobs was't good enough, I donned my Powerfist and beloved Dragon armour. It was time for an uber-cheap hunt. I basically ran around the Limnadian (sp?) District punching anything and everything with a health bar. This included RipperSnappers and an OJ....whom didn't seem particularly amused at my Mike Tyson impression. But it was fortunate that I chose to skill Powerfist at that point. I ended up killing a RipperSnapper Young which globalled for 66PED. Globals like that are a really nice end to an otherwise poor hunting session.

Apologies for the short(er) diary entry. For some reason I have very little recollection of the last few days... not sure why. But one thing I do know is that someone from "the other game we can't mention on EF" has managed to follow me into EU. I'm not going into the details, but it's someone I have issues with. No names mentioned, but if I ever find you in a PvP zone - please send my regards to the revival terminal. :sniper:

And so contnue the days where I'm chronically short of PEDs again. A nice HoF or generous global would solve all my problems right now. My equipments fallen into a serious state of decay and rather than repair them, I choose to spend the money on ammo. It's more important right now. After all, what's the point of having really healthy gear if you can't use it? If only MA allowed Duct Tape to be sold at the TT - I'm sure I could do a half decent DIY repair job on my armour. How hard could it be?

Thus began my great search for a HoF. Don't laugh. It may be futile, but at least I'm trying rather than posting on a forum whining about poor loot. Except now of course. But I decided on hunting Armax again because I feel out of all mobs the chances are greater of getting a nice loot off them compared to any other mob. Do I have proof? No. But I have a gut feeling, and usually it's right. I think...

I teleported to Minopolis - there's some nice Armax are South of there that aren't too hard in maturity. Grabbing some ammo from the TT I walked there (see what I've become? I'm not even using my TP chip!). Hrm, on the way I killed one or two Armax Cow Matures and got some okay loot - about 4 to 7PED each. At that very moment Enska PM'd me - the result of which was him coming down to mmet me and join in the hunt. He wasn't long and within moments we created the "AROKH & ENSKA" team. Yes, it's all in capital letters - mainly becaue I was too lazy to properly capitalize the names, so I just used Caps Lock as a matter of convenience. Well... first Armax we killed resulted in about 25PED loot. Things were looking up, and I began thinking that Tim Welter Timkrans was being nice to me for once. ;)

Sadly the next few Armax looted terrible. In fact the best loot we got was about 2PED off them, and the Caudatergus Guardians around the same area weren't looting either. Soon only one dot was left on the radar... on the other side of the brow of the hill we were climbing. I walked up the hill, and to my suprise an Armax Bull Provider ran over the hill. We got it's health down to about half before we were killed.

Had we been less complacent we may have survived. We only had Opalos and thought that dot was something like an Armax Cow Young. Oh well. Die and learn as they say. We revived at an unmarked outpost South of Minopolis:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Forgot to write down the coordinates, but it was nice to find a new location on the map... shame some outposts like this one aren't recorded. But Enska had the coordinates, and we headed off to kill that evil bull. Sadly we never actually made it, because we were attacked several times on the way, resulting in a massive ammo drain and no loot. I decided to pack it in for the night and TPd back to Minopolis. That's when someone else globalled on an Armax. *shakes fist*

After that I decied to join my soc mates to do a bit of sweating - why not? It's free. I need the cash. Let's skip this bit because it's not exactly the most exciting thing to write about. But I did get 1K sweat - so a free 10PED from MA! Now all I need to do is repeat that 140 odd times and get the equivalent of the HoF I want. Mnid you, I did meet someone there whilst sweating. Some memer of the Bahamut Corporation society. Can't remember their name now, but it was something that had a T and an O in the name. Curse my memory! I also gave them a free A-103 amp... because I'm nice like that.

Besides... the name "Bahamut" is associated with dragons, so instantly I like anyone in that soc. lol. (I say associated, because originally Bahamut is an aquatic creature in Arabic mythology - it's because of it's use in the D&D games / Final Fantasy that the names now associated with dragons. But meh - an association is enough for me to be interested). I'm just too easy to win over. ;)

Also I think I came across studley in game. "I think" because he said "hello" to me and unfortunately I didn't notice until I was too late. I was in society chat at the time, and only noticed someone had spoken to me when I switched back to all chat. So apologies studley (if you're actually reading this) - I wasn't ignoring you. Hopefully we'll get another chance to bump into one another. Where did you see me anyway? o_O

After the sweating, I headed over to New Oxford with the intention of seeing the new ship thats there. But before doing that I decided to check auction in some optimistic hope there may be a good deal. Like somone could be selling Angel Armour parts for a buyout of 1PED. [/dream]

As I stood at auction I noticed someone was trying to PM me. I recognised the name straight away and decided to ignore it. Remember my last post I mentioned I had an issue with someone who'd followed me here from another game? Well as it happens they were in New Oxford (probably their starting place or something... I dunno). Out of all the bad luck in the world, I had the unfortunate chance to bump into them. Bah! It was a very short conversation and after refusing to answer his PMs and a friend request, he ran off. I'm not posting the details of our dispute here in a public forum.

I finished in auction, and decided instead of find the ship I'd go hunting. Hunting for my little friend. I found him West of New Oxford, and after a short and sweet discussion I just PKed him. Damn, I feel better already:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

lol, weak damage I know, but my amp wasn't attached to the gun. Usually it does about 40-50 damage. And for people who are reading this thinking "That's why some newbies leave - evil spawn of satan people like you PK them and they get upset and cry"... I do not kill newbies most of the time. Just ones that really wind me up the wrong way. Seriously - if you know me in EU... I'm nice. ;)

At least he came in use - I got an Agility skill gain.

ARGH! How annoying, I just deleted the entire post I typed up. Now to restart. Grrrrrr....... MindBuster - you need to add an 'Undo' function!

A few minutes after my logging in, a small team hunt was arranged by a few soc mates who were on at the time. The plan was to go and hunt some high maturity berycleds North of the Memorial Island teleporter. Now considering I'm a bit poor nowadays, it took a little convincing for me to join them. But I thought I may as well - a nice global or HoF may be there. Deciding to push the boat out all the way, I spent my entire 30PED fortune on ammo. Also trying to shave off any possible repair costs I decided to lose my Nemesis Armour and use my fashionable Dragon set instead. It's much lower TT value and so hopefully any repairs necessary won't break the bank any further. Besides, if I get killed I can die looking good. ;)

I met up with Trifle and qc at the Memorial teleporter and headed North. Luckily we weren't hunting along the way, since to get there you have to cross a PvP zone and with my accuracy... hrm. Could have resulted in a few deaths. And I'm not talking about the mobs. lol Luckily we made it to the LA in one piece and began killing Berys. Loot was okay - ranging from an exciting nothing to about 4PED. Not too bad, but could have been better. Plus my armour was withstanding the hits quite well, considering there were large Berys attacking. Well, until that is we got swarmed by about 20 Bery Olds - Guardians. I died and headed back to the RT in the centre of the LA.

We found an OJ who appeared stuck there, and so began a rescue mission. It was decided we go North to the water and then swim East to Omegatron. Not wanting to be killed again, I put on my Nemesis Armour. Now I could blend in with the OJ. ;) The run went quite well actually - only had one close call when a few Bery Dominants attacked. But apart from that we got him safely to the closest TP where I also checked up on how I'd done on the hunt. 7PED down. Oh well. Could have been worse.

I also visited Phoenix recently since I haven't been there in a while. Besides it's a good place to sweat... which I've started to do again. Hrm. To my suprise a lot of EF members were there, including BlackRain, The Distant One, Kitty and the Jack Daniels master.... Faustian. Heh. it seemed large mobs were being pulled in for OJs to sweat - like Armax and Atrox. I decided to join BlackRain in getting some more mobs, and so we went over the river to fetch some more. We found an Atrox Old which sadly drowned on the way back, and so we had to return to get more mobs. Yay. Some Armax and Atrox. These were run back to Phoenix for the sweaters - I hope they appreciated it. My armour was subjected to horrible damage. :( Cue another repair bill.

A while passed before a few of the EF members left and so sweating returned to normal. That's when I decided to go and grab some more high level mobs. Kitty decided to join me as did someone else (forgot the name) and in a little group, we headed over the river again. We got one or two mobs but on the way back some cheeky so and so tried to kill the mob Kitty was bringing over to Phoenix. They ran off before I could comment properly. *shakes fist* Yep, shame it's not PvP that area.... no doubt there would have been a trip back to th RT for one of us.

Well the bright side of that was that I did get some additions to my ever growing friends list. Its suprising that not all people want to run off after meeting me. Although I can understand Eminem Jeffrey Tony AKA "sweet cheeks" wanting to go running off (you'll have to read THIS thread to understand that one!). lol

Hrm, also whilst I was online later on, Mikah asked me to meet her in the soc apartment for a chat. Uh oh. I thought I was in a little trouble for PKing the newbie Maelthra ,since theres a "No PK" soc rule or something. So I decided to call off my rippersnapper hunt and head back to a teleporter that was East of my position. Sadly I have no sense of direction and actually started swimming West. I only noticed the mistake when my avatar reached the server border. :dunce:

Turning around and laughing at my own dumb mistake, I began the long swim back. Yes, there was the TP chip option, but remember PEDs are tight ATM and so the TP chip is now only used in extreme emergencies. Can't afford more mind essence right now. But eventually I got to my destination, and was pleasently suprised.

In fact I wasn't in trouble. *sigh of relief* It turns out that soc members had chipped in (no pun intended) to buy me a birthday present. It was a Loughlin Smacker Two, one of those (L) Powerists, since I've been slowly skilling PF for a while now. I thought it was a very nice gesture, so thank you to everyone in TV for that! Very kind! ^_^

Apologies for the lack of screenshots - I did take some, but switched off my computer before pasting them into MS Paint. Curse my forgetfulness!

Things have taken yet another unusual turn recently. I was wandering about Twin Peaks since I had nothing better to do... you know how it is. You hang around in certain trading centres wasting MA's bandwidth and just watching the chat to see if anyones got anything interesting to sell. More precisely I've been watching the prices on certain items more closely than ever, because soon I'm planning on selling off practically everythign I own except for one armour set and one or two guns. I need PEDs. Even if it means I have to start selling off my skills to get them.

But in any case, there I was admiring the chat in all of its spammed glory. Until that is I noticed a very familiar name in chat - "tedt". I have previously met tedt on "the other game" a while ago after I joined him in a poker game there. Well at long last I finally manage to stumble across him in EU. He seemed suprised to see me and after a bit of a PM session he asked me if I'd like to go up to CND. Before I could respond properly, he offered to pay for my ticket up there.

Well, how could one refuse such an offer? Besides, it'd mean Maelthra couldn't bother me. lol. I quickly ran to storage and dumped/picked up my items and met him back at the TP. Our flight was supposed to start at the North Space Base and so we TPd there to wait for the pilot and other passengers. Within about five minutes they all arrived:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

As promised, tedt payed for the ticket (many thanks again!), and we boarded the ship after a long delay. It took the pilot a long time to add us to the guest list - I'm not sure what he was playing at to be honest. After we got strapped in, we were told of the flight plan. The intention was to go to Crystal Palace to drop off one passenger, then fly to CND to drop the rest off.

After the oh so exciting screen change (MA: make flights more interesting!) we arrived at CP... apparently. The first passenger got off the craft and went through the doors into the station. Seconds later - just as we were about to take off - he came running back in yelling "WAIT!!!".

Turns out the pilot had taken us to CND rather than CP. I mean what kind of pilot can't distinguish between destinations? But meh, why complain? We all got the the intended destination anyway so it's not much of a big deal. It's just lucky that guy came running back, otherwise we'd have probably ended up getting off at Crystal Palace. I guess it's wouldn't have been a total tragedy. I've yet to see Crystal Palace, but I reckon for me it'd be a waste of money.... unless someone wanted to come on a team hunt with me there... :poke:;)

Anyone? ....no. Thought not. CP will remain out of reach then.

When we arrived, tedt offered to show me his shop - as he promised he would do in "the other game". He led me to the main event area and up to the number 12 section where he has his shop near to Auktuma's and Etopia's. We spent quite a while there as I admired all of the rare items he has on sale. It's certainly impressive to say the least (and reasonably priced too!). There were things like the Mars Globe Lamp and Longu Trophy head. Just a load of items I've never seen before - a lot of them named after players. As I looked around, we were just discussing EU related things. Plus tedt gave me some advice and tips etc as well (tips as in pointers, not the monetary type of tip...) - he was just being generally helpful.

As he restocked the shop, I decided to have a bit of a wander about. I got into the VIP section of CND and managed to have a look at the infamous green Atrox egg. And like any other tourist, I took my photo:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Thinking about it, I reckon ND should forget about saving that egg. It'll go bad soon left out like that. I reckon he should make some kind of uber-omelette out of it. Yum.

But sightseeing only held my interest for so long, before I noticed my PED card. 8PED. Hrm. So I bought an extractor, detonator and some probes from the TT and decided to try some luck with mining. Hopefully I'll get a nice hit... bingo! First probe a Medium of Ares Head - total of 10PED TT value. This looked good. So I used those 10PED to get some more probes and probe around the area where I got that deposit. Maybe there's a few more nice deposits nearby....

No. No hits whatsoever, which destroyed what remained of my PED card. I now have a nice sum of 2PED (give or take a few PECs). *sigh* Thus begins my challenge:

Can I get back to Calypso?

So I now have to find some way of making 20PED up there... or I'll have to sell off my weapons and armour. Sweatings no good at the moment since it's not working properly. Normally I'd deposit and buy myself out the situation, but sadly I can't deposit. anymore My bank now refuses to send money to MA because apparently it's "gambling" and so they now cancel anything I try and pay over to MA. Which I think is total :bs:

So yeah, stranded at CND with 2PED, decayed armour and an ammoless gun with a half broken amp. I think I should have thought this one through a bit more... :(

Even though EU has practically gone tits up for me, I'm in an okayish mood. Mainly because I recieved an E-mail today saying the dragon fursuit I had comissioned when I visited the US is ready. Sadly I can only pick it up when I visit again in May... which is ages away dammit. I needed a full suit anyway. It'll be much better than the rubbishy dragon tail I'm wearing now - which is slowly falling to bits. Evidently the designers didn't envisage someone wearing it 365 days a year...

Time for an update for this thread. Wow, over 1K views of this thread... not sure what's so interesting about my in-game life, but meh. Whatever works for you. :)

I did manage to get down from CND luckily before the price rise in the space flghts. Which I thinks rather lucky, because I have no idea how long it would have taken me to scrounge up another 5PED. How did I do it? Well I TT'd whatever TT worthy junk I had on me, including my beloved Opalo and then sweated the remaining PED. It took ages to do, but I managed to get the 20PED together and got a flight down to Calypso. You see this is why I'm tempted to get a hanger (If I could afford one) - I could fly up there myself for "free"... and bring others along whenever I was going up. Decay on the ship would be negligable, since I'd rarely use it. </dream>

Now I'm safley down on Calypso, I doubt I'll be going up to CND any time soon. I'd only consider it if I have 500PED or more to waste - then the trip would be more worthwhile.

Given the current PED crisis, I decided to sell off some of my gear. I own something like five sets of armour for various reasons. Since theres no way I can use them all, it was time to sell. The one I chose to sell was Nemesis, since it has a reasonably high markup and should sell better than any other set I have. Cue a trip to Port Lag. I ahte this place, but it's the only place where plenty of people come to trade. So there I was, yelling out in chat chat with my efforts to sell the armour.

Trading isn't boring. You get all sorts of weird and wonderful people coming up to you and saying the most random things. Like so:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I feel like hosting a show. "OJ's say the oddest things." How on earth am I spanish, when I was chatting in ENGLISH? You also get people coming up to you and randomly trying to trade you for pointless items you never even asked for. Or sometimes ask if you'll go and hunt with them. Geez... use a little common sense. If I don't say I'm buying / looking for a hunt, then maybe I don't want to. That's why we need a backhand slap emotion in EU. For situations like those.

Eventually I sold my Nemesis set to a member of Supremacy Reign in Twin (PA was a failure). I sold it for lower than I would have liked, but when you're desparate you do anything. The full set was sold for TT+770PED. I was going to sell it for upwards of TT+800, but what's 30PED in the end? I just hope the armour doesn't stop dropping or becomes rare. Otherwise I'll cry. lol

I've also taken a look at the new city.... Chugs Hideout. Not much of a hideout really, considering a lot of people visit and know about it. For those of you who've not seen it yet, here's some screenies for you:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I must say I like it there. It's somewhat different from all the other cities... which are just an "imaginative" collection of similar buildings and various service centres. At least this is a nice place, and I hope MA expands on it a little more. Like you can go in the buildings or something. Hey - maybe this is a the new site for the factories?

I didn't spend too long there, and after meeting some fellow EF people I TP'd away to Phoenix which is the easiest TP to get to from there. My new destination was the cave system under New Oxford. Now that's someting different isn't it? Although I think it'd be much better if there was mobs down there and of course you could be able to mine. I find it silly that you get the message "You cannot mine in this location" when in the MA news section they mention excavations. Yay! We can excavate, but not mine. Where's the logic in that?

Apparently part of the cave is a tomb. Hrm. If MA is planning on making mobs down there, they better not be mummies or something. The last thing I want is a game that resembles a rather poor film (The Mummy) In any case I managed to get lost down there, and the exit signs weren't helpful. I ended up going around in circles and actually had to ask for diections to get out. Being all laggy doesn't help either, since I probably rubberbanded past the exit several times...
