anyone had the same expierence as me ? i was up there last night for an event at dome 2. The shroom event, so it was supposed to be 21:00 MA time. i was t here at 21:00 and ppl had all gone in the # 2 dome. i went in and the dome had a message that said i m not registered and i had a few seconds to go out. so i ask the guy who sold me the ticket where do i go register. so he said they are all in and go register but he did not say where or how. so why the hell he sells ticket and dont know where or how to regiter an event?? 25 ped for an event that no one tells you how to go? and some girl at control room said to nevedie when i was there yelling if anyones know how to register after 21:00 MA TIME, and she siad i told everyone, well i didnt not hear or see the message, i was hunting till 21:00. so i have a beef about this whole thing. it is not about the 25 ped. there was another person that was there that had the same problem too at that time. did anone else have the same expierence ?

The other person with the ticket but unable to register was me. It seems the event terminal does not allow people to join in after the event has started.

Take care,
BB

edit: I should also add that I got a refund for the unused ticket

Yes, if you buy a ticket for an event, you have to regiter that ticket with the event terminal/organiser before the event starts. The ticket then disappears from your inventory and you are registered for the event.

I agree, the process should be better explained.

Concidering the amount of advertising done for the event im suprised info wasnt given for how to register.

Didnt go myself so I cant say if it was good or not, but a little more advice for those who do not know the rules would have been nice.

I predict event managers/hosts as a new profession.
If people who organise events can explain them properly they shouldn't be organising them - or they should pay someone to take care of it for them.

I've been to the event, it was great fun even if I've managed to burn 200 PED of ammos without getting anything in return, but that's my fault :)

So no, the CND event didn't suck ... but maybe the registration process should be clearer (even if I've managed to register alone without any problem ... and that was my first event).

Next time, right click on the ticket, it should help a bit ;)

i can relate to the way your pissed off , but to be fair why did you leave it to last minute

next time show up to an event 10 -15 mins befor hand so that you can sort everything out

its like complaining that you missed your plain at the airport because you showed up at the take off time

URGENT
When you take your ticket to the event terminal to register,
pick the SECOND event listed in all capital letters, and not
the first one listed for Friday, which is not a valid event.

REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE TO REGISTER BEFORE THE EVENT STARTS OR YOU WON'T GET IN

All the info needed could be found at Realityport - The official Club NEVERDIE homepage - in time for the event!!! :wise:
http://www.realityport.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1042

If you buy a ticket to an event you allways have to register it BEFORE the event starts!!! Go to the event terminal to do this! And if you are not sure of how it all works plz do a search on these forums and you will get plenty of info on how events work. This is important info for event ticket sellers aswell. ;)

I always find it interesting that ppl are so quick to judge and lay blame without having all of the facts. Everytime an event is created at CND, the "details" are clearly given in the event thread, and a link to that event thread is always posted here at EF. If you didn't take the time to visit the thread to find out what all the details are, and what rules or guidelines are in place, then you have no one else to blame but yourself.

Here's the thread that I'm referring to ...

Event Registration

Kurtis, I appreceate your frustration. I will re-imburse you for your ticket.

However if you have the abilty to edit your thread title, its unfair to say the Event sucked, when you didn't participate and it was infact a very successful and fun event, that alot of people worked hard to create.

Without Question the placement of the Claim terminals in the fertilizer room at CND is reall bad for Events. I'm hopin the MA will add an Event NPC to the control to simplify it.

There were a number of other people who didnt make it on time... Anyone Who reads this Thread, take Note for Event System Events u must register Your ticket Before the Event starts otherwise you cannot participate..

So if u buy your ticket from an Agent, be sure to get to the Event Early..

Kurtis if ur still up at CND, ask someone to find me and i will re-imburse you.
if you are back on Calypso PM me and we can make arrangements

Just to let everyone know who reads this thread, the event didn't suck and I am not saying that cause I won but because it was a good time. Everyone participated in a variety of ways and had a blast doing it.

Prior to participating in the event, approximately 20 minutes before it started, I went to RealityPort Forums and read the instructions to find out how to register. So, when making a statement as harsh as this, please get the facts straight beforehand and not jump to conclusions.

And, you could have also easily found the ticket seller to try and get a refund like others did.

Speaking only for myself as a Ticket Agent for this event, Every person who bought a ticket from me, was told about registering. I also explained that if they had never done it before, that they should contact me or someone else knowledgeable, for assistance. I urged buyers to register as soon as was possible, to avoid any problems. This was as per directives from MS9, and I'm sure the other Agents were so directed. What actualy transpired at the time of your sale, is unknown to me, so I cannot say where fault, if any, may lie. As was also instructed, I referred all buyers to the Realityport forum for all details, and the ability to ask any further questions.

With ANY event, it is not prudent to arrive at the last minute. Real life circumstances may necessitate this, but it should be avoided. Showing up with 5 minutes to spare, and finding the terminal blocked with several other late registrants, would be equally frustrating. Prior to the event, I made announcements in the Control Room, and spent some time in the fertilizer room, walking people through the process. We did try to handle any problem.

Kurtis, I understand you feelings, but I don't feel it was appropriate to trash the entire event. ND has offered to do what he can to make it right by you, so I hope you will give him another chance in the future, to provide you with a great time. That is the goal of the CND Staff. Please don't think badly of them, for this unfortunate happening.

Seems you cant make everyone happy

The thead title is meesed up, the event was great :D

I just want to know one thing,
Did you right click on the ticket, or even try to look at the event terminal to READ what the event was about and see the rules?
Or did you just take the persons word for it?

Im just curious to see if I can understand the situation, some details seem to be missing from the original post :/

as the ticketprice was 25ped, it most be seen as a impulsebuy which means that you do very little research about it. As a seller you have to expect that, as im sure the ticketssellers do.

But from hes words and the other guy it tells you that there is still a problem and take that problem serious... even tho you cant understand who they could miss all the information about how to register etc.

But it was too hard to go public with it and us a topicname like that.

sugesstion

thank you all for being so informative. i made this thread mainly because i saw many neverdie's stories about getting CNDand i actually admire him for that. now i would like to say one thing, many of us are not english spoken ppl. we do not have THE habbit of reading that much. so would you consider making those ppl that are selling you tickets who in fact are the pilots and co pilots which most of them will add us to their frirend list. PLEASE JUST PM US and that will take care of the problems. thank u all for your kind attention. one more thing, i waited till 5:00am my time to be at that event, so i was a little ticked off :)

mr. neverdie thk u, i will keep that ticket in my appartment :tongue2:

tiltle has been changed~

Yes, fix the freakin event title....that is unfair and imprecise. I too was upset for missing the event...but don't take out your frustration on the wrong people.

Sucks I missed this event...which I really wanted to attend....but it was not because I didn't know about registering...it was because I messed up the time...thought it was 3pm my time...turned out it was 2pm my time. Unfortuntaly, some serious family matters don't allow me to hang out on the side of town where my computer is that past week or so.

I will say that Asti was very very clear about the need to register for the event.

I can understand how frustrated you were... I was pretty bummed out myself...after driving an hour across town just to attend it....but stuff happens....it was not ND's or Asti's fault.

Though... I would like to make a suggestion for your site ND, and maybe (in my dreams) in EU. An easy tool for translating a particular MA time to a local time. You could probably easily find some code that will do this for the reality port site. It would help to keep blockheads like me from getting it wrong.

ps..I still can't figure out how I got the time wrong... I thought I used a webtool to look it up...but it probably has something to do with daylight savings time....what I want to know...is what they do with all the daylight they have saved.

Gratz to my buddy Rob, btw for winning... I am sort of glad I was not in that event...as I would have kicked his 0311 grunt little butt!

When i got my ticket, i was told very well how to register. I was even escorted to where i needed to register and told how to do it every step of the way.

I think it is unfair to judge an event that you did not participate in because it was loads of fun! It is amazing how people criticize things when all the details are clearly stated...

Anyways, at least ND is kind enough to re-imburse you. I would probably not have done the same...

Thank you Kurtis, for having the integrity to make the edits you did. I'm sure the CND Staff, and all who helped with the event, stand with me on this.

too bad i missed this event, but there no one to blame than me, i had few ciders and glass of wine, so time flies when hunting ;)

ty to Amboulimax or whoever my pilot was, who gave my PEDs back when i told i don't wanna go up there anymore, cause i was late allready.

til next time :kos:
