This tool rocks, +rep 5*.
Thank you very much!
Thanks, glad you like it.
Also, kind of big update:
enhancer decay rate.
I've spent some time lately wondering if it's really worth using enhancers on weapons, specifically damage enhancers. Last couple of days I've run some small scale tests and read every thread about it on the forum that I could find, and apparently the decay rate (chance of one enhancer breaking after X shots) is dependant on how much of a difference the enhancer does to the weapon (verified by MA in the thread linked below; I'm assuming they actually told the truth). Since damage enhancers gives you 10% increase in damage, a high damage weapon would theoretically break more enhancers on the same number of shots than a weapons with lower damage.
From what tests I've read about, many people report an average break rate of one damage enhancer each 2500-3500 shots. It is though, possible that the rate is different on different sockets. Many others have also reported a break rate of closer to 1 in 1000 shots, and this value is what is used on Entropedia, and supposedly what MA actually have reported earlier (I have not confirmed this, someone said it out of the blue in one of the threads, and as you know 87% of all people believe something when there's a number to it).
Anyhow, the break rate can be adjusted for each socket and each enhancer type, but the default value is set to 1 in 1000, as to not give people false hopes if the actual break rate is far lower than the 2500-3500 range. The markup for each enhancer and socket is also editable. As of writing, the markups for enhancers on Entropedia is retardedly high (~1700% for a socket I damage enhancer, whereas on the auction it's close to ~350%), and I will adjust the default values for at least the damage enhancers soonish.
The best
thread I could find on the subject, which is quite new as well. A lot of good information comes in the end of it, so if you decide to read it, read it all!
The percentage of the cost that is spend on enhancer breakage can be seen in the detailed view in the 'Visualized cost' section, and also as a raw number in the 'Cost details' section.
If you toggle the "Use enhancer decay" option and start adding enhancers to a weapon, it will affect the DPP and the cost.
I haven't thoroughly tested all of the use cases in this update since I'm a little pressed on time right now, so please report any bugs that you find.
Below is the worst possible screenshot I could get of it.
