Entropia Universe 11.4.4 Release Notes

my download is saying dynamic error or complaining about my networking, but clearly nothing is wrong with my network........(kicks pc) work!!
 
You do have to question the logic of doing this right when we get a newbie influx.

Then again, MA and Logic don't exactly go hand in hand. I don't think they're even allowed within 1km of each other...
 
In the middle of the download, i get an this..
"Error executing entropia_universe_setup_mini.exe"
After "Ok", i get:
"Patch was not executed correctly.
Make sure you have enough diskspace."
I think 21GB free on system partition, and 111GB free on game folder partition where there game is installed :(

I'm stuck!

At least you don't get the very patronising:

"Could not connect to server! Check your internet connection! Are you sure you've checked your internet connection?! Check it again! It ain't us!"
 
Error executing entropia_universe_setup_mini.exe.... and now what to do? wait 2 hours to reinstall entropia??...
 
just retry or ignore all failures I did and I'm in now, but be prepared for another crash as stuff is still not working (unless flashing and shaded textures are the new dynamic content ;))
 
mini_exe ??? need more disk space
244 giga free space so how much we need ??
 
i've go to the folder where i have the game installed and ive run the minipatch.exe and now im downloading something .... :confused:
when i was requested for the path to install ive selected the directory where i have entropia installed.
 
i also get the Make sure your internet connection is working and make sure that your security software is correctly configured.
Check Entropia Universe homepage and see if the servers are online!
Try again later!

and then

Failed downloading
/dynamic_content/shared/parameters/items.xbc_38511258

this error is likely caused by a network problem. first please check your other internet services(access to web pages etc). if the outage is temporary the client loader will attempt to resolve the issues automatically (click try again). if the problem persist please contact planet support. (error code 10035)

now i dont want some smug to say "there could be something wrong with your internet) because i no 100% there is nothing wrong with my networking or internet.

Will there be alternative download methods other than the clientloader available?

My gaming machine at home is sitting on a really poor dsl and it takes ages (100 mb like 2-3 hours or so) to download. Right now I always looked when updates where incoming at the updates folder on entropiauniverse.com and downloaded it at a friends place or at work and then brought it back home.

I would really hate it if I had to spend my evening now downloading updates instead of playing the game just because the clientloader is now mandatory.

Can you check if there will be ftp or a plain website with the patches to download which can be then put in the dynamic content folder?

I don't know if I am the only one that did it that way, but it was the only way I actually was mastering the past updates, lol. Not sure if I want my machine having to download a new client for 3 days in the future :mad:
 
Please define '..make download process smoother...'
 
Anyone actually successful with this setup exe?

I waited a few mins & it redownloaded it rather than trying to apply it immediately, same outcome though :(

lol that's defiantly something MA would do. ya i keep getting that bullshit. im not a genius but im decent wen it comes to internet problems and trouble shooting and its not my internet -.-

Just click Retry, and it will most likely work I did that for those warnings and all is good now I'm in collecting my stones now (ok maybe not all are ok but at least I'm in lol)
 
For everyone having the "entropia_mini : not enough space" problem
Go to your game folder (yes, the file will be there) and execute it manually.
 
for all that need help:
1 run entropia after vu
2 go where you have installed the game
3 run the minipath.exe
4 when you are asked choose to install the content where you have installed the game
5 let the download process till end
6 you can play the game
like that ive done :) :yay:
 
great update... cant equip/unequip armor... and I have no ground to stand on.. so keep jumping up and down.. but possible to kill steelbirds :D

well i did that for a 100 times now is that enough or should i go to reinstalling ?
 
run entropia in admin mode (right click-> run as admin)

ps: its always good to try when sth with entropia update doesn't work
 
Downloading dynamic content... So far so good...

Probably preperation for more planets to arrive - perhaps after this and those further steps they are talking about will enable us to choose like Planet Calypso to download and not 101 other planets...

wont download for me either

it keeps saying network problem, i keep pressing retry and nothing, i pressed it about 100 times now

i just sent a support case i wonder what bullshit of how its my fault there going to try to spoon feed me
(adds a little arsenic to it)
