I need to remove this stupid Google Search bar thingy.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Its not in the "Add/Remove Programs", Disabling anything google related in the addons doesn't help. I HATE it and it seems tohave just appeared today.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to remove it?

Please Help.
Thanks.

Go..tools-options-general- manage addons..scroll down to offending program and uninstall gl

View -> Toolbars -> Customize...

Your mouse cursor should change into a hand that lets you drag things. Grab the search bar and drag it somewhere - I dragged it into the Customize Toolbar window that opened and it's gone.

Right click on the bar above the search box and choose customize.

New window opens.

You can then drag the seach box in that window and it should stay there.
(you get a little hand cursor when you can drag things)

Ahh too slow :)

Thank you very very much. Great help, unlike others who just told me to use something else. lol. :p

Well, I guess that it's not possible to really get rid of a Google-thing anyway. The "tool" probably will continue to send all kinds of info about what you do to Google.
