4 Highlights :
1.Very high Damage per second = reduce close contact time, save on your armor and FAP costs.
2.Very high Damage per hit = enchasers last real long + works for PVP also !
3.Relativly low skill requirments (for such DPS).
4.Event winner. All the Damage per second and up to12000ped of game per run (if fully repaired) is taking 1.2kg in your invertory. Not many are paying attention to this, but, in practice, for 1 - 5 hour hunting events, not many can compete with nonstop user plowing his way directly to top score. Differance is even bigger if event is taking place on land without Teleporter.

You should post a screenshot from the Item Info window. Especially the Tier Increase Rates. Because we have good and not so good Niflheims here ;-) And an info about tiering costs would be interesting.
 
Maybe you right about tier rates, updated.
For Tier costs , its open info on entropedia.
