As a "Royal and Ancient" society, and in the absence of any other PGA, The Church of Lootius is stepping up to the plate.
We will be hosting an Annual Golf Tournament according to the rules set out below:
Golf - Calypso Edition.
The game can be played by teams of 2 - 12 payers, and will require at least 1 Match Scorekeeper and 1 Flag Bearer.
The game consists of 5 Holes for Casual play or 18 Holes for Tournament play.
Holes may comprise 4 or 5 strokes.
Format is individual matchplay - lowest final score wins.
There are 2 variants of the game – Standard (Non-PVP) and Full Contact (PvP)
1, Standard Play:
Structure of Hole play :
The Flag bearer will move to the first stroke target zone, and provide the co-ordinates to the Scorekeeper, who will communicate them to the competing team. The team will teleport to the target, and whoever lands furthest from the Flag Bearer incurs a 1 stroke penalty for a total of 2 points accumulated. The rest accumulate one point each for the stroke and the Flag Bearer moves to the next target. The process repeats until all strokes for the par are complete, with the final stroke being "The Hole".
The Hole - Standard play:
The final stroke of the Hole awards one stroke to the closest on target, and other players each incur an additional 1 stroke penalty. Lowest total score over all strokes wins the Hole, and play proceeds until the round of 5 or 18 holes is complete.
Tie-breakers:
In the event of a tie, a sudden death single extra stroke is played between tied players.
2. Full Contact Play:
In Full Contact Play, there is only The Hole, no strokes. It is also not point-based, but rather on a winner-takes-all basis. A game comprises 5 holes (casual) or 18 holes (tournament)
The Hole - Full Contact play
For a Full Contact hole, the Scorekeeper will provide a specific resource to the Flag Bearer, who will carry it to the location of the Hole which will be within a lootable PvP area.
Once the Scorekeeper reveals the target, all players enter the area to loot the resource from the Flag Bearer. The first player that returns to the Scorekeeper with that designated resource wins The Hole. Players are free to attempt to interdict or otherwise acquire the resource from whoever carries it until it is traded to the Scorekeeper outside PvP.

Anybody is free to organise events using these rules, For official Tournament ranking, games must be officiated and recorded by CoL members, which we will provide at scheduled ranking matches.
Tournament date will be announced later this year, and entry will be determined by rankings accumulated during the year. It will be an annual event.
