I'm not sure if I break yet another rule here exercising free speech, but since I really want a discussion about this I'd like to point out that in this thread different kinds of politics should not be discussed. I may be breaking another ridiculous rule here. Probably "rule 33.4.5.BC: you should not write too many letters" or "rule 37.1.5.BB: you should not question authority."
But I will go for it, as I always have and as I will continue to do under my existence:
I guess a few would claim that AR Company or whatever their name is bought this forum, but it clearly states TM & ©2005 - 2012, MindArk PE AB. All rights reserved. so I will assume they were the ones' buying the forum, which makes me wonder a) why I have to go to 711 to fix a forum issue and b) how MA wants the rules to reflect them.
I recently had a discussion with 711 via PM. Or, well, I wouldn't call it a discussion - he didn't reply after shoving yet another rule in my face, but I just felt a bit irritated later this night so I wanted to dwell deeper into this subject. It was about politics.
I claimed that it was ludicrous and ridiculous to make political discussions "outlawed" on PCF-forum owned by MindArk PE AB. Why? may you be asking. I will tell you why: PED is directly connected to the American dollar. America being what it is tends to ... well, I don't want to become political, but America is what it is. We all agree on that, I'd think. Apparently it is not okay to discuss the future of PED because it is not okay to discuss Americas economical future even though it is directly associated with PED. Do you fully understand what that means? This rule is very clear: you are not allowed to discuss politics which may economically influence the American dollar; e.g. you are not allowed to discuss the future worth of PED.
Anyone with a brain out there understands the seriousness of this. Of course I could go to another forum, but if it's illegal to murder in a certain country do you then ask me to go somewhere else? It's a moral dilemma and my question and the topic of this thread is if MindArk really wants to be represented as a company who forbids discussions about the future prospects of their currency.
Are they acting on good faith that 711 will represent them well? If we would go back a few years I'd understand that I'd have no real say about this since it was an unofficial forum. But this forum is officially owned by MindArk PE AB and the offical policies here represents MindArk PE AB. There's no way around this. I don't believe MindArk PE AB (yes, I will repeat their full company name) is stupid in general, so I don't believe that they would knowingly act in such an extreme stupidity - but that would mean that they've acted in ignorance, and I don't think they would act in ignorance either.
Therefore my only conclusion can be that they aren't as involved as they perhaps should be. They only wanted this forum with all this useful information to new players to be official, but in reality it's not an official forum. 711 runs this forum with the same unofficial rules and is right now representing MindArk PE AB as a company whom does not wish that discussions about the future worth of their PED should be allowed.
tl;dr: How does MindArk PE AB want to be represented? Should an official forum for MindArk PE AB really forbid discussions which evaluates the future prospects of the American dollar, e.g. PED?
Keep this on topic.
