Start the game using Entropia.exe in your Entropia Universe/bin32 folder. Not the ClientLoader.exe which the shortcut go to.

See my specs above ;)

yea but as this file is "generatd by the game", it gets re written every time you start the game :scratch2:
Yeah. Enoying...

Just put the "read only" attribute on the file.

My contents for low specs (I put ";" at first few lines now):

Okay I tried this with sys_spec_Full = 1 but didn't work. I also tried to put the whole list Luckycharm posted but still didn't help. HELP!!

Does this give you the issue where your Avatar is black or does it look normal?

Ye sometimes it happens but it recovewrs too. I keep changing the stuff in the file to see what happens a bit

If you can get it right why can someone at FPC coding office?

Oki heres the code for window size :) :

r_WidthWin=1680
r_HeightWin=1050

use ur own fav windowsize ofc lol

So no one really knows what I could do? Do I have to wait until MA patches and fixes this problem?!

how did you find it? :D i thought i had it but it wasnt the exact same.

Well the executablw holds a treasure of options to put in the cfg files really. It's awesome ;p

And how do I change the fullscreen resolution? :confused:

thanks for the tips, and here is a bump for this usefull thread :cool:

Very usefull stuff here guys ( and girls^^) tyvm

Still get kicked out of game like every 5 sec's but at least i see something of EU now ^^

Thnx. I will give it a try =)

Great tread

I've run out of patience for today as far as EU is concerned, but will try this first thing in the morning.
I've not got the black ava problem, as a matter of fact I can see it in great detail (bum covered with cellulite included :confused:) considering that I was logging in with highest graphics options and crashing as I attempted to change to lower settings in order to at least be able to move around without lagging.
However, after following a number of treads on how 'unfinished' this VU is, I'm in no hurry to run down to the store and buy myself a new PC, or even upgrade this one. My plan is to sit back and watch the story unfold. At the end of the day, real money is at stake here and I have no plans to fund the beta testing that should've been done properly before the official release.

very very well done!
helps alot here untill i got my new card at home.

but.... do u also know the line to enable:
Align radar with camera ?

thanx for great thread!!

That is a global option (stored on server, hence the globe in front of it (cursor over it)). Only thingies with a screen icon in font of it can be put in ur config file.

Nice job all on continuing to dig more - the better directory explanation + additional texture fixes are excellent. Thank you. :yay:

BTW, ZLostAlien touches on this, but just to make it clear: the sys_spec_Full setting sets somewhere around 150 individual settings, many of them graphics related. If you're going to be setting other things in this file, like 'sys_spec_AvatarQuality', etc...make sure those come AFTER the sys_spec_Full setting. If you screw that up, sys_spec_Full will cause your earlier changes to be blown away.

You can think of sys_spec_Full as an ubersetting that resets everything in game to low, medium, high, very high.

-------------------
For those that want to dig further to 'fix' their cards: this MIGHT help. Here's a list of the settings in Crysis. I would *guess* most of these translate over to PE. MA clearly has added additional ones, and removed others, but maybe you'll find the magic setting for your particular card. Warning: following this link / messing with these settings will really lead you down the rabbit hole. You may spend a hell of a lot of time on something that a new card might just quickly solve for you.

http://incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=11614

Skip down to the graph that says "The actual settings of Low/Medium/High/Very High'. Note that the bottom there is a link that says "See the full real size image with definitions and many more settings here." Click on that link.

Credit for that info goes to MadBoris + MadShark at the Crysis Forums who discuss them in lengthy detail, not I.

Example:

See the column list at the top that says Low|Med|High|Very High? That corresponds to sys_spec_Full = 1, 2, 3, 4. The Console variable is the name of the setting (like sys_spec_AvatarQuality).
So at the very top of the chart, if you wanted to mess with the ca_AttachmentCullingRation (whatever that is) and set it to Medium, you would add

ca_AttachmentCullingRation=120

below your sys_spec_Full setting. You could set it to whatever you want, really, just an example.

Your suggestion got my pc running the game, but I still have a problem reading the in-game text. That's the only thing keeping me from, at least experiencing the new VU.

so meaning u cant set that option untill the fixing of the save-options has been done...

:(

oki ty :)

Well if it doesn't work (I've not tested this) it's because mindark doesn't save the setting on their servers. In the past this was also stored in your profile they have and that still should be the case.

thanks dude i was looking for this type of cfg file but i was looking in the program files section.

thanks for pointing out were the other files were :yay:
