I think something is still wrong with loot!

And i got a point to "prove" it!

I have like many other had some rotten luck lately, im not complaining i know it tends to even out. But i have notised something that seems fishy, when i loot small items like paintings i allways seem to get a bit of ammo along the side, this ammo is unlike all other ammo i loot, still in the small old number.
As example, the other day i looted a painting and 10 ammo, could it be that thers part of the loot database that havnt been proper upgraded to new numbers ?

So what do you think and have others notised something similar ?
 
Loot has gotten better actually :p I was on CP for a small hunt and got 3 globals o_O

and the other day I got a nice run on atrox too making me almost shit my pants thinking the skies where falling down :p

But thats not what this is about :) and yes im sure it evens out, but MA can be blind and they can ignore a problem for ages, if not mentioned. justifying that statement i can point towards the axe scandal, for nearly a year the small axe had 1 extra electric dammage making it very good for its money, they took forever to pick up on it and by then economy was hard pressed.

Very interesting. If this is true, would that mean there is a seperate loot database for each mob? Or for each server?
 
Only thing that really counts is the TT value of the return.
If you only get 10 rounds of ammo instead of 1k and a few enhancer components, at first it might seem you got less, but theri value evens it out.
Also MA stated, that they shifted the return in favour of those components and less ammo.

What i can tell is , my TT return went down a lot after the VU 10.6.6...
 
Hmm, interesting observation... I had a very small ammo drop along with a jingo mask. When they changed the ammo quantities I thought it was (partly) to allow them to drop fractional loot, ie sub- 1pec value, so I assumed it was part of the plan, but I guess it is entirely possible that they have simply overlooked a table in the conversion.
 
actually ive made a interesting supcase some time ago ill post what the answer was:

Theres much room of interprating those sentences.
For my interpretation that means no matter what im doing i cant influence my success by my own, i just have to wait (play) until the system decides u to do better...

"sooner or later" For me it seems that many plp will do better "later" but later can be anytime......

maybe there will come the day the system decides us to give something back when the time is come.

Mine started rising slightly a week ago, without any VU. And my bad returns started end of November.

loot is like a woman, one never knows before with what you will end up afterwards ;D
 
I think loot sucked when Scipulor and other semi-big mobs were dropping just 1 Blazar as loot!

They definitely changed that though in one of the more recent updates, since then loot seems back to normal for me...

which is still crappy... for me anyways! :(
 
wonder if that change in number of blazer drops relates to the decrease in value of blazer including markup and would tend to support the theory that MA did indeed change % of return to include markup

Was have the Blazars to do with the general return ?
You get them instead of a no-looter and not as regular loot.

They seem to change it with every VU, just how it fit's them. Loot went back to normal after SGA for me. Since the last mini VU it's so bad, I don't even want to log in. Increased stabiliy....of shitty loot again. :D

Really funny MA, is that casino language for "keep betting till broke" ?
 
I see it more like typical EU programming..

We pay for peds and there are now zeros on the end of the pile..

We win ped and there are no zeros.

MA train of thought is zeros dont have value..

Every time I think of the MA loot balancer I picture him with his foot on the player side of the scale holding it down and with cigarette in hand saying, "what are they bitching at we have loot set in their favor."

As he leaves and takes foot away the scale slams back the other way and the programmers point out the inbalance so he comes back sets foot back on scale looks down and says "what? I see no problem with balance."

But its nice to know where my ped go...now i can just blame you :D
 
It can also be that you are able now to loot parts of a pec; that else wouldn't be looted at all? Just guessing here because since the new crap in huning and the absurd ammo chance I only mine and kill the odd mob on my claim.
 
The year 2010 has started poor... I hope it will pass and i will able to continue bashing without taking a loan from a bank... I know these lows happen, but this one has been very bad, been very hard to keep playing. Now give them hofs MA! Good luck all, hope it gets better.

Try to play smart! It IS possible. Don't care for the whining jokes of elder players ;)

If i remember correctly this was a problem the first days of the patch where ammo was changed and MA came out with an update and said that they had done a misstake about this...

I'm not sure about it but I can remember it so clear, but now I can not find documents that proves it
 
Hope Marco sees this and kills my theory with one os his usual oneliners :)

Smart, what's that ? My playing habbits won't allow me to go all the way down to opalohunts yet. But believe me, i have tried a great variety of weapons, mobs, locations and times but had no luck. That said i believe that i just have a low, bad period going and i can not change it what ever i try. And... Sorry... I have sinned... I tried mining too...luckily that did not work either, nor did crafting simple easy stuff.
 
As long as I been playing eu and reading ef (almost 2 years) something has always "been wrong with loot".

Even back when people felt it was the good ol days of eu (items in loot, ped, etc), I saw posts like this.

Ma isn't going to ever give 100% back in a game named after the word entropy.
